Feel like what they could definitely do in a future update is give us the third person option in safe zones, similar to destiny 2 in the hub worlds. I totally get the immersion they were going for in first person but id love to see your navi change into third person when you enter into villages or captured outposts etc. Be cool to see your armor while you craft and interact with npcs.

The way they did it honestly is perfect: build like far cry (first person) and somewhat ghost recon breakpoint minus the toggle between fpv and 3pv but I like to watch the banshee do it’s thing lol

And rdr2 and gta5 has a first person opinion but I still always use third person mode for them. I do not understand why players dont just have faith in the developers to make the right decision. Its the exact same reason why CDPR went with only 1st person in Cyberpunk 2077. Pandora and Night City are alive and bustling new worlds. Do you want to watch a character on the screen interacting with these worlds?........or do you wanna experience these worlds for your self? Of course 1st person was the default decision........as it's the right one for both games.

1st person perspective offers a heightened level of immersion, while 3rd person perspective games allow for a broader view and more environmental interaction. Without any doubt, this game is an environment-oriented game. That's exactly why this game should have been full TPS.. (or at least allow the player to choose !). This is also the reason why Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption and many other games where environment is absolutely more important than "immersion" are NOT 1st person games. This is not an opinion. This is all about logic.
I played all of rdr2 in first person and it was absolutely amazing and super immersive. Im so hyped for this game and honestly more offended there isnt a first person for flying and horseback.
I think they did that because it’s too easy to get sick and it might be awful to do barrel rolls in first person. I do hope they add it in later though.
I'm sorry, but this game should've been 3rd person. Just picture Horizon forbidden west. Say what you want about the plot of that game, but the graphics are beautiful. Imagine that, but with 10ft tall, ripped humanoids, with beautiful hair, and badass skins. It would've been so cool seeing the height difference when fighting the humans. They also could've added badass finishers like we see in the movies. The fighting mechanics of that game match perfectly with what I think an Avatar game fighting mechanics would be like. Missed opportunity to create a masterpiece by ubisoft imo 😪

Well they made the game so they can do whatever they want because they are trying to make you have an experience they created. You could end up loving the first person because of how immersive it will be and the combat. Plus the mounts being third person is great to me

I love first person, I always opt into first person when I see it but I do agree there should be a third person toggle as people have their preference and should be able to choose but I can understand why they chose to go first person as I do feel like it is more immersive in games, hopefully they do work on the game and release it as an update later.
I also feel that it’s their story we are experiencing; hence no choices or alternative ending which I am perfectly fine with. If I want a choice based game, I’ll play BG3 but I want to experience this story they crafted

If they weren't re-using assets and animations from their previous games they could have given the players the option to choose, making a third person mod will be impossible without a model to show. The game being only in first person is a reason for a lot of people to not buy it

Yeah but we know why they chose FP. So they can reuse assets and mechanics from Farcry. Its hilariously obvious. Yes FP helps with emmersion. But thats not the only reason. This is ubisoft and theres always a catch. Lol TP would have helped separate it from farcry more and feel better for me. FPV is far too over used and overrated. I dont buy their reasoning. Im still excited and pre ordered the collectors edition. But im not falling for their "logic". 😂 I also will never understand why they let us create our character and yet we cant view it the majority of the game. They might as well just make us play as a default male or female with no customization if they care about "emmersion" so much. It would have been cool if the game was basically Horizon Zero Pandora. But I‘ll be happy with First Person as long as the game is good.
I think the first person will grow on a lot of people it will be so much more immersive and the combat looks really good for first person imo.

There is a model to show. If you look down you can see your legs in game. Mods will be like Cyberpunks third person.
