I enjoyed this! Ill be looking into some of your other videos, the griffith one has caught my eye already! Personally i would have preferred this be a little longer and highlight specific instances in the film, and maybe touch on how it impacts the story building and character development within the art. Either way though, this has convinced me i need to watch this movie, thank you!
Thanks! I will make longer videos when I can count on higher views tbh. If you like Berserk I recommend the videos on Griffith’s love and on homoeroticism in Berserk :)
This is a really well put together video, you explain your analysis concisely. Im not a smart person by any means and yet I was still able to understand the points you made! Amazing work
I haven't seen this movie ever since i was 8 years old, maybe 10. But one thing that really disturbed me, was the girl. And i dont know why. Maybe it's time to watch this movie again.
Never saw Metropolis but I was a huge fan of the writers work as he made Akira My local cinema is actually doing a late night screening tonight and I might go into it blind!
This move is 90% vibes and cool imagery and drama with the fascism / capitalism being just a few lines here and there. A quarter of the movie is magic girl Tima and Keichi being chased by Rock. What I’m saying is, this is not a political drama, and you’re reading way too much into this.
I strongly disagree, and I'm actually surprised at your interpretation. I was amazed at how thoroughly political the movie is in every frame, and I felt like this video only scratched the surface. Although yes, there are also cool vibes that can be appreciated separately; which is part of what makes it such a special movie.
How have I never heard of this movie? This looks absolutely amazing.
You should check it out! I haven’t really scratched the surface of its highly personal main storyline
@@ChumpyGames Take a look into the video " the temporal message of metropolis" its rlly good at dissecting it.

Why does this relate to what’s happening right now?
You know, the rise of Right-Wing Populists?
Will definitely have to check this anime out. Great job breaking it down.
Thanks! Hope you like it!
As an anarchist, I really appreciate this video.
You can’t comprehend socialist community ran governments like fascism
