omg Sepultura. When i first saw them live they were opener for slayer. No one knew how far they will come. Just a few years later they have been the main act at Dynamo Open air in the Netherlands

@@jorozco13yearsago40, eh, even then, the stuff on Chaos AD, Arise, and Roots isn't terribly difficult. I could play all of the Sepultura songs I wanted with a year or so of seriously playing guitar.

The song has aged very well. At the time all of us who had been Sepultura fans going back pretty deeply were a bit taken back by how much the bandi had slowed down on this album but the brilliant grooves and the emphasis on the percussion elements interacting with the guitars was pretty hard to resist or refuse. They would take this to an even further extreme on the next record 'Roots." Anyway as usual your reactions are always so energetic and feel as though they come from this wonderful place of honest discovery. I absolutely love that you guys have never fronted like you are long-term metal fans, you've always been straight up about how all this stuff is very new to you. I think it's going to be very interesting to hear what your newer material it's going to sound like with all of this diverse music that you've been exposed to now. Keep up the great work you guys are awesome. M.
I saw this video when it was the mundial premier in 90s decade.
I remember my utter disappointment when Chaos AD was released back in 1993.. This was the first song I heard from the album, and I remember thinking.. Surely this can't be the same band that recorded "Beneath The Remains" and "Arise" it's like they completely disregarded their Thrash metal sound with this album.. But now at 45 years old I can actually appreciate this album a lot more.
Funny, I don't remember feeling that way back in '93, but I think you're right. Now? This is my favorite CD in their entire discography!
This is how i discovered Sepultura & then went back to their older stuff.loved it all. Been one of my favorites all life
I like the album, but it marks the beginning of the end for old Sepultura. "Roots" was the worst one. With Derrik they arose! "Against" and "Nation" are better than "Chaos A.D.", but nothing comes closer to "Arise".
That's exactly how I felt with "Roots"... **sigh** but yeah, definitely Beneath the Remains & Arise are THE Sepultura albums. 🤘🤘

Max listening to a lot of Fudge Tunnel was the best thing that ever happened.
Damn, this album, what an intense crushing behemoth it was, and remains to this day.
I couldn't get on with Sepultura after Max left. It just didn't quite gell for me. Still in my top five of favourite Metal Bands.
Thanks for doing so much of their earlier catalogue lately, some of the finest music ever written. 🤘🤘
