    I really like my EM 600 ! Two small gripes...... 1) Don't knock 'em around. The in/out jacks and the switches are frail. 2) I made the mistake of not tweaking it before a gig. On stage with dark lighting, it's hard to see the settings unless you memorize them. The EM 600 sounds just as good if not better than the Boss DD-6.

    Great demo. I think I prefer the modulation on the Behringer, especially in tape mode.

  • @valkiria_ito
    @valkiria_ito 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Oddly enough the em has a unique modulated sound, which might sound a little glitchy but hence such a beautiful modulation.

    Great comparison review, thanks. For me the L6 was better on the swells, Multi-tap 2, and Reverse. However, I preferred the modulation from the Behringer (especially at the 50% mark).
    I wish I hadn't sold my L6. Weighed a ton!

      they are so heavy! I got the Verbzilla reverb by line6.. same casing.. but is was nowhere near as heavy.. think its just the echo park haha.. thanks :D

    You didn't set the Mix to unity gain. Not all pedals have the same values on their pots. You could notice the Behringer's values where a tad bit higher. For example, if you set the modulation at 12oc on both pedals, the Behringer sounds like its set at 2oc if it where on the Line6 EP. This applies to the Mix knob too, that's why the Behringer sounds more prominent.

    • @RossTotino
      @RossTotino 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. The behringer uses essentially the same code from Line 6. The main difference is in the quality of the hardware, components and converters.

    Does the mix knob cut the dry sound on both pedals when thy are bypassed. I know the EM600 does, wondering if it’s also the case with the EP.

  • @victorfdz3361
    @victorfdz3361 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi friend, I have a question about the EP and I was wondering if you could help me. I recently bought the line 6 and when I read the manual it said that when the pedal is in bypass mode it should be flashing amber, but mine (and in the video I can see yours too) has a flashing red, and the manual says this indicates low battery
    Do you consider this to be normal? and how long have you been with this pedal? Does it still work?
    thanks by the way, great video.

    • @RyanLutton
      @RyanLutton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Very interesting spot! I'd never actually noticed this haha.. are you using a battery or power supply? I've just checked my Echo Park and its working fine, so I don't think its anything to worry about! with or without a battery the light is flashing what looks like "RED" when bypassed, not sure if its a mistake or the RED is actually AMBER? (maybe someone else can comment if they have more experience with it)

    • @victorfdz3361
      @victorfdz3361 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RyanLutton I was using a power supply, so the battery thing that the manual mentioned didn't make sense haha, but I considered it abnormal and your answer helped me, that worried me tbh, also because when I was looking for information in forums, some people said that experienced problems with this model.
      It's great that yours is fine after the years. Thanks!

    Thanks for this comparison. I have probably watched it ten times because I've wanted the Echo Park for awhile. I have the EM600, which is fun...any improvement in signal volume in the Echo Park (because it sounds stronger to me)?

    • @RyanLutton
      @RyanLutton  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no problem :) out of the two I own the Echo Park.. the Echo Machine belongs to a friend.. to my ear when I'm playing the Echo Park sounds more natural but I still think the Echo Machine is great value for your money.. plus the Echo park gets annoying because you have to use a special power supply and also I've found its quite a noisy pedal.. I didn't find those problems with the behringer :)

    Not a 100 percent clone. The modulation on the Behringer is not as subtle at lower settings… it ramps up too quickly. But that is more likely because 12 o’clock on the Behringer is not at unity with the Line 6. Saying that I’d rather pay £45 for the Behringer secondhand than £150 for the Line 6. They are very similar and both have pros and cons.

  • @leascaart
    @leascaart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh, I see. In this video, you simply tap once to turn off the Echo Park and the red light comes on right away. Simple. Mine never does that. There's gotta be something wrong with it . It's very easy to turn it off. Tap once after having it on for a while and red light comes on, on yours. Not mine. I get it now.
