You go girl, your always coming up with something good and special. Looked delicious. Sorry I have been missing for over a week. My mother fell and broke her right hip and Femur . Busted back of her head open. She is 80. She has been in hospital over a week. Blood pressure kept bottoming out. She was passing out , getting dizzy, going into a hot then cold clammy sweat. She finally was able enough to go to inpatient rehab. And hopefully will progress to coming home. Prayers needed. we love y'all . God bless. Hugs & prayers for y'all . 👍🏻🤗👍🏻
Leslie, I'm sorry I'm late watching. Been down with a stomach bug ☹️ I just have to say- Honey you are very generous! You take the time out of your busy farm life to video your lives to share with us! That's being very generous! Not only do you show how to cook certain things, you share your family with us! We love it all, that's why you're getting close to 100,00 of us! Just think how many people that means you're blessing! Also how many have you & Bryant brought to the LORD? Praise GOD for y'all !! Sorry I got long winded, but I just want you to realize how much y'all mean to Soooo many of us! Blessings on your Precious Family 🙏🙏🙏🌹🙏🙏🙏🙏💜💙 Love 💜 from Apex ❤️
When I was pregnant with my son, I made quilt squares intending to make him a quilt. Fast forward 34 years, the quilt squares are still in a bag. Forgot I didn't know how to quilt. LOL! Best intentions. Funny add on. When our house burned down, we lost almost everything but the bag of quilt squares survived! Lovely quilt that lady made for you.
Sweet Leslie, don't second guess yourself. You are so very generous with sharing your time and talents. I think that blessing others with just the right thing is a gift. I truly wish I had that gift. I would give the shirt off of my back to someone, I just can never seem to think of the right gift to bless someone with. God uses us all in different ways. This is how He uses those ladies in their lives. You are a Blessing to me and others, Dear Friend! 🥰
Ms Leslie your generosity is sharing you're videos of cooking, family, etc. You also share dishes/casseroles with family & church events. You are a busy woman & the down time you have is devoted to family & replenish. I'm quite positive that when a gift is given out of love of friendship there is no need to reciprocate other than a kind thank you card (to let the presenter know it was received). Enjoy the bounty of friendships, we are far apart yet feel closer in our hearts : ) Good Thoughts & Best Wishes To Ms Leslie & Pastor Bryan & Family
The food looked good ! The t-shirt cracked me up ! You are the most genuine sweet person I know on TH-cam! Thank you for sharing your life with us ! Prayers to all hope you are having a blessed Sunday!
My parents used to grow that kind of squash. I haven't had it since I was a child and I can't remember how my mom fixed it but yours looks delicious with that stuffing. What sweet and thoughtful gifts you received.
Delicious fried, using buttermilk, dipped in flour. Also steamed , seasoned with salt, pepper, butter and little bit of Thickning. My favorite squash to eat as side! Fried yellow straight, zucchini cake, and bread.
We call them scollopini here in New Zealand. But we harvest them when they are smaller (about 2 inches in size). They are yummy thinly sliced and added to stir fry veggies or quartered, fried with butter and garlic. Add to a roast veggie medley of potato, sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin, garlic and beet that are all diced with olive oil and served with crumbled feta on top. Next level yum.
You share so much with your viewers! Your videos make people happy. I love the recipe! It looks amazing. The quilt was beautiful. You have such a lovely family! Your son is such a nice combination of you and Bryant.
Pattypan squash is my ultimate favorite I was raised on it and usually Southern Cooks fry Patty pan squash with the crookneck and the zucchini they roll it in cornmeal and flour and season it real heavy and it is absolutely wonderful you also can stuff it with cornbread stuffing adding
Awesome video, Ms Leslie! My beloved grandmother would give me these. That was so long ago, as she went to be with Jesus in 2000. I remember breading and frying them, and they were so good. This recipe looks amazing!! Thank you for sharing this, it looks so delicious! I think it’s safe to say that Isaac and Pastor Bryant liked it lol What lovely gifts, so sweet! I love you guys, God bless you all 🤗❤️🙏🏼
I want to ask you and Bryant to please pray for my home state of Kentucky. So much of the south east portions are flooded. My own hometown is pretty bad. Thanks so much
I haven't seen patty pan squash in a long time! My mother use to slice it and fry it like she did yellow squash. I loved it. Thanks for that sweet memory. I miss my mom.
Love the tractor. You could put fall flowers (not real) out the end of the tractor. Also I love, love the quilt. You can get a curtain rod and buy metal clips, Amazon has them. Just clip the quilt to the rod. Love you all
Leslie that is a beautiful quilt and very thoughtful of the person that sent it..the other gifts were nice as well..that syrup from silver dollar city is good and not really that far from where we live..i have been there alot starting when i was young..it used to be a cool place to vacation but has become too commercialized...it was even featured on the Beverly Hillbillies...i have great memories of it tho...i loved the tshirt for Bryant and hope to see him wear it...you are the cutest couple and i appreciate everything you put on video for us.. i have never had that kind of squash but it looks interesting...😘🙏❤🇺🇸
I wish I could find some patty pan squash. My grandmother created a squash cake recipe years ago. It is my all time favorite cake. Problem is I can never find it in the stores or markets. I wish I could find a couple bushels to make up and freeze it for cakes year round.
Nice to see others thoughtfulness and so glad you shared the gifts! Beautiful quilt ! Love the truck and the shirt for Bryant is too funny ! Lol cute! Thanks Leslie!
I love patty pan squash. My favorite way to cook it is to slice in thinly, dip it in egg and then breadcrumbs and fry it like you would a fried green tomato! So good! I am really enjoying your vlogs!
Love that beautiful quilt. I’ve seen people sew a rod pocket on the back and then use a curtain rod to display quilts. That was so sweet. Bryant’s tshirt was hilarious. The squash looked delicious but not a big fan of any squash but zucchini and the little yellow squash. You did a good job on making it tasty.
I never knew what to do with patty pan squash but that is what I do with zucchini . Love the gifts you shared . The shirt hilarious and the quilt is beautiful .
I think you are very generous with your time in making the videos for us that don't or can't get out much. I appreciate and enjoy watching your videos and you sharing with us. Always can't wait for the next one. Until then...❤
Love pattypan and grow it there is so many ways to cook it slice thin olive oil parmesan cheese salt pepper herbs and bake is good also they produce like crazy in well watered rich compost soil ♥️♥️♥️
We have a community garden in the town where I work. They like people to help themselves to some of the extra produce. That's where we tried the patty pan . They also had trumpet squash, which doesn't have seeds in the part you eat. If you eat it when fresh you eat the skin and it is low carb like zucchini. If you store it, it becomes more like a fall squash and skin gets harder, and flesh get meatier. Another farmer grew "mashed potatoes squash" he had alot I'd never seen before. Spice, tomatoes and sausage always makes everything good
My beloved mother used to make the smaller green patty pan squash sliced with "hinge" left then fill them with Monterey jack cheese then dip in beaten eggs and fried. Once that was done, she would slide them into a pan with something like crushed tomato sauce. It was one of my favorite summer meal. I live in Arizona and sadly have never been able to find these squash. 🌻🐕
We take the baby ones and grill with onions beef tips tomatoes and bell peppers. My favorite way is to cut them up top to bottom leaving the seeds. Bread like yellow squash and fry with onions. Yumm
Isaac is so tall…he’s wonderful! I’ve been buying the SugarFree syrup sine you first introduced it! Love it. Now I’ll have to find the other one, can’t make out the name tho…I’ll check your notes
Sweet Leslie, you are incredibly generous. You share your precious time & cooking with us, that is priceless. I think I might try that patty pan squash too. Last night I made you green chicken enchiladas & they were amazing. I used the low carb tortillas & they tasted great. Had enough for leftovers & put 3 in the freezer for a quick lunch or supper. Love your quilt! It’s so adorable, and that tractor!!!! Oh what fun to decorate it for each holiday or season. Ok, love ya sweet lady. See ya soon. 😊💕💕💕🙏
I cooked my first Patty Pan squash this week! It sat on the counter for a month so I thought the skin was too thick after I cooked it. Didn't know what to do with it. So I scrubbed it on the outside and sliced it in pieces, took out the seeds and then sliced it up small for pan frying. I sauteed it with peppers and onions to have with breakfast. So the second time I cut the skin off the little pieces of squash before frying with onions this morning.. I had scrambled eggs with cheese and a sliced of homemade rye bread toasted with butter. It kept me full for 5 hours! Eating veggies with breakfast is a great diet help.
Great gifts! People are so kind, gives me hope. Love that quilt! Use it sis & enjoy it. Recipe looks good, that's my favorite dip with fried low carb tortillas as chips AMAZING!! Love that shirt!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hugs!
Leslie, the patty pan squash is interesting and unique; I have never seen it before, it helped to watch father and son eat and give their respective opinions on the vegetables. Thank you. Kindness displayed by others never goes out of style, God's children are called to a higher standard. God bless you and the pastor and your children and your grandchildren.
The patty pan squash made me think of my mother. She used to grow those when I was a child. I didn't care for the flavor, but tastes change so I might like it now. The quilt is beautiful.
I love them and I grow them because they are cute. I use them like you would yellow squash or zucchini. I made a squash casserole last night and sometimes I use them in a stir fry they are best on the smaller side, once the width is more than 4.5 inches the seeds get bigger. Easy to grow! Low carb!
I love quilting, when I live in NC alot of women would get together,so much fun,yes you share, you are sharing your beautiful life,I feel so honored, that you do,I would love to send you something,I'll look for your pi box😁😁😁🌟🌟🌟✨
I didn't know what that squash was called!!! My Mother in law grew them and they were my husband's favorite. He liked them sliced and dipped in a thin batter and fried crisp. They have a good flavor.
Blessings I tried patty pan last year. Very mild. I never tried before I found out you can eat skin . I didn't see where recipe was, but did you put cream cheese in it ? I went back a few times to see if I missed the ingredient! Lol. But you said a dip...so must be cheese of some sort. Such a fun shape God made! Who could come up with the patty pan shape!! Only our creator🤗
I used that same fabric panel to make a wall hanging for a fund raising auction. It is a great panel for the farm women out there.
