I tried searching alternarives to NeoColor but didn't get too much info, so I decided to go for a set with many colors for a low price, until I can order neocolor's large set. Im unsire of what makes a "good" pastel soooo... lol. What are your thoughts in the ones below? My coloring life changed when I found out I could use alcohol blender on my watercolor pencils, inktense, and neocolor.. and not only does it work but it doesn't bleed or warp even thin paper. Its the main way I color now. It doesn't move the same as with water but honestly I think it's easier that way, you have to plan where your color is going to go, but you have so much more control and it's way easier to retain light colors and white highlights. You do go through a LOT of blender though, since you are essentially covering the entire page with it every time. I find the small tip tends to dry out quite a bit even if the pen is full, I think it just doesn't hold enough liquid to keep up. I have a couple of blenders and I store them fine tip down to let gravity load the alcohol to that side, and switch out between them as needed so they have a chance to "rest" and refill. You can also use the larger end as much as possible. I didn't know you could use just straight alcohol to refill, so thanks for that.. it will save me a lot of money on refill liquid.

I recently passed half a century and I wonder where the last 25 years went.! will be using this in all my creative haven books.! have recently subscribed and learnt stuff already thank you. Are the numbers you use for neocolours your own system? I have a old set I think I got it on ebay and the tin has the light blue/white motif with artists colours rather than the mountain on red tin.
The numbering system is mine. I have a video on My numbering system. I have swatch charts for free on my ko-fi shop if you are interested. I’m glad you are finding value.
yeah i know what you mean about your age, i will be 55 as well and it is crazy thinking about it all, and my kids all grown up and gone i have soon to be 8 grandkids, so yeah ,

If you watch my haul video from a day or two ago I show the blenders I use and that I use one per color family. This helps with the drying out aspect
P.s. Here in the UK, my favourite autumn tradition is Gy Fawkes night, with fireworks and bonfires.
