Oh thank gawd a gloves for photography review that includes a camera being used! AND a REAL dexterity test. Excellent review, as usual. Thanks. Just ordered the gloves.
Two feet of snow and -8 [-50 with wind chill] at my new home in Maine. Ancient humans migrated with the animals; Why does modern man stay where it's deadly cold?
Good start to the year guys! I always look forward to your reviews! Cool to see what other products are out there, something that's practical and not suited only for photography. I can't think of anything super exciting for you to review right now.. Maybe you could do videos on the side to "the camera store" and do some instructional videos?
Great timing on the review. I've been scouting these recently after a mention in the last PhotoNews mag. Glad to know you carry them! It's -31C here in Ontario today!
I work outside daily and have always enjoyed shooting outdoors during the winter here in Michigan. I appreciate you making a video like this and sharing this product. I just shared it on my facebook page for my photography friends. A pair of these are on my things to buy list now. Well after I replace all my gear lol
@@TheCameraStoreTV Are skiing gloves a good choice for general use in the city during winter or they are supossed to be used only for outdoor winter sports?
Surprised there wasn't a link to the product in the description, but I found them. Might have to go down to Calgary to visit a few friends and of course the store sometime as there aren't that many reasonable camera shops here in your northern neighbour city (aka Edmonton) ^_^
What is all the white stuff falling from the sky? Living here in So Cal I will probably never use these but I love the videos and if I am ever that far north in the winter these are the gloves I'm getting.
Nice mittens... I suppose very good when the conditions get tough. But personally I have been using just regular no-brand leather gloves (with some winterly insulation) for many many years without problems.
I have something very similar, also with quality materials, but a less refined design (no zippers for the flip-up part), so when closed, they still let the heat out too much for the really low temperatures. I'll be looking for these, thanks :) (Alte, Norway, we get the cold too :) )
I'm going to get these. I live in Norway, and the manufacturers own website sells these, and it's free shipping within Europe :D thanks for the tip, they look great, I am definitely looking forward to test them out.
Great review, A very Happy new year to you Chris and team. I have a request, can you you do a teleconverter review. Saw you rate the nikon 80-400 would say that was a better option than say a 2-300mm lens with a tele? Thanks! UK viewer jealous of your snow.
Can you do a review of the Vallerret Photography glove model: Ipsoot? It seems comparable to these but even more dexterity with open index fingers. I just dont know if they are warm enough. Thank you!
In my opinion you guys are few of the unbiased reviewers left out there who do not afraid to mention fails of either company. I post your top reviews on my FB page (alexander turovsky). I was especially impressed when you mentioned in your Canon 7D Mark II when that the cheapest Nikon DSLR, the Nikon D3300, has a better image quality. No other site even thought to test this scenario or tested and was afraid to say it and were afraid to piss of Canon. Keep posting your awesome reviews LIKE A BOSS.
Ha! After seeing these worn during a recent Samsung camera review I put the bug in Lovey's ear and received a pair Christmas morning. Thanks for the review...these mitts seem like an opulent purchase but as someone who is shooting stuff outside, during frosty temps I'm tired of dropping or juggling mitts or liners. Typical of Camera Store fair pricing, you'll pay comparably, (local purchase) as confirmed when price checking a UK source.
There is one thing that is -21C but how about the wind chill? What is it over there?(at time of recording ofcourse, or close) cause here in Toronto it was -21C with like -30C windchill or something lol
Looking to visit your store and get these gloves next saturday (13th Oct - visiting a friend there), do you have Heat Polartec Liner - size 9 and Heat 3 Layer System Shell-Smart size 9 at the store?
LoL so I need a winter condition to wear thats glove! Nice review, can you make nikon d750 or canon 7d mk2 durability test? Like burried them on the snow *sorry about my english
visualdarkness Regular in Kiruna possibly. Central Sweden had 3 weeks of winter last year, have been 7 days of colder than -10C so far. As for these gloves..great review, I'm surely getting a pair. No fun having finger/s turn partially white and numb and taking 20minutes to thaw.
It's not that bad... -10 or -5 often feel a lot colder than -20, because there is more moisture in the air. At -20 or even lower, however, the air is often bone dry, which is easier to handle.
Hot DAMN those are expensive! But I can see how they could be a very justified purpose. Still, the sticker shock hurts. Very funny how the shot at the end is a little shaky because of Jordan's cold hands! I felt really bad for him.
I own these gloves for 3 years now!!! These gloves are the best bar none!! You didn't even mention the silver lining on the index and thumb! You can operate any touchsreen because of the silver lining. When you put the gloves in mittens mode, it takes a few seconds to get your hands toasty!! They are very light too, they make me think of Kanuk winter jacket but in gloves version.
Jordan is wearing a non-insulated leather coat and moderate temp gloves. Chris has a really heavy tight wool coat and gloves with mittens. Why does Jordan need to monitor the camera when Chris is sitting narrating and the camera is on a tripod?
The most expensive gloves by far, that I have ever bought for winter photography, in the Canadian winter. The mitts are as advertised, very warm. But that's not the point, you cant use your camera with mitts. Once you unzip the opening and stick you fingers out, the liner just does not make the grade. The liner is just not warm enough for the Canadian winter. Also, the tips are stubby, not pointy, so it is difficult to operate the camera controls ("fat fingers"). Since I spent all that money (AND $85 CAD customs duty!) I'm going to cut off the tips of the liners, get a warmer pair of liners on my hands, and stick my fingers through the holes. Hope that works to salvage the situation, or I'll have lost a lot of money on a good pair of mitts that I can t do photography with.
glennaa11 Some jeans come with an inner liner of flannel that has a very good insulation factor. I wear them a lot, as long as their is not much wind. Unless you want Chris to look like the kid in the Christmas story.
Didn't expect to see gloves review on this channel Just noticed, Chris has Black hair, red beard - just as i have :D P.S. Why don't he wear hat? He can catch a flu
As much as I enjoyed your reviews I have noticed that the pace and the vocabulary of talking is not of a reviewer but a shopkeeper with a hustlers skill, very much like selling goods. please look at your videos from this point of view.

I know right? Best review for winter photography gloves I've ever seen.
Wow, not only can Chris review cameras well but gloves too! I might have to pick up a pair. It was -2 degrees F the other day.
Its -7 F where I am right now haha
The great Dave Dugdale!!!!!!

You should adapt these for the Nebula :D
sjs , ancient humans migrated with the animals because they went were the food and clothing went. :D
Good start to the year guys!

Don't buy this gloves, the low light performance is average and the auto-focus is one of the worst.
***** Sure ;)
Oh don't be ridiculous, I am sure the next firmware update will fix those issues!
Magic Lantern will fix everything.
Chris, your hands are nice and warm, but how much heat are you losing through your head?

Really enjoyed to see it again.
Hey guys it would be awesome if you could do more videos on videography gear and methods and tips and stuff
I'm working on a truly epic Sony FS7 review right now! I'd love to do more video tutorials in 2015 as well.

Wow delivery good too! 4 days from order to delivery in UK.
These gloves are awesome - they saved my fingers on a -36C shoot. Pity nothing else wanted to work that day.
are you guys going to review more lenses this year? it would be great

I can't believe I just watched a six minute video about gloves, we don't even have winter where I live...
Nice! I was about to ask you this question as well! Great that you made this video

Great video as always! Any chance of reviewing the fujifilm 40-150 2.8?
how about some cooling gloves for us in the southern hemisphere? It was 44"C today here in Australia.....
I like his wool coat, wonder where I could get one....
That was Canadian as hell. "In order to truly test these gloves, we need to make sure they can tie a fly!"
Can you do a review of the Vallerret Photography glove model: Ipsoot? It seems comparable to these but even more dexterity with open index fingers. I just dont know if they are warm enough. Thank you!
It's not as cold here but on colder days out sat watching wild life these sound great. Ordered. Added recommendation from camera store on web site.
TheCameraStoreTV - is there a cooler version? It was over 40C here in this damn desert last week....
How cold was it there when you filmed this video?
Hey Chris/Jardon. How do you determine the right size to order? Do they run big or small?
In my opinion you guys are few of the unbiased reviewers left out there who do not afraid to mention fails of either company. I post your top reviews on my FB page (alexander turovsky).

Finally
Time for 4K boys !!!

Hope you love yours as much as I love mine! Used them on tonight's shoot.

What's with the purple tint? Or is it just my monitor being off for some reason?
I live in Southern California and I need one of these for when it gets below 70 degrees F. :)
There is one thing that is -21C but how about the wind chill? What is it over there?(at time of recording ofcourse, or close) cause here in Toronto it was -21C with like -30C windchill or something lol
PLEASE, review the new nikkor 300mm f/4!!! Best thnx, im looking forward to it...
Heat 3 glove photo contest giveaway! We need them here in Boston Massachusetts!
Looking to visit your store and get these gloves next saturday (13th Oct - visiting a friend there), do you have Heat Polartec Liner - size 9 and Heat 3 Layer System Shell-Smart size 9 at the store?
These seem like the perfect gloves
I would love these but I would want the zip to open the other way
what is that funky riff at the intro
Geez, Chris doesn't look cold at all and poor Jordan looks like he might freeze solid.
My comment about gloves made it to your video :D Thx guys... again very handy review :)
LoL so I need a winter condition to wear thats glove!
Nice review, can you make nikon d750 or canon 7d mk2 durability test? Like burried them on the snow *sorry about my english
I really could do with a pair of these, anywhere in the UK that sell them?
Can you guys do a sparring match between chris and jordan and throw in a focus test comparison too!
get Jordan one of that gloves already! :)
looks like there is absolutely no grip for index finger. is that silver lining slippery? for sniper use..
Great to see some snow,I`m sweating my arse today in Oz.
Me too Phil. Hot day here in Coffs Harbour
-20c ???!!! holy crap!!
Ok, what's the best Monopod for all conditions?
That's a regular winters day also here in Sweden. We had almost -40C when I lived up north and you still went outside like usual.

It's a regular weather for Russia too, we have constantly -20 /-25, but often -30/-35 :D

Chris, you look even better (as always) with the snow around, just saying :-)
I need these down in Florida today...it's like 55 deg F....that's about 14C for all you Canucks lol..
Chris is that GM1 yours ?
Đorđe Gajanin Yah it is! Silver edition, only downside is it's Japanese so the video is only in PAL...Chris @ TCS TV
How do you feel about no viewfinder ?
nice thanks for the review
Lol, doing the dubbing on the thread with gloves :D
I cracked up when you put the comments! lol
I don't think I've ever seen a more Canadian video

Great review! :)
Virtually the same glove in realtree camo, Cabellas $35.
Does anyone have the notes for the intro theme?
It's the intro to the song 'The Legend' by my old band Platinum Alibi. Available on iTunes!
Jordan @ TCSTV
Thanks! Going to check it out!
The thumbnail makes Chris look like Ironman O_O
Chris channeling his inner Wim Hof.
200$ and they are not heated??
it looks like these gloves are protecting his ears too
Hi Respectable sir,
Nice gloves
Now, how about socks?

But can you roll a blunt with them?
Way cool, was wondering about those. You'd certainly really hate life if you lost one though.
Very nice :)
amaaaaazzzinggggg
Put on a hat!!!!!
I was gonna say that. -20 and no hat. And jeans in the snow!
glennaa11 Some jeans come with an inner liner of flannel that has a very good insulation factor. I wear them a lot, as long as their is not much wind.
Unless you want Chris to look like the kid in the Christmas story.
Absolutely. In cold weather you lose a lot of heat through your head if it is exposed.
George Morley Oh, Mom, would you STOP already? Sheesh; I'm 32 years old for Christ's sake.
sjs Well I'm 36 and Mum knows best! LOL
You mean Canadian gloves? :P
Great looking gloves but they cost too much for me at about $200.
I would totally throw a battery in there!
can i have yr gloves i love it
Bet you can't roll a cigarette with them on.
$200 CAN but then you need to add another $162 for shipping. :/
never realised that chris has a ginger beard
How bout socks man
poor jordan
Didn't expect to see gloves review on this channel
Just noticed, Chris has Black hair, red beard - just as i have :D
P.S. Why don't he wear hat? He can catch a flu
-20C, wow...here in Jakarta i'm sweating all day
damn, in north germany there is still no winter, no snow. And it wont come i guess. This is first time i see that. Global warming coming?
I'm leaving my boyfriend for Chris he's too smooth, (my boyfriend gives me full permission)

oh, I think I will go outside, while it's snowing, to use my laptop. #justcanadianthings
i have Heat 3 Condoms... SOOOO GOOOOD
Come on, dude, wear your hat! You can get so much painful shity illnesses not wearing one in -20C, believe me.
no hat, fail
you are actually really cute. haha. So are you married?
