I've always wanted a van from watching your videos through out the years and when I received my settlement I chose to buy a house pay it off in full and buy a pre-owned sprinter van already built out and upgraded it with things of my own liking paid it also off in full without the new car payment. Hell yeah, Chrome. 170 is the *perfect* size. My 170 4x4 has seen so many jeep trails on Vancouver Island and elsewhere, I promise you you’re gonna love that thing, even off-road. Forget Agile Off-road, go Van Compass 100%. 6.3 Kit + their new struts. It’s a game changer.
Congrats! One of the hardest things for us when building out our van was the lack of transparency about the cost of the build. When people ask for this don’t take offense to it. Many of us use TH-cam as a learning tool and inspiration. You have a garage and access to tools…just remind people because building out a van is NOT for the weak. 😅😅😅😅

Might be valid for a Chevrolet or other US cars, but this German quality motor is of a different class. Even normal Skoda cars only need a change every 20.000 kilometres.
now the challenge is to keep the build light. Don't lift it before you build it out so you know the weight. Think about not doing big wheels and tires. You don't need them. Unless you are thinking off road crazy but I don't think that is your plan. Keep it light and stock wheels and tires and you will keep getting 19 to 20 MPG or better. Big wheels , racks, suspension raise and all you will be down in the 13-14 MPG quickly
He's been wanting the chunky tires, and it seems he's after a particular "look". It's his home but also part of his brand/company. So, driving this tricked out is advertising for him and brand partners. IMHO

Hey Chrome, you might want to consider doing the very first oil change sooner than the manufacturer recommends because with a new engine the internal components are wearing in and may shed tiny metal particles more than a broken-in engine. An early oil change will help to remove these metal contaminants. Congratulations on the new van👏🏻

You're crazy to follow the 30K KMs oil changes!! Change the oil after 1000 km to remove break in oils and metal fragments from the break in process.
