For level of food you can drill a hole on top of the bucket and put a rod with a old butter container lid attatched threw it, it would rest on top of the feed and would lower as the feed gets eaten. You would however have to lift it back up once you refill the bucket.

Good idea on the slick-coated dropping board.. Now I know what to do
with those unwanted shelf boards that I see people throwing out, which
look great, just didn't think of what to use it for so I didn't pick
    them up.

Hi, thanks for sharing your work here--nice job! I have read that (lay) hens sleep flat footed so lot's of folks make roosting bars with 2 by 2, or 2 by 4's with the wider side up. Hens keep their feet warmer that way:) Great video, very appreciated.

you should cut the side of the buckets, like a slit, and locktite a long piece of plexiglass on to it. like super thin. Think like the side of a quart of Oil. Its round, but if its slim enough, might work.

Very nice and neat coop. One pointer though, the diagonal on the door should go across the other way for rigidity. Yours goes from the hinge side of the top of the door. It should rather go towards the hinge side from the top of the door. Tricky for me to try and explain

Covered run is allowed then. Once they had to stay inside fron half nobember up untill somewhere in april. No fun for chickens used to free ranging. Now I want to build me a bigger coop and run in which I can incluse anti boredom measurements, just in case 😉
