Just picked up Pentax 645, I’m stoked to tryout the kit since it came with a flash too.

As much as I was hyping up the handle, I have now realised that all the shots of me holding the camera show me not even using it.

These shots are beautiful. I'm about to venture out with my Pentax using an external flash. This gave me more confidence considering the metering ahah

Have you tried shooting one or two shutter stops faster than the "sync speed" when using flash? I've found some cameras to be somewhat conservative with their specifications.

I too am curious about the metering. I know those flashes have some dials and things to set and I’m wondering if you bothered with those?

It does! You put in the ISO, then measure distance to your subject and then it tells you which aperture you should use, should have spoken about this in the video but forgot.

Nice video! Wish you talked a bit about your metering though... Do you use the "auto" mode of the flash? Or do you use a handheld flash meter?

On the contrary. 1/30 there as well for studio work with strobe as you’ll be on a tripod so you can go slower for wider open. & flash is roughly 1/1000 anyway.
    Jack did well. Brilliant project.

I just did a test shoot with a canon speedlite in my house at night. I shot almost everything at f2.4 but kept changing the shutter speed.
