I've received quite a few messages asking if I'll be covering the situation with Poi and Build. The short answer: yes, absolutely! However, it would be smart for us to wait until the legal proceedings are over so any information shared will be accurate. The entire story is based on myths surrounding SA. I am not surprised that people who wrote that are problematic in real life. I don't even need season 2, put the cast in something new, they're the reason I like the show. PROTECT THEM.
This I haven't read the book but I know the actually show deviated a lot from the book. Like there were a lot more graphic stuff done to Pete. I imagine them wanting to claim these actors as their property just because they helped cast them. It doesn't work like that they need to be banned and I think if they are even glimpsed on set there should be a riot

Its one of the worst examples of what the genre is capable of making (the novel) seeing as the show is still very problematic in places it's a huge change from the novel which is really fucking depressing cuz it shows how fucking bad it is , we can have shows that don't promote SA , abuse and harmful stereotypes and we should gay people especially don't deserve to be portrayed like this :/ things can be kinky weird and fun and be healthy people just have to not write like Fucking totally hacks ಠ_ಠ stop adapting fucking wattpad novels and webcomics please , at least most of them anyway (¬_¬)ﾉ

Honestly, from what I hear, the series was “inspired” by the novel, but the novel was gruesome and not great writing.
So to see these two making so much money really just due to the talents of others is infuriating.

once i found out that barcode was a minor when he played in the show, i felt so sick and uncomfortable that they would pair him with a man a decade older than him. im glad that jeff is a decent person and just treats code like a little brother, but i hate the company is milking the ship and wanting to push it so far.

They were my favorite couple, I used to really want season 2 or side story’s because of them. I’m glad that they were soft and angsty, and not sexual at least. But that’s bare minimum. I was shocked to find out he’s a minor, I knew he looked young, but usually older actors play younger characters and not the other way around. I don’t want any additional content anymore if that means them being uncomfortable or authors getting involved again. This was so disgusting to watch.

I 100% agree with the minor part and the likes. But thank goodness he’s finally legal. But we also have to remember that he read the books and choose to auction for the part. But in all honesty, age gaps are normal in this industry worldwide. Both couples from Cutie pie have a 9 year age gap. Zee is 30 and NuNew is 21, while Max is 28(turns 29 in October) and Nat is 20 (JUST turned 20 in August). And Max and Nat have been a ship since Nat was a minor during the filming of Why R U that came out in 2020. They’ve been now 5 different projects together. Heck the American show business is no better, if not are worse.
They do that a lot in Thai bl, in many series the age gap is huge, but I don’t think that’s the problem cause it’s simply work. The important is that they are professionals
Hearing about this was so devastating because these actors and other crew members genuinely care about this show - hell, i think i've heard the story about Mile being one of the major producers funding the project! These authors are taking absolute advantage of this starlight even when in reality, the story they've written has drastically changed from the original storyline? Honestly, I don't need a second season if it means that they'll be on project - I care more about the casts' safety, away from those two, than whether this story keeps going.

They are all obviously extremely uncomfortable around the authors, it's disgusting. They should be happy their "wattpad" story was transformed into such a good TV Show and be respectful to all of the actors that made the characters alive. Like okay I got the excitement but they are people, living people not toys! I hope both authors will get the lessons needed to change their behaviour.
I want to add one ome thing- I honestly feel like the "massages" advices could be compared to intercourse, like they are pretty much telling Barcode he has to "pleasure" his superiors to get a role/job he wants... I think it's disgusting, especially when Barcode was a minor at the time, and I also see anxiety in his face when he is talking about it.

How bad is this industry, if people don't even try to hide their predatorial behaviors and instead broadcast them on the internet for everybody to see? It seems like this authors not only don't see nothing wrong with their conduct, but even feel some pride in fact (considering how eager they were to bring topic of massages for example) that they made cast members tolerate or go along with it. This is really disturbing.
I can't watch it all. But I don't like it when staff try to invade the personal space of actors just because the role requires them to be a bit vulnerable. OK so the actors themself do fanservice together, that doesn't mean staff is free to touch them at will and say inappropriate things. Some of them act as if they are the ones in a relationship with the actors.

In the first video of Barcode you can see Perth in the background keeping his eye on Barcode around the writers making sure he's okay. If you know Perth you know he's a very smiley and upbeat person but right then he did not look happy. You can also see he didn't take his eyes off Barcode until Jeff stepped in.
I was literally partying in my room after knowing there's gonna be a second season but after knowing this kind of disgusting thing, I don't even want a second season anymore I just want my babies to be safe. tbh I didn't even watch KinnPorsche because of it's plot but it was because of the cast and NO I don't meany just only their looks but their personalities off-screen and the acting skills

No, they would not as no one went to the authorities to complain. The use of minors in BL dramas is a big no-no even in Thailand. None of the actors complained or filed lawsuits....so defacto there are no victims regardless of what the videos show.
I read that writers have really strong copyright laws in Thailand that affords them more access than other countries might have. That explains Jeff's comments about them abusing their author rights. It sounds like BoC's hands are kind of tied. I'd rather there be no S2 at all if this is the outcome. But even the actors themselves seem to be willing to put up with it in the interest of getting a S2. And if this is true, why would Jeff have just signed a contract to be placed under their management? If I was witness to SH or SA, I'm not sure I'd stay with a company who couldn't guarantee my or my coworkers' safety. I feel like so much is lost in the translation, industry norms, and culture that we may never understand exactly what is going on. But it leaves me with a bad feeling and IDK how we'll possibly be able to support the actors and crew without also supporting the authors. I used to write myself so it's nice to see a country that's protecting their authors. It's just so sad that these two are completely abusing those privileges.
That’s what I don’t understand why would they agree to do season 2 with all this stuff happening like I personally couldn’t unless I was contractually obligated and couldn’t get out of it, yes those of us who loved the first season of kp wanted season 2 cause the cast was so amazing in it but after learning about this stuff I’d rather not have it if it compromises the boys safety and well being but if they agreed to willingly do it then I mean what more can one do except hope for the best with them having to work with these people, im confused if I’m honest I just don’t understand why they want to do season 2 willingly if being treated this way, are they doing it to please fans cause they don’t have too and I hope they know that idk it’s just a messed up situation
I honestly think that the actors believe it's a necessity for them to endure it. From these clips alone we can see those ppl are proud of what they're doing and if they do it on camera I believe there's a certainty of no punishment whatsoever which plagues the industry in Thailand, so from my pov what I believe is happening is that if they were to seriously step away from it they could be bad mouthed to other producers since these ppl seem to hold a lot of power.
That's what I think at least, there could be more at play, but seeing all of these I honestly have no hope that other companies are that much different
I dont think we will have S2 KP since BOC already terminate their contract with KP author. I am not read KP novel and I read a lot comment that says KP series already toned down a lot than the novel version, especially kimchay story.
After I see this video, I really say in my heart " Thanks god there is no S2" , I felt relieved BOC choose to the ended the contract with these author.
The authors have done disgusting things and have not showed any regret, improvment or change of mindset. Its truly disgusting. I rather not have a KP S2 if the cast is going to be harassed here and there.

I realize I'm "late to the party" on this one, but I just wanted to point out that the "laughing & joking" about the molestation & grooming has a term. It's called a fawn response. It's very common for victims of grooming or harassment to "fawn" (laugh off or joke) at their abusers when discussing the abuse. It's a subconscious way of trying to appease the abuser & prevent them from lashing out, which is at odds with the desire for the abuse to stop. So they say the horrible thing that's happening, but with a smile & joking manner. Most people are aware of fear responses such as "Fight or Flight". However, there are 2 additional responses that are more specific to trauma, and they are "Freeze or Fawn". From my perspective, all the clips shown in this video are textbook examples of the fawning response.
Perth being so vigilant and angry they are approaching the child makes me really respect him for all the right reasons rather than "he is so handsome".
IF season 2 is to be made, I think it should be written into a contract BEFORE any filming begins that the authors will have as little contact with the actors from here on out! It's disgusting. and the fact that they are PROFITTING from their horrid behavior is even worse!
@Niranjaniy Gananakaran it's more simple than that. if BOC really wants to protect their actors, they give the authors the ultimatum that they sign the contract with the stipulations written in or they won't be making a season 2. Take it or leave it. But like you, I agree that if BOC can't protect the actors, there shouldn't be a season 2. No one should be subjected to sexual harassment at work!

The BL industry in Thailand 🇹🇭 is beginning to feel more and more like the “ boy band” craze in the U.S. 🇺🇸 in the 90’s. In subsequent documentaries it showed how a lot of young aspiring artists were indeed groomed and taken advantage of financially and sexually by a lot of unscrupulous individuals. The artists didn’t feel that had the power to speak up and often time their contracts were written in such a way they couldn’t speak 🗣 up without losing their careers.
Personally, I think 💭 people weren’t and aren’t as upset by it because the victims are men and a surprising number of the perpetrators in this case are women. People need to realize harassment is about power not gender and it’s wrong, regardless! I love the straightforwardness of Mile and Bible especially. I want to support the actors who have worked so hard to bring the series to life, but at the same time, I don’t want to help perpetuate the problem. If that means no season 2, I’m okay with it.
These types of things still happen to modern boy bands especially kpop boy bands. But you are right as it's men being harassed, audiences aren't as upset and appalled by it due to the very expectation that our men can handle it while the women can't. In fact, No person regardless of biology or gender identity should be harassed in any form!

You're so right! I remember the craziness that was "Boy Bands" in the 90s. Boyz II Men were my favorite. Yeah, it was a lot of controversy behind some of the groups and behind the scenes. That show Diddy hosted... "Making the Band" had very similar allegations of sexual harassment and "Quid Pro Quo." It's a sad situation, but it has always been an issue in Hollywood, and now so many more cases are being revealed for the last few years. 😔 I had noticed the guy's demeanor had changed, and they didn't seem as enthusiastic. I just want Build to be alright! I'm glad he's from under BOC and those writers. 😔 😟 🙁 😥

Honestly, if I had known the contents of the novel, then I wouldn't have been so eager to watch it in the first place.
I wasn't really sold on the show until ep.5, because of how they handled the aftermath of the auction. How Porsche was trying to keep up his happy-go-lucky persona, but kind of folded in on himself at times. Apo played the inner turmoil so well. Ep.6 solidified it for me. They didn't just gloss over the fact that it happened and jump straight to the typical 'they love eachother, so therefore everything is fine'.
BOC seem to have made some good changes with the script, but I hope that the industry gets to a point where they either take original scripts, or choose novels without all the creepy tropes. I never read the source material, so I often wind up being kind of disgusted when I later hear bits and pieces of what is actually in them. I like complicated characters and stories, so I'm not asking for everything to be butterflies and roses, but there are limits.
I would've loved to see a S2. I was intrigued with maybe seeing more of the mafia aspect of things, but I can't in good conscience get behind something that those two are this enmeshed in. It's a real shame, because all the actors have done a fantastic job at getting to know their characters, and don't seem ready to let go of them either. Unfortunately I can't really see a way that BOC could separate the authors from the show, so I think that the best we can hope for is that a new contract would limit their access to the actors.
I seriously can't believe the high level of acting that is coming from some of the rookies. They rival a lot of the established actors in the industry, so I'm sure I'll see them in other things in the future.
I even stopped watching the show after 7 or 8 episodes. I can't believe how Porsche accepted that he has sex with a man. And Porsche has a lot of one nights with females in his bar and still never became exclusive for one woman. He is sort of a playboy. But in the show he just became too much lovey dovey and feminine immediately with Kim.
They just made the death of big, first head bodyguard as nothing. He died on Porsche while protecting him. Big even said ' Porsche, please take care of kim'. But they just fuck like rabbit after it. In real mafias, they give proper sendoff to their trusted bodyguard as their whole family.
And the other friend he got kidnapped while helping to rescue Porsche. But he didn't even care about him. They messed up the story and took advantage of the side characters, that's why I stopped watching it.
Acting was so good.
Also even tho series had some creepy tropes, unlike in most BL (which is why I distanced myself from it and what I get easily, very annoyed with), I feel like it wasn’t shown as something good.
Like yeah Kinn and Porsche still got together (which I also actually find quite realistic, since world is the way it is), but their reactions to it showed that it wasn’t really something “hot” or “romantic”. It’s bare minimum and I hope it would’ve been shown more seriously, but yeah it’s realistic I think.
And the trope with Pete, his internal turmoil, hatred and confused feelings. His breakdown to the point of suicide attempt (if u could say it like that). Even getting back with his abuser regardless. I think it was shown very well, like actual Stockholm Syndrome and not something sold as love, like usual.
Im very sensitive to topics of SA and toxic relationships, but I genuinely didn’t find them as intolerable here because they weren’t perceived as something acceptable really. Actors really did an amazing job.

Tbh, I actually glad that BOC decided to change the story. I just think that the novel version is truly problematic after reading so many reviews. I once saw a comment said the novel is like a teenfic (yes a "wattpad" fic) and it was a miracle that BOC was able to turn it into a global series, which makes me think I will never ever read the novel. Actually, I have read 1 chapter in VegasPete story and it was honestly disgusting :( so never again.
For the casts to put up with them is truly a nightmare. Tho I still want a SS2 because the story is interesting, I hope this situation will somehow be solved. I'm saying this because I don't know how Thailand works, culturally and politically. But looking at series from GMMTV, I don't think I have seen authors involved so much with the production and the crew. Moreover, even if Daemi has the copyright, it doesn't mean they have the right to anyone's body???? This is purely power abuse and SH.

Unfortunately, this is a very common practice in the Industry, especially with BL. It is coming to light more and more. One day soon those who have committed sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and other things of this nature will have Karma to deal with. I work in this industry and have seen how actors deal with it.
This is the exact message the BL “War of Y” is trying to spread.
I never actually watched KinnPorsche but this makes me so sad :(( I’ve seen people talking about how Barcode is/was a minor during the show or something along those lines.. but this is literally over the line :// I feel so bad for these amazing actors for having to go through this

Same i havent watched the show too. Everytime i want to start i hear some stories and im like woah maybe not. And how i waited for it to come out. The cast is amazing gosh but the story has somef stuff that makes me a bit uneasy.

Moon, this was eye-opening. 🙆🏻♂️😲 The authors harass not just the same actor repeatedly, but several of the actors. The cast knows and yet they can't say anything about it if they want to keep their jobs. 😠 So damn unfair.
Thank you for speaking about it! This issue has to be brought up constantly so 'Be on Cloud' (company behind KP) would know viewers remember everything and are not ok with these writers being around any of cast members. Majority of people are absolutely fine not getting KP s2 if it means not working with its writers. And luckily MileApo are having new project together, which doesn't involve KP's writers. So we definitely have what to look for.

The authors are disgusting. They had trouble with filmania, BOC saved their ass. Now they took advantage of everything. As much as i love to have a S2, it really is unnecessary if they treat their talents like this. BOC can have more projects that aint related to this two, im good. Cant wait for their new and future projects. ❤️
I'm completely speechless about this. It's really hard for me to wrap my head around. I don't understand how two writers can behave this way. Can have this level of audacity. It's one thing to have an author prey on a specific actor in a series, but the fact that TWO writers had the motivation to prey on MULTIPLE cast members while not only having zero conscious about it but also having no fear of consequences is mind boggling to me. The worst part is it's not only a problem for this show. It's an industry problem. I want consequences for them and them to be made an example of.

I totally agree…BUT, I have some friends who are Thai and they said kids always massage their parents and grandparents and when I expressed shock at the barcode video, they seemed confused as to why it was upsetting.
@@alexschalk5439 that’s common in Thailand, Samoa, and I rubbed my elders feet as a kid and I’m from Puerto Rico. The problem is they are not family but boss & employee massaging is not in his job description. Since he is a child he shouldn’t be asked or pressured into that by anyone regardless.

No there is no union. the culture in Thailand is much different than the western countries.
I always thought the fan service bl shows does were too much like we can tell the casts are done with it. The character and they are two different people, authors and whoever does these shit should respect their boundaries.
EXACTLYYY!!! We don't see this fanservice being done for the straight couple stories so I don't see why the gay couples need to have it done. But sadly Thai BL industry is based on the bad yaoi tropes present in the Thai novels these shows are adapted from which are inspired by Japanese yaoi stories. Hence the whole yaoi mindset of the target 'female' audience is really what drives the studios who create these shows and think that it will sell better if they pair the real life actors too. smh This happens often in kpop boy bands too and some girl bands too which is really stupid.
thank you for sharing this, seems that jeff stood up for barcode as much as he could, he did it in a stage appearance too. I really hope this stops and the poor actors are not made to smile thru it.
Mile is such a gem of a person. He is so rich that he can take them all to court and win too. If he is still giving them a chance , then they should realise why and just stop whatever they are doing. What exactly has fans done except get really excited about season 2? Fans will watch season 2 by the thousands and say nothing except how cute these guys are and how they are all sure that they are all in relationships in real life. Part of the biggest issue in this industry is immature crazed fans who believe all that they read and make up their own fantasies about these men who happen to work as actors....what you see is acting. The actors fuel this nonsense for money. Money for sex is the oldest profession on the planet....and there are many platforms for pay.
As an author myself, this is really not right. I feel ashame seeing this behavior, especially after I just finished the show. Like I do understand the excitement from the author seeing their characters alive and "fan-girling" moment with the cast. But please they need to be professional with it. This is really concerning.
It's terrible that the cast worked under those conditions, I hope the Thai media companies look at the Me Too movement and realize that this behavior is not good and do something about it.
Watching this made the hairs stand up at the back of my neck, the cringe vibe the two writers give off is so creepy. My heart goes out to the cast for enduring the abuse of power these two weild over them.
I've read a few chapters of the novel and couldn't even sit through it because of all the sexual harrasment and assualt, I found it disgusting. But I watched the series first, so I didn't expect all that to happen in the novel. Then I read that the writers were upset because the producers weren't going by the novel(aka sexual assualt), which I'm glad they didn't. The writers seem to romanticize sexual abuse and I wouldn't be surprised if they harassed the actors, I hope if the actors were getting harassed that they'll stand up for themselves. They don't deserve to be uncomfortable in their workplace, if that means we don't get a season two then oh well. I'd rather the actors' be comfortable and safe in their work place environment.

Someone said it , I too tried to read novel at first and quit reading it knowing it's not for me , however series turned out different a d I loved it. Now I am knowing nature of author , I understand why I can't.
I genuinely felt sick when I started seeing these clips popping up on twitter and discovered all that had happened with the casts. Idk if you’ve seen some of the IG stories and lives the two authors made after fans started calling them out, but it just proved that they have no morals or professionalism or any intentions to change for the better.
I feel so bad for the cast I hope they get a better staff team, and get rid of these disgusting people, the cast deserves the world for putting up with these fools this is so wrong especially when some of these cast members are so young but age doesn’t matter here theyre ALL being mentally distraught and drained. i think this is why perth was kxlled off the show in such a brutal way. in the filmania version it looked like his character had a bigger part. but the BOC version, for him to be a villain was an odd choice. thank you for this video because i'd love a season 2 but not if these people are writing it.
actually, both Ken and Mek are antagonists, but Perth's current role as Ken is better bc he had more screentime and being a villain showed off his skills as an actor. Ken is the alter ego of Big, and since Big died in the novel so will Ken.

I have to admit the clips from the world tour for KinnPorsche that are on YT, seemed forcibly salacious to me, but I ultimately chalked it up to the cast having fun with it at the time. It's only till now I'm finding out about their mistreatment, and it makes things make a lot more sense being who took part in marketing and PR. All of the actors seem like wonderful fun-loving guys, and they're so talented. I truly hope things get better and those digusting offenders get dealt with.
The authors do not, as far as I know, have anything to do with the world tour and its content.
Having read the original series and knowing a little on how the BL industry "works" in Thailand, im not surprised at all these type of behaviours being allowed in the set. The actors are submitted to so much on every front its appalling... I feel sorry for them because they are the face of that show. Without them there would be no series and the novel would be one more among so many others. To be treated as a personal playground for twisted fantasies is disgusting...
It's really disturbing that these people have no boundaries and abuse like this. But I'm not surprised. I'm frightened by the way some series portray abuse, yet the fans see this abuse as love. Unforgotten Night is such a series. Kamol is a murdering, drug running, people trafficing (he admits to this in episode 8 1/4), narcissistic control freak who constantly abuses Kim and controls him with manipulation and threat. Sadly, the fans think this man is caring, loving and the model of what a good boyfriend should be. It really scares me that this is the case. I'm screaming across the comments that this is an abusive, toxic relationship and that CONTROL IS NOT CARE, ABUSE IS NOT LOVE. its crazy how many people don't see this. It is no wonder these writers can get away with this abuse if fans think its OK in a script.
I think it's important to separate that it is okay to have these kinds of fantasies. What is not is minors consuming this kind of content, without the enough media comprehension skills to understand that this is fantasy, not something you should romanticize/want to experience in real life. But you are absolutely right, and it is terrifying to experience the fandom attitudes towards some aspects of the show.

Media overall portray very toxic relationships and label them as “perfect” and “peak of romance”. Which is why real life relationships are as toxic as they are and why more and more people decide to stay single.

I’m am beyond saddened to find out something like this was happening behind the scenes. I fell in love with the actors over the last year and a half when they first released the trailer. So to find out how they were treated by the authors truly sickens me. Like most (if not all) of us here just wish for the health ,safety , and happyness of all the cast members. So I would NOT want a season 2 if they continue to be a part of it. THANK YOU for bringing this to my attention and shining a light on this issue. Just bc they chose the cast doesn't mean they have control over the actors. And the writers shouldn't even matter act this point bc the show is totally different from the book. And I'm not gonna deny that I was excited for the possibility of season 2. Bc most BL dramas don't get season 2, so, I was so happy to hear that there might be a season 2. I thought I was being paranoid for feeling uncomfortable about their interaction with the casts. Also the fan comment about barcode and Jeff sometimes also make me uncomfortable. There are clip that Barcode was asked whether he had hot scene with Jeff and some fan comment was like 'Jeff: pls not now, next year' as a joke. I even saw some comments how they looking forward to their hot scene next year, I-. The casts are lovely they don't deserve those, well no one does.
These writers definitely should NOT be around the cast that much. And they are not even that good at writing.

I started the serie and the beginning was fun but then the more episodes I was watching the more bothered I became with some scenes so I have not finished it yet.

I feel that apart from the likely trauma they have caused, they are incredibly stupid to have behaved in such a way. I’m absolutely sure that BOC will be aware that they have been in an extremely privileged position with the show being picked up by iQiyi, who are now financially backing projects in China, Thailand and South Korea. If they’ve got any sense BOC will ditch them before they suffer any further losses or embarrassment, not to mention sitting back and watching these young performers being victimised on their watch.

I'm really behind on all this news. I'm very thankful to you for posting this and bringing me up to date. Gosh this really made me sick to my stomach to watch. I myself had a touchy boss at one time and quit after a month of his BS but I'm not an actor so I just got another job. The pressure on that set was absolutely horrible I can't imagine the stress. I'll stop now it's clear how upsetting this has made me. Why Build? was he liked by too many fans and they wanted to bring him down cause he wouldn't bow to them anymore? They need to be punished. Now do we wonder about other series and those actors? So sad they bring happiness to us and behind the scenes they are so unhappy. Thanks again for this.

I'm new to kp and I found out abt the drama series before the novel. So I didn't know how messed up the original version is. The improvements BOC made to the series made it turned out to be a masterpiece. I'm truly invested in it and have been so eager for season two. But really, from what I've learnt recently abt the original novel and the true colours of the authors, I am horrified and disgusted. I really want season two but the safety and wellbeing of the actors take priority. If it means cancelling season two all together just to make sure the actors don't get harassed by those messed up people again then so be it. Plus, from what I've found out recently, kp S2 could turn out so messed up if BOC decided to follow the novel and that would ruin literally EVERYTHING. Judging by the authors recent behaviours to the actors, s2 could very well include creepy tropes that should've never been romanticise. Your writing reflects your personality after all. I just hate how everything feels ruined bc the authors are just messed up ppl and no one's doing anything to take action.
Sexual harassment is rife in every country’s entertainment industry. This is what the #MeToo movement is about in the US. And the stories of actor (and crew) harassment and toxic workplace stories keep coming. We need to keep shining a spotlight on this and, as consumers of entertainment, demand change.
I am sorry to say this, but the fans are a hug part of the harassing, abusing, and toxic LGBQ environment, calling actors tops and bottoms, also in their private relationship demanding being top and bottoms, playing couples. They cannot have a relationship with anyone else in public as their filming partner. The whole industry is rotten, and sick, including the audience.
