    This explanation shows how the pysics and metaphysics are meeting each other. It's really brilliant explanation for those who practice taiji for regular.

    Triangle theory makes sense. Main theory in hsing i. Doesn't Taichi support more angles than that, because it's based off the figure 8 which is more rounder and angular than a triangle?

      it has 8 different upper body directions but each of these is based on peng energy, ward off energy, which is a place between double light (too soft so you collapse from external pressure) and double heavy (when external pressure is released you lose balance because you are leaning on the incoming force and it is supporting your weight to some degree), to maintain your condition regardless of incoming force is peng energy, this is achieved by yin yang separation which is relative to the point of contact of incoming force.
