- Exploring the highlights and iconic villages of Gran Canaria. In this final episode of our cycling trip to the Canary Islands, we include routes going to Pico de las Nieves, an epic climb leading to the highest point of Gran Canaria. As well as the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Agaete, Moya and Arehucas.

@@Buzzalong.cycling thanks very much. I appreciate that. Planning on doing Barcelona, Geroana, Andorra and the Grand Canaria. Not bike packing but I d like to take a bus or train to travel along from place to place.

When you talked about descending and "here in the Netherlands" I was puzzled by your Latin accent. But then I saw the comments and mentioning you grew up in Gran Canaria it became logic for me! :)

many thanks for your comment ^^ you are right I am from Colombia but I grew up in Gran Canaria. I am currently living in the Netherlands so that is why I haven't had the chance to practice many steep descents. Totally recommend Pico de las Nieves and Valley of Tears. I will suggest bringing enough gears because the climbs are very steep. I will make some videos about cycling routes in the Netherlands, so don't forget to subscribe :)
