it's amazing too, prior to Mertz we were lucky just to get a grade 80 4* recruit at QB, most of our QB's were either 3* guys or transfers like Russel Wilson. Most of our highly ranked prospects are either O-line, or front 7 guys. We struggle to find good WR's and CB's, and it literally doesn't matter who we recruit at RB, yet look at the results. What's even more amazing is that the Badgers have so many alumni in the NFL, including the Watts where JJ was a 2 star TE recruit who went to Central Michigan at first before transferring to WI.
Wisconsin has a culture for sure. Whether its football or basketball, they do it there way and know exactly who they are. Id even say they have the best coaching staff and player development in the entire country.

Michigan was never a elite program like Alabama Clemson LSU Ohio state etc. There a good program tier 2 talent with a elite brand only difference between Michigan football now vs back then was they were beating Ohio state and winning a average bowl game or playing for a rose bowl

That second INT was 100% on MIlton. BUT....That first INT he threw was actually a very very good pass on the run. Tightly thrown ball to only a spot his TE could catch it. Was it the safest bet? Not really. But that's on the TE for using his pads to catch the ball instead of his hands.
What I love about college football is that there is no mercy. They keep playing and trying to score all the way to the end of the game. In the NFL, they'll kneel the ball with 4 minutes left on the clock if they were up by this much. I HATE that.

Might as well forfeit The Game this year. Just a really bad Michigan team. Not many losing seasons in the history of the program, but this season is likely to be one of them.
I think we need to count this season as a wash and give harbaugh one or two more years before we make a judgement call. Fire Don Brown, hire a new DC and give the new DC and Gattis' offense to get in sync. And in 2-3 years things still havent changed then maybe look at canning harbaugh. The Minnesota game was a bit of an outlier. Outside of that game, we have the refs costing us the rivarlry game in Miltons second start ever with like 4 fans in the audience, then games against 2 very good looking top 15 teams. I think in out hearts we all knew this was a rebuilding gaining experience kinda year (especially because Covid) and in our heads we were expecting to go win the big 10 and make the playoff. And we just arent there rn, although to me we have the potential (if we get a new DC who knows how to adjust and isnt also extremely stubborn against adjusting.. notice how I hear the announcers in every single freaking game talking about crossing routes working well against the Michigan defense😡). We were 1 play away from a potential playoff birth in 2016. Give this team a couple years (given how young and inexperience we are) and see if maybe that one play doesnt go our way in 2021 or 2022.

It certainly seems that Stalions was violating NCAA rules, and Michigan will likely get punished (as it probably should), but that's not why Michigan won the natty this year. Fire Don Brown, hire a new DC and give the new DC and Gattis' offense to get in sync. And in 2-3 years things still havent changed then maybe look at canning harbaugh. The Minnesota game was a bit of an outlier. Outside of that game, we have the refs costing us the rivarlry game in Miltons second start ever with like 4 fans in the audience, then games against 2 very good looking top 15 teams. I think in out hearts we all knew this was a rebuilding gaining experience kinda year (especially because Covid) and in our heads we were expecting to go win the big 10 and make the playoff. And we just arent there rn, although to me we have the potential (if we get a new DC who knows how to adjust and isnt also extremely stubborn against adjusting.. notice how I hear the announcers in every single freaking game talking about crossing routes working well against the Michigan defense😡). We were 1 play away from a potential playoff birth in 2016. Give this team a couple years (given how young and inexperience we are) and see if maybe that one play doesnt go our way in 2021 or 2022.
@Fred Garvin I agree. They definitely looked like they had the better Talent, tougher team and better coaching last night. But Im not so sure they have "dominated" the last 10 years. Its been pretty back and forth in terms of blowout wins between the 2 since 2010. Excluding the 14-7 result in 2016

If Michigan only won because of cheating, then how come they were able to win at Penn State (no head coach), against 11-0 Ohio State (no head coach), against the greatest coach of all time and a team with a LOT more 5 stars (Bama), and against 14-0 Washington who beat Oregon twice, all AFTER Stalions was no longer with the program??? It certainly seems that Stalions was violating NCAA rules, and Michigan will likely get punished (as it probably should), but that's not why Michigan won the natty this year. Sending 18 guys to the combine probably has more to do with it.
