Sir, My question related to lecturette , When I started speaking I found ideas are coming very fast but I cannot speak so I start fumbling when I analyse it was about 180 words per minute or more. 1)What should one do to stop this type of fumbling? Improve the power of expression 2)When you know 1 topic it's easy, How to select when you know all four topics. I took more than a minute to select a topic. 3)How to structure the topic. What, why or the Best way to put the thing in order, knowledge is not a problem for most people, expressing is problem 4)Can we use a hand gesture, jokes, quote or anything like 5) What is the purpose of lecturette? What GTO want to know about us Thanks, sir, Hope you will cover in the next video.
Dear Ravi, Thank you for writing to RelianceGCS. This is happening because you are taking a lot of undue stress plus your verbal expression may not be up to the desired level. You need to be calm and relaxed while delivering your talk else your will fumble/stammer or try to finish it soon. The key is to be calm. 1)What should one do to stop this type of fumbling? Improve the power of expression 2)When you know 1 topic it's easy, How to select when you know all four topics. I took more than a minute to select a topic. Improving your verbal and written expression is very important and this will help you in all the three techniques, not just the GTO. Unless your verbal and written expression coupled with your general knowledge and awareness is good enough you will come under stress and your confidence will be shaky. Therefore, you need to practice extempore speaking and also writing. Choose a topic with which you are comfortable with. It doesn’t matter which one you choose as long as you can develop it and speak well with logical content. 3)How to structure the topic. What, why or the Best way to put the thing in order 4)Can we use a hand gesture, jokes, quote or anything like There is no set pattern of structuring your talk. Usually, one goes around defining the topic and then elaborating it in detail followed by a short conclusion or summary of your talk. It is advised that you avoid gestures, jokes etc. Quotes can be included and if relevant must be included to strengthen and support your topic. 5) What is the purpose of lecturette? What GTO want to know about us Thanks, sir, Hope you will cover in the next video. You should not worry about the purpose of the tasks or interview or psychological tests. Your endeavour should be to reveal your personality to the assessors honestly and truthfully with confidence. The assessors are hard trained to understand your personality and decide your suitability. If you try to understand what is being assessed you won't be able to perform. That is the reason why most people don’t clear the SSBs because they are focussing their energy on understanding what is being looked at and finding quick solutions. If you work on your soft skills, physical strengthening, update your general knowledge and awareness you will make the grade in all probability. Regards, Team RGCS
Complete your point first. According to me this is also observed by the GTO. But if the other person is misbehaving, request and ask him politely to let you complete your point first.
Sir while GD and GPE and PGT every body tend to eigther start the discussion or summing up the discussion does these two acts make look a person as some leader or does it leave some good or bad impression on GTO.. or just putting our views genuinely and listening others thoroughly in between the task is the best way to participation..
In one of my group discussion which was on cyber security and a debate went to firewall. So the other guy said the VV Venugopal's statement that firewall is 5 metre thick and all. To which I replied that that's absurd firewall is not that you r saying. This scenario is to ask you that whether correcting or disagreeing in a strong way is right or not? What does it shows about the personality? Thank you for your answer in advance. 🙂
Sir my question is regarding lead ,should we stick to one lead or we can also change the lead in between if we find it to be more suitable.... And sir next thing is about group planning exercise.....I get confused while distributing the task and number of persons for each task. So what is the right way to approach that ..
Hello sir. You explained in the video that we should not cut anyone in between when he is delivering his thoughts but what if someone does the same when I am speaking, how to tackle from that?
