Any person with good character who demonstrates decent proficiency in Vietnamese language and has a job/ biz in Vietnam also have multiple pathways to obtain Vietnamese citizenship. In that sense, Vietnam's immigration system is as liberal as the Canadian system.

But the pandemic doesn’t seem to make it possible. So we’re thinking coming back after Christmas of 2021. @@duongglobalbusinessconsulting I agree. I took a bus from Saigon to Da Lat. I think it was something around 8 hours. Flying isn't expensive and it's much cheaper than one might think. Travel light -- carry-on bags only if you can do that; it really frees you up quite a bit. If you really plan on visiting all those places, two weeks is barely enough time to do it all even if you fly to all your destinations.
I was told by the Vn Embassy in DC that I couldn't because I wasn't Vn even though my wife is Vn and we have two daughters. I already have a 5 yr visa exemption.

I am highly skeptical about your claims about non Vietnamese being eligible for Vietnam Passport in "easy way". He is the expert but this is what I know. The first option will automatically rule out any person of non Vietnamese origin. Second option only entitles you to a resident visa valid for 5 years if you are married to a Vietnamese national. There are a whole list of requirements after that to become a naturalized Vietnamese citizen. Some of them include ,, living in VN for 5 years, learning Vietnamese and even changing your name along with whole lot of other things .
What you mentioned are the conditions imposed under other ways of getting the Vietnam passport through merit and contribution to the government deemed as national interest but those are very difficult to achieve. Hence, not the purpose of this video.

Great video, however from 4:19-4:36, I would recommend rephrasing that section. It definitely comes off as misogynistic and in poor taste, very bad framing of the sentences. For Viet Kieu, getting Vietnamese citizenship is easy. But having it can prevent your embassy from protecting you if getting into any trouble with local authorities. :-(

We suggest you to allow more time. Traveling to Da Lat from Saigon by car for example take quite a long time. Two weeks would be better.

Legally the US does not recognize multiple citizenships.

When you are in USA you are only considered American by the us govt. you can legally be a dual citizen but the US won’t recognize it if you are in USA

You can't start applying for the Vietnam passport before getting legally married, as marriage is the main requirement.

I am highly skeptical about your claims about non Vietnamese being eligible for Vietnam Passport in "easy way". He is the expert but this is what I know. The first option will automatically rule out any person of non Vietnamese origin. Second option only entitles you to a resident visa valid for 5 years if you are married to a Vietnamese national. There are a whole list of requirements after that to become a naturalized Vietnamese citizen. Some of them include ,, living in VN for 5 years, learning Vietnamese and even changing your name along with whole lot of other things .
What you mentioned are the conditions imposed under other ways of getting the Vietnam passport through merit and contribution to the government deemed as national interest but those are very difficult to achieve. Hence, not the purpose of this video.

Your parents need to get the VN passport first and then you can get it or you need to be born in VN .

Great video, however from 4:19-4:36, I would recommend rephrasing that section. It definitely comes off as misogynistic and in poor taste, very bad framing of the sentences. For Viet Kieu, getting Vietnamese citizenship is easy. But having it can prevent your embassy from protecting you if getting into any trouble with local authorities. :-(
You can come in under a (U.S.) passport and use the Vietnamese citizenship for other matters, so you can get the best of both worlds.

The EB-5 and golden visa are citizenship by investment programs. The Vietnam passport is NOT. We don’t make any direct comparison. Just giving costs. We thought we were quite clear about that in our video. If not, there is always the rewind button to watch it again.
