- What Was Florida's First Tourist Trap? That honor belongs to Silver Springs Park near Ocala which has been operating since before the Civil War! In this video, we cover the history of Silver Springs Nature Park and Wild Waters Water Park!

Another fantastic deep dive Joe. Super interesting!
Thank you!
As a central Floridian, these videos have been a great reminder of all the history of where I live. Glad the park was turned back into a typical state park.
I’m glad you’ve been enjoying them! Highlighting the history of the area was a huge goal of mine because I find it all so interesting. Im also happy that efforts have been made to preserve and restore the natural wonder of Silver Springs!
Great vintage images, great information, very well put together. NIce work!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I have a bunch of ideas for similar videos coming out soon!
Love these videos Joe, keep it up!
Thank you!
Wow, I had no clue it was an amusement and water park and for so many years! It’s cool that they still have the glass bottom boat rides still and that it is more nature focused again! Great info!
Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed it!
Amazing video buddy, great job!
Thank you!
Love the newer park and the campground with its trails and larger camping spots.
It sounds beautiful! I’ve never been to Silver Springs, but I really want to make the drive up soon! What’s your favorite spring in the state?
@@JoeMrozek@JoeMrozek Most of the ones that have campgrounds just for convenience and Itchetucknee. Rainbow, Blue, Gilchrist blue...
@@RuffLifeGraphics Sweet! I have some camping equipment I haven't had the chance to use yet, maybe I'll break it out soon for a nice trip to a spring. Thank you!
Florida is a faint memory of what it once was so many beautiful clean places I used to camp and fish are now housing developments truly saddens me
I agree, but I’m happy to see that it seems like Silver Springs is moving against that trend!
kevin would be proud
That might be the nicest compliment I’ve ever gotten on a video! Defunctland and BrightSunFilms both inspired me so much
