It's funny how people hate on Linkin Park for changing. The main idea behind Linkin Park was always to do something new, fresh and never done before. And if you ask me they have done that each and every album. So no, they haven't changed a bit, they are still refreshing, new and the best band ever to set foot on this earth. They are just Linkin Park.
i wonder how they would develope ( since the last album) if Chester was alive now. They would be follow the sound of the music of today? They would be back to the old sound? or be more growls? I think would be what the beard guy would like.
As time goes by things changes and cannot always be the same.If its still the same we might felt boring. And Mr. Chester Bennington you'll always be remember it our heart.See you again in the after life.
Very well said, they said it coming into the music industry they were introducing a "hybrid theory" what could we sound like while fucking your minds up each and every time!! RIP Chester.
How time flies. Most of the comments are 9 years ago! So much happened in these years. Do you have water? How innocent was Chester, and how humble is Mike to run and get it. It’s painful, but we cherish your legacy Chester.
Tip: Do not watch this with a headache. As much as I love Chester's singing, when they did the drums in Powerless and Chester's vocals in Victimized, I actually felt like my head was going to explode. Now I know how Chester felt that day. :(
I wish this was included with the cd or at least the pre-order or a deluxe edition of some sort. I always love watching "making of" videos that come with albums. The more you understand the process the more you appreciate the final product and what its suppose to be.
People today complain about originality and when they get it they complain about nostalgy. People are stupid and you sir are a winner, great comment! :)
@ 14:13 When Chester did the vocals for Victimized, it was amazing. Then after all that badassery, he said, "I feel like my brain is gonna crumble apart into little pieces." That, ladies and gentlemen, is fuckin' rock n' roll...
this video really defines LINKIN PARK, how down to earth they are, i mean look at rob, he seems to me like a guy who wudnt hurt a fly.. how open they are each others thoughts and opinions, how humble in their own ways they are, how incredibly talented they are! chester has such a unique and versatile voice (14.38 - 15.05) "watch how he goes from that to this"! and wat about mike? he dusnt settle for anythin less, infact even if its the best thing we've heard he always wants a lil more out of it!
3:05 Rubin's absolutely right, I mean their song are just so deep , every song got his own personality, I discover every month a new element in a song, I will never get tired of listening to a LP song, and no one else in the world can write lyrics like LP does
am i crazy or is everything they sing just fucking awesome? i would love to get a day in the studio with them when they make their next cd just so i could feel the energy in the room!
A lot of this album reminds me of a more electronic, trancier, version of the old school LP! I really love to see them finally returning to their roots in a partial way; the way they have blended their old style together with their new style, and also brought in other new elements just sounds great! Lost in the Echo is exactly how Linkin Park should sound! It is fucking perfect. Them bringing back the rapping, screaming, scratching, energy, and the heavy'ness on this album makes me so happy!
Linkin Park still continues to surprise me.. I love the entire album even if it's not heavy like the other albums.. My favorite song in living things? UNTIL IT BREAKS.. because Brad sings in it! and it sounds pretty well! Another job well done guys!
I really love watching videos like this.It just gives you a kinda sneak peek of how they actually work and it's just amazing. The atmosphere of their studio is so cool.I'd say that they are 'the coolest band ever' but right now i'm gonna say that they are 'the most inspirational band ever'.Proud to be a LinkinParker!!
I love watching these guys- this video was very insightful and entertaining. They all work together well which is why the band's still so strong. Poor Chester...screaming his lungs out. He's my hero too! I hope this band never stops and it doesn't look like they have any intention to. For all the avid fans like myself LP forever!!!
roads untravelled is my favourite song from this album. I could never disrespect any of their albums no matter how much their sound changes across those because there is alteast 1 song in each that blows me away like its the best song I've ever heard so far. for ATS it was waiting for the end, for minutes to midnight it was In pieces
I love these guys...such geniuses...such dedication & hardwork they put...Th new album is epic...i thank LP's courage & wisdom to bring these kind of music...its golden music!
Here's to the never-ending journey of discovering newness and surprises in the sound of Linkin Park. Though I feel heavy for all the stored up samples which could have become new songs, the aura of Chester lives on transcending life. Rest assured, this energy, which cannot be destroyed, will always evolve from one form to another. ❤
It's interesting. When this album came out I didn't like it as much, I just didn't understand it. Now I'm almost as old as the guys were when they recorded Living Things, and now I get it. Every song hits so hard. thank you LP for being the soundtrack of my life!
Heh, the last sentiment is perfect, yet people are still complaining that this album is "too different" from the first two. Granted, it's getting a lot better feedback than ATS did, but it still bothers me that so many people keep trying to put Linkin Park--a band who has been about fusion from the start (hence the Hybrid in Hybrid Theory)--into one little generic box.
just bought the album and listened to the songs and..... its really good in my opinion better than the last one, really cool dinamics and sounds and just loved it ( by the way victimized is fucking awesome cool new sound)
As a LP fan from the mid 90's I love the newest LP album I can listen to it through and through just like I used to with Hybrid Theory and Meteora with out changing a track but Minutes to Midnight wasn't on my top of LP albums. I'm so happy with the newest album, I feel like they're back to their A Game!!
i like this video so much,it's really inside the production "living things" show the songs before the end......is amazing.......just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chester puts on a pair around 2.22,the point I'm trying to make is that they aren't beats by dre headphones. The ones that are the best thing since butter and toast, according to a lot of people.
Well, Mike/Brad does the actual producing. Rick is there mostly as a guide who checks in every couple of weeks or so just to see if they need any help or advice.
It's an amazing album, and I always love these videos, still I have one complaint. This video was a good 20 mins shorter than they usually are... which makes me sad because I really love watching these videos :(
I really wish you guys knew how momentous your efforts were in my life. I'd be willing to go public, but I'd like to assemble something other than that weird guy on the LP vid.

They’re honestly more of a experimental band than just a metal or hard rock band in my opinion
Very well said, they said it coming into the music industry they were introducing a "hybrid theory" what could we sound like while fucking your minds up each and every time!! RIP Chester.
dont mind them😂😂😂
"do you have water in here?" I chuckled at this only because I remember when Chaz said the same exact thing on making of "The Catalyst"
He also said that in A light That Never Come
😂
The moment he said you are my hero it hits me 🥺
Mike is a badass producer.
I've never seen so many people comment on how kind and humble this huge rockstar was.
❤
How they turned "Holding Company" to "Lost In The Echo" is just BADASS. Love it
Mike's voice is so soft and gentle I think he should sing more often
How time flies. Most of the comments are 9 years ago! So much happened in these years.
Do you have water? How innocent was Chester, and how humble is Mike to run and get it.
It’s painful, but we cherish your legacy Chester.
Gone too soon man🫂😭😭
It’s crazy how much I come back to LP videos, here in April 2023! Love you LP ❤
I feel these sessions are defintely less stressful comparing to the A THOUSAND SUNS' sessions
Tip: Do not watch this with a headache. As much as I love Chester's singing, when they did the drums in Powerless and Chester's vocals in Victimized, I actually felt like my head was going to explode. Now I know how Chester felt that day. :(
damn
6:30 Mike: "Okay cool." Chester: "meh." Mike: "Good first take!" Chester: "meh."
Haha I laughed.
Watching Mike being so energetic, happy and proud of his bandmates.. you can see that he loves so much what he's doing
Chester was sick during the recording of "Victimized" and was still that awesome!
Chester and Mike - There is nothing to compare of such awesomeness
9:47-10:52 love this song. And love how Rob plays the drums here!
I wish this was included with the cd or at least the pre-order or a deluxe edition of some sort. I always love watching "making of" videos that come with albums. The more you understand the process the more you appreciate the final product and what its suppose to be.

Linkin Park will remain FOREVER
When you see how much effort and work they put into each and every album, it makes you appreciate the entire album even more
First time watching this in years and Ive got chills all over again
It's clear now, Rob brought the magic in Powerless.
@ 14:13 When Chester did the vocals for Victimized, it was amazing. Then after all that badassery, he said, "I feel like my brain is gonna crumble apart into little pieces." That, ladies and gentlemen, is fuckin' rock n' roll...
living things is my most favorite album by linkin park and this is just what I need
this video really defines LINKIN PARK, how down to earth they are, i mean look at rob, he seems to me like a guy who wudnt hurt a fly.. how open they are each others thoughts and opinions, how humble in their own ways they are, how incredibly talented they are! chester has such a unique and versatile voice (14.38 - 15.05) "watch how he goes from that to this"! and wat about mike? he dusnt settle for anythin less, infact even if its the best thing we've heard he always wants a lil more out of it!
Little did you know that Rob is an international trained assassin taking down his Prey one target at a time
@@ryanwardlaw5345lmao I wouldn’t be shocked no matter how innocent a man looks u can NOT judge a book by its cover 😂😂😂😂
KIDs, learning from them in many ways, if you guy are musician songwriter Band or Solo artist, This video is inspirational.
Chester screaming like hell with hands on pockets *LIKE A BOSS* xD
3:05
Rubin's absolutely right, I mean their song are just so deep , every song got his own personality, I discover every month a new element in a song, I will never get tired of listening to a LP song, and no one else in the world can write lyrics like LP does
Stfu, tool make better music and lyrics
1:24 “Holding Company” 😊
3:27 You know that Brad like something when he says "Yeah" over and over xD
am i crazy or is everything they sing just fucking awesome? i would love to get a day in the studio with them when they make their next cd just so i could feel the energy in the room!
Rob destroyed the drums on Powerless! Thumbs up for Linkin Park :)
A lot of this album reminds me of a more electronic, trancier, version of the old school LP! Best album from them. Hats off
I Like Living Things But For Me The Best Album Is Hybrid Theory And Meteora
the part when 4 of them singing together reminds me of Iridescent when they were all singing
thats touching!!

I wish they did not stop…
Watching linkin park make music is magic
Mike should seriously keep a permanent supply of water in that room.
roads untravelled is my favourite song from this album. I could never disrespect any of their albums no matter how much their sound changes across those because there is alteast 1 song in each that blows me away like its the best song I've ever heard so far. for ATS it was waiting for the end, for minutes to midnight it was In pieces
Holding company sounds sooo chill especially when the little pick of the guitar comes in, we gotta demand this like across the line!!!
"You just kicked my mind in the balls" 😂😂
damn, I would love to hear some rough demos of all these amazing songs ... robs drums sounded so great unedited!
love how rob has a camera attached to his head LOL
I love these guys...such geniuses...such dedication & hardwork they put...Th new album is epic...i thank LP's courage & wisdom to bring these kind of music...its golden music!
This is the first time I'm watching a song come to life...
I would give up everything to be able to work like LP's working during their album-process. I am really amazed at how they craft their music.
I keep going back to Chester recording his vocals for In My Remains *_*
working on powerless
mike:" you gotta do some that sounds more powerful" xD
15:49
- Anything else you wanna try?
- no.
Legendary.
I Miss Chester :( Wish There Was A Time Machine Where We All Could’ve Saved Him
Here's to the never-ending journey of discovering newness and surprises in the sound of Linkin Park. Though I feel heavy for all the stored up samples which could have become new songs, the aura of Chester lives on transcending life. Living Things is so underrated
The greatest 17:03 minutes of my life!
Right.!?
Holding company sounds so soothing and chill
Chesters voice is so soft then it RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
16:14 CASTLE OF GLASS instrumental sounds AWESOME!!!!!
Painting next to the vocal booth for "In My Remains" is by Audrey Kawasaki.
It's interesting. When this album came out I didn't like it as much, I just didn't understand it. Now I'm almost as old as the guys were when they recorded Living Things, and now I get it. Every song hits so hard. thank you LP for being the soundtrack of my life!
Same bro. Same! I appreciate this album more NOW that I am older.
14:24 - Bennoda moment!!
This album will be amazing and breathtaking! Love you, LP!
Linkin Park should make Rob wear that GoPro at every concert.
This was THE childhood awakening of mine, will forever cherish the album.
I so agree. I love their new album and A Thousand Suns!! They have come a long way when they first started with Hybrid Theory.
I love these guys so much, best band ever seriously
Heh, the last sentiment is perfect, yet people are still complaining that this album is "too different" from the first two. Granted, it's getting a lot better feedback than ATS did, but it still bothers me that so many people keep trying to put Linkin Park--a band who has been about fusion from the start (hence the Hybrid in Hybrid Theory)--into one little generic box.
They should release making of the hunting party and one more light video
I never knew Brad was one of main producers and songwriters.
in my remains is my favorite LP song!
their best album IMO
My favorite Linkin Park album; you can tell they're really in their element.
Everyone Knows That Mike is Genius . . . . . .
14:31 "You are my Hero"!
i love the bass in roads untraveled
I'm one of those Gen Z guys for you all
But I'll carry this precious gift
Linkin Park and Chester
Will always be in our hearts ❤️
just bought the album and listened to the songs and..... its really good in my opinion better than the last one, really cool dinamics and sounds and just loved it ( by the way victimized is fucking awesome cool new sound)
WOW!!! You guys are awsome pure artist i am on my toes to know when you guys are gona be in Montreal .
Mike has possibly the coolest home studio in the world
As a LP fan from the mid 90's I love the newest LP album I can listen to it through and through just like I used to with Hybrid Theory and Meteora with out changing a track but Minutes to Midnight wasn't on my top of LP albums. I'm so happy with the newest album, I feel like they're back to their A Game!!
Chester was always sick when recording an album.
I already play it 10 time.. I like how there all work in team..............
i like this video so much,it's really inside the production "living things" show the songs before the end......is amazing.......just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is teamwork!
11:22 - these lyrics never got released!
5:16...I think Mike should have done the verse vocals for in my remains, sounds good!
Love this😢❤
Rob is a technical drummer!
If you've ever heard instrumentals of their songs, Rob is an incredible drummer, even all the way back on Hybrid Theory.
i love Chester!!
my band works its asses off to be the best!
LOVE YA!
proud to be a hardcore LINKIN PARK SOLDIER!!!
Chester puts on a pair around 2.22,the point I'm trying to make is that they aren't beats by dre headphones. The ones that are the best thing since butter and toast, according to a lot of people.
4:42 I wonder if they realized at some point that this was a Muse line.
its rick rubin, yes he's the producer he has been for the last 3 records (minutes to midnigh, A thousand suns and Living things)
Well, Mike/Brad does the actual producing. Rick is there mostly as a guide who checks in every couple of weeks or so just to see if they need any help or advice.
it`s just so much fun to watch!
8:48 they nodded simultaneously after finding that notes looks so funny
Poor Chester :(
I could watch it forever
Hot take (maybe?): As much as I like Lost in the Echo, I think the Holding Company demo had the potential to be a way better song.
It's an amazing album, and I always love these videos, still I have one complaint. This video was a good 20 mins shorter than they usually are... which makes me sad because I really love watching these videos :(
I see you
I really wish you guys knew how momentous your efforts were in my life. I'd be willing to go public, but I'd like to assemble something other than that weird guy on the LP vid.
take a bow LP. ..you will always be our fav no.matter what..... LP forevA★
8:31 favorite song
Yeah I remember hearing this back in 2012 when it came out. Absolutely love this track since.
