Fun fact; Lorelai uses a different weapon in every game. A bow in S1, a halberd in S2 and a whip in S5. She's not as good of a fighter as she is in the other two games however.
Also never *EVER* select giive up on the Blinking Mirror! If you do, you'll lose it forever since there's only one in the game. A friend of mine did that once and they needed to reload a save from hours beforehand to get it back. Save yourself the headache.

I'm tempted to start playing this myself because the combat looks seriously fun. The one thing that puts me off is the inventory management - that looks tedious as sin.

I love the voices you use for the kobolds and its funny how you give all of the elves an irish accent.
I finally finished it today. It was such a great game. And it was quite easy to get everyone. I loved every minute I played. I only can recommend this one to anyone.
I guess every turn-based RPG has to have anthropomorphic animals of some kind. Even if you say they suck I still have to say that Kuromimi is cute.
Each Suikoden game introduces a new Anthro type race as well.
And yet there hasn't been one that is ONLY anthros
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Just a tip for the major battles,
it's not completely random,
if you go through a couple of rounds and reset,
the order the other side will be the same
i.e. If they charge, use bows, and charge again, it would be the same order after resetting.
I like how the hint things like Mathieu warning about the reconaissanse team, and Viktor telling Gremio to stay.
I've used the Kobolds. Throughout the entire game. Fun. Especially if you use both of them.

So very true. Even better if you use them with Fu Su Lu and their three person unite attack.

I like to use Sylvina as my Long-Ranger! She’s actually not bad with a Fire Rune c: I usually use at least one “weird” character on my teams in my Suikoden playtroughs (and I always put Flik on my team ;p)

I was going to say otherwise for Hellion, but unfortunately found news that the final rune ability is non-functioning. She does do a lot of enemy party damage, however, providing they're earthbound.

I took Hellion all the way to the end. :) I used her in a kind of unusual way, though. I had her and one other character (not mentioning the other character's name for spoiler reasons) with Mother Earth runes in my party, and then I managed to cast Skin of Clay on all six party members at once, so from that point forward there was NOTHING the boss could do and it was a battle of attrition. I didn't know that was so weird but it worked! Also I hope you have a great time, and I am really enjoying this playthrough.
Suikoden Tactics might be my favorite game in the series ... maybe (usually my "favorite" depends on which one I'm playing at the moment). How about you? (Also I can't imagine getting through Tactics without Lazlo to dump swords on everything, especially those ridiculous Earth Dragons!)

It's a good Job I'm watching this LP because I never picked up Apple I'll have to do that. My team was the same as Yours for this part although I did need Tai Ho and Yam Koo for something.

Flik and Victor relationship got shaken a little because of Odessa death and you can tell flik took some time to get over his grudge but I'm glad they patch things up by suikoden 2 best tag team ever !!!!!!!

I really like to take Eileen and Cleo as magic members and always grind Pahn up to optimal level later on. Fliktor is always a good duo as well imo

You need a level 4 castle for Clive if I remember correctly.

That's the biggest problem i have with Suikoden 1, just the amount of battles where you can't win. It feels kinda cheep to me, tbh. Also, in my opinion, the game really slows down when you get to Milich.
