I feel really bad for Rize I used to think she was just evil but her character is more complex that that, it's interesting to see her development through-out the manga.
Through flashbacks we got to see more to her, but it still wasn't much. I wish her character was developed fully. She wasn't evil, but she (in my opinion) wasn't a good person, but still. She didn't deserve what she went through at Aogiri Tree then again by the hands of Kanou and Furuta.
I want Rize back. Every main hero or villain got their power from her. She's the main protagonist, antagonist etc. Why aren't gifted people ever allowed to reach their potential? Imagine what the story would've been if Rize was free
I really think that everyone, regardless of whether they've read the manga or not should watch your videos because you explain everything in great detail which might get missed out or misinterpreted in the manga (and well, the anime doesn't even have half the scenes.) I'm dissapointed for the lack of exposition furuta could have told to Kaneki in his deathbet. He could atleast explain the reason he built dragon (immorality, because of the half lifespan thing) and tell kaneki that by killing dragon he would also kill his dream or sth. The build up was just so good and it amounted to absolute nothing just convoluted dots that you have to connect. So much potential..
I feel like Rize is not being reborn, but was more like a mother giving birth to the dragon orphans. Few moments in manga that give me that idea. 1. Furuta said he wanted to destroy everything. He did hold grudge towards Rize who completely forgot about him after he helped her escaped. And his treatment to Rize afterwards doesn't look like he's reviving her. 2. Furuta was capturing Rize twice to harvest her. Doesn't look like act of love that he want to make her reborn and then live happily together 3. Furuta said he wanted to make babies with Rize 101 Dalmatians style, hence the Oggai and dragon orphans.. 4. The dragon orphan lair is directly underneath Rize, sort of like the movie Godzilla, the female monster lay her eggs.. So i got the feel that Rize was the mother. I think Kaneki is the dragon that Furuta mean. He was surprised to see kaneki alive, he probably think his way of destroy the world is giving the world a dragon. So overall i don't feel like Rize is being reborn, but more like being used as a tool, again. My pov...

An issue I have with Tokyo ghoul is we never saw how strong Rize was we only hear about it, I wish we at least had a flash back bc explaining Kanekis strength from Rize doesn’t feel earned
The way I view Dragon, to try to explain its functions is that Dragon is like a giant ghoul, the dragon orphans are like rc-cells and each "nucleus" is like a kakuhou.
I truly feel so sorry for Rize. I hope she was happy when Kaneki killed her. If they had shed a tear right before Kaneki killed her, I think I would have started crying (or if she looked at him and smiled.)
Yeah she would of been, it's interesting as Kaneki never knew Rize - He imagined this part of hr that started out manipulating and torturing him which further developed into almost being a person he could talk too - She was after all a part of himself both mentally and physically - This also means he imagined her being happy in the end - but from what we seen she would have been happy to die due to the immense pain and prior torture she under-went and the insanity of not eating.
All kaneki needed to do was get some more steel beams. (But in all honesty I’m pretty sure that there was a point where someone said that some ghouls are allergic to plastic and metal.)

The reborn Rize may have had the memories of the previous Rize but she wasn't actually her, just a "clone" (probably the best analogy) who had the memories of Rize.
It would have been thee Rize - Her cells were in the sac - So she would have been normal the only difference is she would have had extremely more potent cells mixed with the RC cells of Eto, Yamori etc all the ghouls Kaneki cannibalized.

Thing that I still don't understand is how Furuta managed to get Rize from the container where Yomo left her into the CCG lab... and why Furuta needed to make Rize all over again from Dragon if he already had her? Maybe her body was weak, she couldn't live or heal properly and she was so mentally unstable that Furuta didn't want to live with that Rize... the Rize who used him to run away.... maybe he wanted to live with his own version of Rize... or he wanted Rize to rise from that state of weakness and give her all the power and be that immortal being. Then again... Did Furuta really want to kill all the ghouls? And destroy the world? I mean Dragon wasn't only a birthing tool that will benefit Furuta to make Rize, it was a cross-over between the fruit of Kahno's experimentations (because he wanted to bring his mother back to life as he refused to do nothing about the repeated cycle of life and death) and Furuta's intention to destroy everything. in one of the last internal dialogues between kenecki and rize is is eluded to she said something like they cut her into many pieces leaving nothing behind. and the ogi were all devoured and she reassembled through the dragon. if i recalled that right.

Who said there was only one original ghoul, it could be that a few humans just evolved into ghouls , but were different species but since they lived in the same environment , there evolutions were similar and when they bred , they created new kagunes etc so it could be that the original ghouls were weaker or it could be that they were stronger. Also , if there were only one original ghoul, that ghoul would've had to breed together with a human so their offspring(s) would've been less pure than the original one.
