my mother had a stroke two weeks ago. Which was a bleeding stroke pretty much. She is in a coma and I'm trying to communicate to her. The doctors say she has a low chance of recovering from this, but I heard of so many stories of people's families that got the same news on a loved one abd they recovered. Yestarday they put a Tracke in her and a Peg and they say they will remove the draining tube from her head Friday. Overall my mother's organs are good no issues with that it's just her brain. But we will still have faith and hope
My dad is in the hospital right now and is recovering from a TBI. It's been a month and 2 days now and he's not in a coma, he is in a minimally conscious state. He's been moving a lot and he was responsive but today he isn't very much at all.. they say it's up and down which is normal they said which I hope is true. I just want to know when he is going to wake up.. please respond
My brother suffered a head injury and is bleeding from the lower part of his brain after a fall. He has been taken off medication but still not waking up. Today he opened his eyes when we talked to him today but now he is not. Was opening his eyes a good sign? If he did it once why can he not do it anymore. Why does head trama keep them in concious I don't understand
My mother is a TBI patient in she been in vegetable state for 2 months she overdose on drugs in had a stroke but it been 2 months but she moves alot the nurse said she do response to pain in moves her whole body but her breathing is not that good please let me know the possible outcome is she gonna wake up
Now that you say that it may take even months then my friend that is like a brother to me probably he would've woke up if the doctors didnt give up on him. I miss him alot. He will always be like a brother to me. R.I.P my good friend Ivan 🙏🏻❤️
My father recently fell whilst being deprived from sleep for 3 days while working continually . So he fell and wasn't getting oxygen to his brain for about 10 mins or 12 the doctors say...and when he was found the performed CPR on him for 10 min & managed to get him back , from there he went to ICU where they immediately froze his body for 24 hrs then they gradually brought his body back to temperature and did an MIR where it showed No brain activity , now they said he still is showing basic brain functions like breathing , coughing & etc but not physically . So they gave us a option let him live on a ventilator & go to a nursing home or let him go basically so mind you all this happend in 3 days maybe I feel naive but they tried to give a dramatic decision within 3 days tells me something isn't adding up I feel like they aren't doing the best they could do I need any more information ? He's 41 & also they're saying his kidneys & liver is starting to fail due to him not being on the machine all the way like with the actual surgery part of the vent procedure
Patrik Hutzel Thank you so much I'm not trying to forced the impossible but I just think they're reaction to this situation was they saw him & instantly had not one ounce if remorse except for one nurse this gives me hope they seem so negative it's very bad energy but I would like more info thanks
I am going through the same thing as of right now. My mom is 74 and very healthy. She had a heart attack and therefore was not able to get enough oxygen into the brain. She is in the ventilator right now. But kidneys are doing really good and lungs are clearing out of fluids. She is not waking up and the hospital doctor's want to have a meeting Monday. We are really scared. It is very difficult to go through this. I feel like I myself is going to get a heart attack. We are praying and hoping that she can wake up or react to our voices at least. Only 10% of her brain is functioning. We need help and guidance
Hi Patrick , is there any stage of the recovering period of Severe TBI? My brother had an accident this year, may 14. He is currently recovering at home. He woke up 3 weeks after post op but hes just staring blankly. And then the 4th week after he woke he is able to move but can respond yet. 5th week he is able to respond a little but is usually irritable. Right now, he already has tracking and able to response when we call his name but he is unable to speak yet of the trache.
My wife had a TBI, AVM removal and hemmoragh a few weeks ago. She has been in hospital for a month and is talking a little now but has delerium and laughs a lot. Is this normal?
@@INTENSIVECAREATHOME Hi Patrik, she has moved out about 10 days ago and was in HDU, high dependency, now is in a bay ward. She still cannot obey all commands but can respond and will talk quite a bit, but thoughts and responses are not very accurate. She will often say her memories which are from 4-5 months ago. She also laughs quite a lot and finds most things funny. Then has serious moments. She has had an AVM and hematoma removed and also has hypertension.
Thanks for giving hope
