I like your presentation/reasoning on this -- additionally, in Acts 1 the angels said, "They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” ... Notice the statement "will come." They don't say "will come twice" or "will make a few low-key appearances." The angels see it as one definite coming that is ocularly spectacular and unable for anyone to miss. Jesus told the 2 disciples on the road that all of the law and prophets spoke of Him. If we ignore the OT, we would be ignoring lots of Word of God to our own detriment. Without the OT, the NT would be lost without its foundation.
I watched a few Apologia videos and something was always off, now mind you they were not talking about end times stuff it was a different subject abortion and stuff like that but I had a check in my spirit that this was not a ministry I should follow. This video confirms why. Thank you!!!!
I've been a historic premillenialist for 40+ yrs, so I am in agreement with most of Joel's statements. My problem is with the delivery. He seems to becoming increasingly defensive and antagonistic toward PEOPLE with contrary views. Calling them "ignorant", "jokers" (this episode) and "liars" (multiple past episodes) is not in line with his closing remarks, which specifically say "refute... with gentleness and in love."
Maybe pray for our dear brother who like all of us are going through struggles and personal hardships, i don't know if you heard during his teaching that his dear wife has been suffering with excruciating pain for over 4 years so if he seems a little edgy maybe he's struggling with his own pains and things maybe getting to him slightly. I'm guessing the translators struggled a bit trying to convey the movement, quickness and brightness of light dawning as the sun rose, so translated it as lightning as something everyone would understand, but it didn't mean a lightning flash. It can mean Twilight and lightning in greek, so this is where the confusion comes in.

Joel, pagan, Greek philosophy also believed that all humans have eternal life. They did not believe in resurrection life of the saved. Augustine taught the error of the Greeks concluding that the lost have eternal life in eternal conscious torment in hell. This is not scriptural. Look Joel, when you got saved The Lord impressed on you that you were heading to hell. He did the same to me. I had been taught in Catholicism that hell was eternal torment. Putting two and two together we could both wrongly assumed that The Lord was showing us that we had been headed to eternal conscious torment. So if you literally take the Bible as meaning that someone will always be on Gods Throne then the British throne is the only one left. Yes, other verses have this word meaning brightness as in a lamp. It can describe the brightness of lightning but not BE lightning as in Matt 28:3.

London is great, but it’s not the Psalm 2 “holy hill” the LORD explicitly deems “His.” That is only Jerusalem.

You sir are telling the Christians will not be pre raptured. Who do you think is coming back with Jesus at the end of the tribulation. In order for the Saints to return with Christ they had to be pre raptured before the tribulation. You are wrong on the pre rapture

All the contortions that PTers do to God's Word to deny that Paul is quoting the Discourse in 1Thess. gets so tiring . For them, "a word from the Lord" has to be some special Revelation Paul gets and where he then slips in this new secret rapture teaching. It truly angers me to see how dishonestly and disrespectfully some treat Scripture just so they can hold on to their cherished inventions. People see sickle and assume it represents judgement and dismiss any idea that it is Christ's Harvest!! How shallow, the sickle is a tool of Harvest! The sickle swing then is meant to demonstrate Speed!!( Codified by the blink of an eye ref. And the one taken, one left ref. ) Isn't God's Word Just So Amazing when we actually let it speak and don't make it do gymnastics to explain our erroneous holdings!
