Hey! I read it, if you change fron PAL to NTSC you can have 60frames per second instead of 50fps when shooting in 1920x1080, is this true?:D
Sorry if it's a dumb question, I just want to make sure, because I'm hesitating between 200d and 250d. Because I need the 1920x1080 60fps and I also require 4k 25fps :)
eFallen yes, Pal is 50fps and ntsc is 60fps, this is in every camera asame.

Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed the video :) unfortunately there is no pause option on the camera, infact most camera's, it is usually only mobile phones you can do it on.
@@PSTUTORIALSTV so, only that I fully understand, for example all vlogger's who create videos on TH-cam who use their DSLR camera and don't have the pause option as you said, basically need to film many continuation parts and then clip them together with an editor software. Is that correct?

OMG!! New subscriber! Thank you for this video. I have been recking my brain for days trying to fix this issue that you've solved for me at 6:00. My audio has been picking up a radio interference when my external mics are in. Which none of my other cameras has this issue. I even called Canon and they told me they've never heard of this and that I may need to go to a different location to record and see if I get get any interference. They also suggested I purchase ferrite magnets. If none of those options worked they suggested I mail it in to which I won't have my camera for TWO WEEKS. 😩 I do have one concern, am I not able to access and switch audio settings when recording in auto setting. Audio setting seem not to exist in auto. I'm a newbie and am currently shooting in auto. I appreciate this video and any feedback you may have. Look forward to more videos!

Hey, I am wondering if you got the sound part wrong on here? I have this camera, I purchased a Rode microphone to go with it and it literally sounds no better then the cameras built in mic so I thought I must be doing something wrong, but if you turn down the mic all the way that turns down the external mic as well resulting in no audio.

The quality is definitely good enough, but there is a 30 minute record limit and then you will have to start recording again.
Hi Ben ..what type of a microphone would you reccomend when using a d250 and what should one do when the camera sounds like you're taking pictures before completing settings ..I mean everytime I try to start the setting session screen goes off I hear click like its already recording. Thanks Ben...just got my 250D here with the 3.5 kit lens and see it does not have the image stabilization switch...? Any idea on that? And do you know if there is a limit on live mode so it can used for streaming? I do not see a preset anywhere.
Hi Deek, your lens will have a stabilisation switch on the body of the lens, what lens is it exactly? Also you can record for 30 minutes straight

Ben - what would be the best settings to change if I find my skin tones are a bit reddish when LIVIE STREAMING - so I can’t adjust in post processing. I’ve fiddled with the white balance and a few settings, but apparently I’m not good at figuring it out. Thanks for any help.
Hey, so the best thing to change would be picture profiles, you have a set number of options including, portrait, landscape, neutral, etc. Try each one until you find the one you are most happy with which displays accurate skin tones 👍

To get the most from the 4K on this camera, shoot in Manual Focus mode and learn to use it, this is because the automatic focus mode in 4K is not very accurate. For cinematic mode use 1/50 shutter speed, auto iso and aperture low number on your lens.

Absolutely right! it comes out at 29.8fps which is 30fps when you switch over to PAL or NTSC in camera. Thanks for watching man!

This is a great tutorial! Somehow my video mode can only shoot under scene mode and automatic mode. I can’t record under M, Av or Tv mode. Do you happen to know why caused it? Thank you so much!
Oh! I just figured out. I set hdmi clean output for using sl3 as webcam, and that disabled some functions.

Based on your tutorial, this is what I believe I have learned in "Shooting for TH-cam:" First, I will be positioned pretty much as you’re sitting. I would greatly appreciate if you would review and let me know if I’ve misunderstood anything. SETTINGS: 24 frames per second, Shutter speed (double frame speed) Auto focus, face tracking , eye detection, , portrait picture profile, Lowest ISO possible (I do have lighting set up,) F 5.6 to blur background, External mic sound option turned down (I have a Deity D3 Pro,) and set lens stabilizer. And one question, is there a setting I have overlooked for framing or cropping for youtube? And, is there anything I have missed.? - Thanx, Keith:-)
Absolutely spot on Keith, all those settings are the correct ones. The only thing I could add, is if your lens goes lower than an aperture of 5.6 then use the lowest number to create more background blur, which will make you stand out even more. I just bought the 250D with the Rode VideoMicro. When I go into the sound recording it doesn’t give me any other option other than 'on' or 'off'. I do not see the function of manually changing this with the sound bars for example that I see on your camera.
Any advice or ideas why? I must be missing something?

Hi, thanks Brittany! Do you know if your 250d is using video system PAL or NTSC? you can find this by looking in your camera menu, which ever one it is on switch it to the other option and you should see the extra options in your sound settings
@@PSTUTORIALSTV Hi Ben, thank for the video I tried switching to NTSC but the same thing is happening with my camera as with Brittany. I am in the UK so presume I want to stay on PAL. I only have the on or off function for sound recording. Do you have any other suggestions?
I found the answer to this as I had the same problem. It turns out that you have to turn the dial on the top of the camera away from auto mode. Then a whole heap of further options become available to you in the menu. I hope this helps.
HI Ben I have the Cannon 250D but when I switch to video it is always really zoomed in even tho the camera and lense zooms are at minimum. So was wondering what lense you are using. Also I can not click on any the options on the AF button as are not highlighted. Do I need to change my lense from EFS 18-55mm?
you are most likely recording in 4k. 4k recordings have huge crop

im planning on buying a camera as a beginner. is the 250d a good option if i wanna film workouts in the gym and do home videos ?
250d would be great for that but do make sure for the type of field of view u want.Even make sure that the gym as well your house is well lit cuz u will get a very noisy shot in the dark rooms. U can check out my vlog on my channel "A failed surprise to one of my best friend" in this vlog i used the 250d with the kit lens 18-55.u will definately get a fair idea about it

There isn't in camera, the quickest easiest way to do it is to lower the clarity which gives a softer look inside your video editing software.

Hi! yes you can import them onto your imac using the usb cable. Importing them into iphoto app or whichever photo editing software you use.

@@PSTUTORIALSTV Thanks for the reply! My wife and I will be going to America to live and we want to document our experience mostly through video. Of course some still pictures too, but it will mostly be for a vlog for people who live in our country to see America through our eyes.
We hope to keep it in the $500 range used or refurbished. Lately I have been thinking about the M50 but the new one coming out doesn't seem to add many features so maybe just wait and buy the old one refurbished for a good price when the new one comes out.

Simply swap over from PAL to NTSC and you will have it.
I set everything like in this video but there was no sound on my videos.
Before I was using automatic sound recording and it worked well...So I don't know what I did wrong.

Hi Andrea, thank you for watching 🙂 if you put your camera in M mode, put your iso on auto and aperture low to f5 or lower, check if you can adjust your shutter speed then
Hi Ben I sorted after this ...if flash on the camera is up the shutter speed won't go past 125....so I used external flash all good now tha sorted
So with the 250D you only can either choose 50 or 25 frame rate? You can’t choose a custom number?
You need to swap from NTSC to PAL or the other way around and your shooting options will change.

Hi Ben - Are you sure about 6:04 where you say to put the Rec. level all the way down? After I plug in my external microphone and turn it down, it doesn't record sound at all. Seems straight forward, so I don't think I'm doing it incorrectly.
same issue here... seems you need to switch it to manual and then the volume adjustment is for the external mic. Once you set the volume, it looks like you can switch the mode back to auto for video and keep the settings.

@@agency-automation-highlights I was wrong and he was right! The meter visible on the display must only show the internal mic. Turn it all the way down like he says and record some footage. HUGE difference!
@@RestlessWonderer - Can't seem to figure it out. When I lower the internal mic all the way down (Rode connected) and then record - the volume is super low. Am I just expected to increase the volume on my editing software?
Why i dont have sound options in my 250d
As 24fps in 1080p not there we shoot 25fps so how we can match the slow mo of 60fps in post? As 60fps reduce to24fps by 40percent but 60 fps to 25fps thats a question to ans
The way to get 24fps is to switch PAL to NTSC and then you can shoot in 24fps and 60fps

@@PSTUTORIALSTV Hey thanks for getting back to me so fast man ! reason i ask is i started my channel with a Sony DSC-WX500 and i quickly found my iPhone 8 plus footage in 1080 60 fps HD was super clear so I've been using that since and now want to move over to a DSLR so wanted to make sure the footage would be as good if not better .

Can you suggest two good lens for video that work with this camera? One for a budget and one for whatever is best no matter the price?
Yes a good lens for budget is the kit lens as it has image stabilization (18 - 55mm) if you have the budget get the 24-70mm 2.8mm it's sharp, fast autofocus, and good enough focal length for most video work, with great background blur at 2.8

You set the largestsquare frame in the center of the frame and e.g f11 or otherwise?I care about keeping focus while filming
Hey Pawel, thanks for watching 🙏 it really depends on what you are filming, but F11 is going to keep more clear front to back in your scene and would be a better option if you wanted everything in focus, while using the large focus area, that's right 🙂
I want to have a sharp figure and surroundings when filming with a camera on a gimbal. That's why I thought about this biggest field of autofocus. But how it works, we'll see how I get a gimbal. Friends say that you will have to use manual focus on a person, but I also care about my surroundings

Try changing your mode to manual (M) at the top and then check your settings.
My 250D has different layout from yours and I can't get it to track face or eye , any suggestions on why it won't do it . Camera is brand new .
You may have the guided menu, if you go to settings I think it is the left one from the star. You will see ‘guided menu’ if you click on it en you change it to ‘standard menu’. I hope this will work! I don’t have the SL3 but I thought this was it.
I can’t find auto focus in the settings and my settings look different I have 6 different sections on shoot for example I am on standard menu display so I don’t know what the issue is.

Hi Jul, I am not to sure the meaning of the second question. The first question though, 4K video takes up more storage on your card than 1080p also you will need a faster write speed on your card. I recommend you go for a minimum of 64gb and ensure the write speed is at least 170mb
years later I still dont have a touch focus camera :( guess itll have to wait till i start using my camera again : )

Here's the solution..press menu, and navigate towards a setting called video system, change PAL to NTSC in this setting and it will be the same.
