HELLO!!! im back from the dead. today i tried out gacha animator, very fun to experiment with thank u for watching :D also want to clarify that i dont mean this is easy from the title, whether this app is easy or not is up to you. its just much easier since 1 huge step of animating is done for you.

Kamexri if you go to where um I forgot but somewhere there is an body map and face map in gacha club it basically just takes apart the body parts for you if you go to character customization then you now where you go to hide your body parts? It is there.

As a beginner on animating, I have been struggling with these tutorials no matter how many times I watched them. I have been looking for an app like this! Though the creator deserves no hate, they were just trying to make a program/app that makes animating easier!

What people need to learn is that there is no "cheating" for this kinda stuff. A lot of the time the intense rigging and other manual, hard work that you do will pay off and is generally better. BUT there are beginners too that want to learn to animate and for that exists these! and reminder the CREATOR ALSO WORKED HARD TO BRING US THIS!

I'd recommend using this app to learn things like keyframes,movement and tweening so this app is still good.
I personally like the app, younger gacha kids will probably start animating because the process is easier, when they are ready to move on from the program they will have some experience! Heck if I had this when I was little I would have made so many animations and I would have loved it! I am taking animation classes right now and animating gacha in the programs I use is a fairly simple process.

Personally, I think it's a great way to start animating. A lot of people cant go straight into rigging themselves and this can at least give some practice and insight into animating first.

It's like complaining that we should continue manually bringing water in our homes just becasue back then it was like that and it took so long to bring the water and it was really hard.
My thoughts exactly. While it's undoubtedly worth learning and switching to actual animating programs that are more useful and versatile(and legal), that's a lot of work to start out with and can be pretty overwhelming for someone totally fresh to it.
That being said though, it's pretty gross that this app is making money off stolen content. The poll was even worded in a really manipulative way, which I'm sure influenced voting.
As an Apple iPad user, I decided to myself “hey it’s not that bad!” I got to the App Store and the reviews were 😅
i think it's a pretty good *starter* app. Like, for people who are just learning how to animate and try to get the jist of actually "animating" it. I would've loved to started animating with this. I personally started with Alight Motion(and still do). I kinda suck at it, but I hope to improve over time.

As an animator myself, I am fine with this existing! This is like the whole motion tweeting/puppet animation vs frame by frame animation argument all over again, lmao.

As an animator, I have no problem with this app, heck, I even support it. If you say it makes you lazier, then Gacha itself shouldn’t exist in the first place because you don’t have to draw it. Doesn’t that make you lazier as well? Gacha animations get waay more views than handmade animations, despite the fact that less effort is put into it. In my opinion, if you consider this app bad because it makes you lazier, then by your logic Gacha shouldn’t exist.
Edit: Just like to point out, when I say support, I mean support the general idea of the app. I'm aware it's illegal, which is why I'm not using it, I'm waiting for Luni's confirmation.
Edit 2: When I say “Gacha would be lazy too” I’m trying to put out a point that it makes things easier, like Gacha animator. The rules apply to both. So if Gacha animator is lazy, then Gacha would be too. Not saying Gacha is ACTUALLY lazy, just trying to make a point.

A lot of people think this app will be bad for the community due to everyone that has taken their time practicing tweening, they said that it’s technically not fair as people have practiced for so many years,months and so on for an app to make it all happen, personally I have nothing to say about the app as long as it makes people happy then I’m fine with it, but I just know a lot of people will rant

I think that gacha animator is a good thing for the gacha community. People outside our community already think we are lazy for using gacha from the start.
Like our animators are called "gacha animators" for goodness sake, gacha animators aren't considered animators at all! If gacha animator ends up helping people animate and create good content, then I don't believe it is a bad thing!
Let's take memes that people make and the add "lazy" somewhere, that doesn't take away from how good it is and how much people will like it!

Gacha animators are called Gacha animators because using Gacha makes it take less work than drawing and producing a bunch of your own frames with original artwork. This app will make us be viewed as even more lazy. But people who tween are looked on with more respect. Now that this app exists, however, people who tween will be looked on with less respect. People who dislike the community can use it to say “look, they are getting even more lazy now.” It’ll be harder to find actually good Gacha videos, which will make the community worse.

I’m already seeing people using the app get comments like “OMG YOUR SOOOOO UNDERATEDDDD” “OMG THIS IS SO COOL YOU MUST HAVE WORKED SO HARD ON IT” When everything is already set for the person who made it, I saw somebody complain it took them 3 hours to make a 12 second animation on the app, it took me 3 hours to make a 2 second animation NOT on the app. It’s just people being plain lazy yet getting so much attention than people who spend WEEKS making a single animation, yet the ones using the app get more attention.
I know! For a while because I’m an iOS user, I didn’t use gacha animator, that’s why when I saw really smooth live 2d like animations I’d think that wow they are so good but then I found out what the app really was-

I totally agree with you especially since some people cant even download the app so it's not fair that people who put less work and get a lot more attention than people who can't even use the app and have to put in hours of work to get less than half the attention of the people who use the app. and also on this app you can only animate gacha models but I like drawing my own characters more.
I know that feeling someone can also just post a video of them standing there and say it took two hours to record and tons of fans would be coming in

when I got my laptop for Christmas, this was one of the first apps I ever downloaded. (except for TH-cam,) and it helped me SO much on animating on alight motion or other editing apps!

I personally believe this app is good. Many people are complaining how it makes the community lazier, which I can see that, but what about those people who only use gacha to tell stories? If your editing doesn't include lip sync or tweening, you won't gain as many views. You could have a ground breaking story, but because you aren't the best editor, it stinks to be you. Also if people believe this is going to make people lazier, look at history. Before we had the internet, people would have to find information through books and memorization was super important, but in today's world we have access to answers to almost every question we can think of. Does this make us lazy? The older generations may think so, but we know better. Memorization isn't as important, but creativity and problem solving is more important than ever. That's how we keep gaining more technology quicker than we have ever done before. We are forced to think outside the box when people 30 years ago only had to memorize facts to succeed. I believe that's what this app will do. It'll allow us to make our videos higher quality, but we will have to be extra creative and problem solve how we can make our videos better than everyone else. This is because if everyone uses this app, all videos will be the same and views for everyone may go down, so to compete people will have to find new ways to improve it. So in contrary of what many people are saying, I believe this app will only challenge more people than people being challenged now.

People are talking about how bad they think gacha animator is, but even then, some people (including myself) cannot download it whatsoever unless using some dodgy tutorials. I however, think the app could be beneficial to the gacha community. Seeing as tweening is a massive struggle. People could really start making good gcmm’s and gcmv’s! Also the app is free! Meaning you don’t have to pay lots of money for a time consuming, difficult, website! And then, eventually things like pure gacha animation within the community will stand out more and people will get more of a following from it because oh wow! Look, that person is doing something different for a change!!
And yes, some people are saying that the app has no actual custom accessories and the characters are bland and boring. But after all the game is in beta testing! Eventually they might have a whole new set of items from gacha club and more.
So give the game a chance!! Please?
I've tried gacha animator before but I didn't really like it. I mean it's a good game but it does need some improvements.

EDIT!! (2 years later): yeah, I learned an alternative on alight. It’s incredibly easier to animate on alight motion.
It is easy but I have trouble with all the parts spinning around instead of just tilting
It's kinda easy for me, a bit confusing. I found a small trick to it so I'm all good
@@morningstar-je5wx I have a solution for that I think, when they spin instead of tilt all you need to do is play it little by little (on the part) and slowly adjust it to where you want it to be. That's what I do TwT sorry if it doesn't help

I personally, I quite like this app. I know some will be upset because they practiced tweening but for everyone (most people) we have a hard time tweening so this app will help.
I know it's an amazing starter app but once you are decent at it you should switch to something like Ccp or alight Motion e.c.t as they are much smoother and amazing! And there are loads of easy tutorials online

From my perspective, I support the general idea of the app. Sure, it takes away lots of the effort, but I think there should be some other way to make animating a bit easier. It takes much hard work to make one video of animation. Plus, more people might be encouraged to at least try animation if it gets a bit easier. There are probably so many people with amazing ideas, but can't express it because animation is just too hard. :/

I personally think that its good for starting animating, cause just hopping into a app like cute cup ( example) is hard. Ik this cause I learned that the hard way- but I do agree that it takes away the actual animating part that you talked about ( and agree with to be more pacific) but you do have a good point of copyright
OMG I GOTTA TRY THIS!
I just wanna note this as an animator in training. The "animation" gacha "animators" do isn't traditional animating, it's tweening, which is waaaay more easier than actual animating. When someone animates traditionally, they have to draw all the frames one by one, by hand, but when you tween in gacha, all you have to do is screenshot the charecter body map, remove the background, and rig. Even non-gacha tweeners have it harder (they have to draw), so, gacha "animating" is also kind of a "Cheat".
{Note: I am not trying to devalue gacha tweeners. I've never tweened in my life because of how hard it is. What I'm trying to say is making an actual animation is harder and more time-consuming than tweening. It takes hours, and I mean hours, to make a simple 30 second animation, especially if the art style is complex, but tweening also takes its time. Like Kamexri said, it's is painfully hard to rig, and I agree (As I'm also learning 3D animating [3D is another can of worms I won't be going into]). So, like I said, tweening is easier than animating, but it's still hard nonetheless.}

Gacha tweening is aniamtion. You see, animation is way to make someone or something look like their moving but it can be made in different ways. Plus Disney and Pixar use 3D tweening so saying tweening isn’t animation doesn’t make sense. Their are lots of different ways to animate
i do frame by frame by frame and tweening. you're completely correct. i dont know where along the lines tweening began to be as valued as frame by frame by some people, but it bugs me.
Hiya but tweening is still a form of animation. Both are pretty good but like Disney and stuff I’m pretty sure they don’t hand draw thing and they use something more similar to tweening. Tweening is technically just hand drawn except you don’t have to deal with making everything in between as smooth

Actually Gacha Animator, is not bad. Is good for the edits because you can make bases. But actually is sad the fact that you need to screenshot them.

People get 20K subs within less than a month by making 7 second videos, meanwhile there’s people with 5K who have extremely underrated glmms and such. It angers me so much.

I've never tried doing gacha editing. I used to think that good, and I was probably easy so why do they say it takes like hours? And now I'm trying Animating and OMG IT TAKES SOOO LONG so great job animating your stuff!!
