      @@Hencid it really was the golden era of mtg. I miss the days of the scg tour was going on every weekend and we have Cedric and Patrick as commentators. Not to mention to mention modern on Saturday’s and legacy on Sunday’s. It was definitely peak mtg to me.

    Definitely would love to see these matches live, keep up that grind!

      @@QuirkyDragon thanks for the feedback! I can definitely give recording live a try. I wasn’t sure what kind of content people preferred. I personally like watching live as well, but also get that recording over gameplay makes the video shorter overall and maybe more watchable? Plus I can see some of the misplays I made. Which there are many lol. I will definitely keep this in mind for future videos. Thanks again.

    This deck brought me back. It's crazy how back in the day snapcaster electrolyze felt like so much card advantage. Nowadays if your 5 mana spell isn't winning you the game what are you really doing?

      @@Xerlic1212 the deck definitely felt nostalgic. It’s funny isn’t, how we know power creep is happening. But you don’t really realize the extent of it until you go back and look or play an “older deck”.

    is there a reason for no Expressive Iteration or is it cos you wanna keep it as "Boomer" as possible

    • @thatbadcontrolplayer
      @thatbadcontrolplayer  วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@dereal_deal I think the biggest thing is being instant speed. Since we don’t play any way to answer a resolved artifact, enchantment, or planeswalker we don’t want to tap out against our opponent and give them a window to resolve something. Of course you can burn a planeswalker, but it’s super inefficient. That’s the only reason I think you don’t see iteration in the deck. Iteration is a hell of a card.
      We do run the Jace which is “sorcery” speed. But you hopefully stick him after you traded resources with your OP and you’re both down on cards in hand, then you can stick Jace and they don’t have a crazy turn. If Jace lives, the game probably ends.
      Just my 2 cents on iteration.

      @ i seee thats a pretty good way to look at it after explanation definitely can understand the reasonings for cutting it. Personally i missed the time when EI was such a good card that there were talks of getting it banned. Hoping to see a deck utilise it well one day

    Milling out the mill deck is never not funny.
    I did that once by casting Ulamog the Defiler taking half their library and swinging ulamog the ceaseless hunger to rip 20 off the top

    • @thatbadcontrolplayer
      @thatbadcontrolplayer  วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Blacksunstoneful that’s one way to beat them at their own game lol. You just did much faster than they could have. I bet Tasha’s hideous laughter didn’t do much to you with such high cmc cards at least!

    the game the mill deck blocked with crab you had a second plage on grave that would be letal, he had to block there

    • @thatbadcontrolplayer
      @thatbadcontrolplayer  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@caueguimaraes358 good call on the phlage in the graveyard. If the OP didn’t block and took the full 6 from phlage, they would be at 4 after combat. And Escape phlage would have dealt them another 3. So they would have been at 1 life I believe.
      They could have then untapped, bounce the bounce land, play bounce land, mill me 3, then field of ruined me and milled 3 more. Putting me at 0 cards in deck.
      I may be missing something though. I never played mill and math isn’t always my strong suit. That’s why I play control decks and not aggro lol.

      @@thatbadcontrolplayer if OP didn't block and you escape phlage, you SHOULD be killing the last crab with the 3 damage instead. That's probably OP's thought process too, that's why blocking your phlage was the correct move.
