They're pretty hard to find! I just go to places like Amazon.jp, suruga-ya and Mandarake and type in "shadowverse" or "rage of bahamut" or "granblue fantasy" and just scroll around to see what they have haha

Dear RZR, the game looks fantastic and I wish I could check it out but I can't find any events for it, except for some big events that are already over. How do you go about finding players/regular events for "smaller"/lesser known card games such as this?
Honestly just play the online game that’s what I do
AFAIK they've listened to the feedback and there should be more regular events next year. They added some additional LCQs to quality for Worlds like the one in LA that I'll be attending in January. Other than that I would encourage your LGS to hold some events and try to attract more players - perhaps even new player friendly Starter Deck only events?
@@RedZoneRogue oh thanks for the response. Yeah I'd consider asking a local game store but without at least a few other people beside me asking I'd doubt that they'll start holding events because there's simply not enough demand. I guess I can bring it up the next time I'm at an event and see how the store owners feel about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
@@matthubbard2607I was asking about it because I had this issue with other card games as well, which usually didn't have online versions, such as Force Of Will, or currently Grand Archive

What can I say, I genuinely love card games haha I guess I CAN say that SVE is legit becoming one of my all time favorites and whenever I get time to play games I choose it more often than not

Does anyone know if this game is like the Digimon tcg where you HAVE to buy every new set that comes in order to compete?
You'll likely need to update every new set or your deck will fall behind over time. Sometimes it's only a few cards though. I have a 10 deck deep dive coming soon and a couple decks only added 1-2 cards since the previous set and are still very strong

The game is good. Singles are hard to find though. Legendaries are either sold our or very expensive. Maybe you can share some deck lists that dont require legendaries.
I'd say the best would be something like aggro Abyss as the competetive version only uses 2 legendaries 🤔

I'm tempted to jump into this game but living in a place where card games are only ruled by the big 3.... kinda makes it hard for me to want to jump into it. Idk. I know itd be my responsibility to build a community, but I'm not sure if I want that task. *shrugs*
yeah it can be tough - but honestly I know a lot of people are frustrated with both MTG and YuGiOh right now and those folks might be the ones in your situation to give SVE a shot - the low barrier of entry would be a big plus for them

Don't know anyone that plays it, I did start collecting it because the cards do look good. Are all the G and L cards foils? Are there non-foil versions of them?
Yeah all of the Gold and Legendary cards come foil at minimum rarity
But is there a Katsu?

Why I like this game:
Everyone keeps saying Forest sucks Sword is arguably the best deck. Last weekend I went undefeated with Forest and curbstomped 3 Swords.
I've been playing a bit of combo forest recently and it's been pretty fun!
@@RedZoneRogue The interesting about Forest is that it has an answer to just about everything.
Giant Storms that try to one-punch you like Genesis Dragon? Woodkin Curse. A lot of Aegis? Forest has one of the few legitimate ways to get rid of it with Homecoming. Sword spamming a lot of small bodies to aggro? Elf May bounce spam. Healing? More burn damage than you know what to do with.
It all comes down to adjusting to what's popular locally, like I predicted a lot of Sword so I put answers to Sword, it paid off. The part I see most people mess up with Forest is trying to cram everything at once you have to carefully pick what you do based on the expected matchups.
after checking it, its looks like a downgrade, shadowverse champions battle for switch is still my favorite with guardians and satan magical decks and necro + countdown heaven but evolve looks alot badder in animations, what happend there? in champions battle it looks way better animated,alive and even fair, faster collecting of all cards. evolve dont looks like shadowverse anymore.

Legit I'm interested but the fact English is so many sets behind just means we won't have anything new for a while. And I really don't want to get into a game if the company has little interest in English releases
The fact that we're a few sets behind the Japanese release isnt exactly a bad thing. It means that we have some meta deck knowledge (so you know what cards to buy and what cards stay relevant) while also getting earlier bans to keep the meta less degenerate (ie they restricted Shenlong already but waiting a bit too long for the Japanese)
Like this game a lot but grand archive surpasses this ten fold
I very much love them both and actually intend to ramp up the content for each 🙏

Curious if anyone else thinks this. I feel it was really mild compared to other youtubers stuff
