My friend and I went to the north of Finland, to Oulu, for a weekend trip.
It was so freezing cold but so worth it! The snow, the people, and the city are so nice.
Can only recommend going there if you have the chance to.

We love visiting my son and his family in Oulu. Generally visit 2 or 3 times a year. Wok is one of our fave places to eat, but also enjoy the salmon soup in the market hall. Las Feb was pushing it a bit as it was minus 17 with chill factor making it minus 23. I love visiting in the winter, but as we are now almost old enough to qualify as fossils, winter is less easy for us.
sounds beautiful! but it’s just so cold especially in the winter months but the landscape is stunning!

Nice video. Oulu is an enjoyable small city. It's famous for its bicycle-friendliness, even in wintertime. Pekka Tahkola has made some great videos about it recently.

i would not call Oulu a small city when it is the 5th largest city in Finland, but yes Oulu feels smaller compared to other big cities in Finland.
@@maxxedit1539 I was thinking on international scale of cities. Oulu is big among Finnish cities and towns.
It’s more spread out than many cities, more people live in detached houses.
