- Finally! We got our baby horses, Lakota and Rain playing in the pasture! Lakota is about 2 weeks old and rain is getting close to 4 weeks old.

Follow along with our family as we share our life events while living on our 168 acre homestead, farm and stables!
We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep, goats and mini cattle!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.

They’re adorable, I don’t know how you get anything done around the homestead I’d be sitting just watching them all day. It looks just beautiful & that birdsong is so pretty.

Aww :-(😢 I wish that I could hear the birds!! My ears aren't too good at hearing birds 😢 I can imagine them chirping! What a beautiful sound and a beautiful view watching them!!😂❤
You can try turning up the volume when watching this video or check if your ears need cleaning.
If those are not the problem then go to the doctor for hearing aids.

It's amazing that the babies are two weeks apart in age, yet basically the same size!
At this time, Lakota is HUGE and towers over rain and the other foals!

As adults, they rarely do. Their body weight is hard on their internal organs.
I live in the city now and I miss horses...I miss riding, I miss grooming them and mucking out stalls and the smell of horses. Thank you for your videos, I kind of get to visit, and seeing them play in the pasture...gives me *life!* 😏🐎🐎🐎🐎
Feeling this hard right now, I moved to the big metropolis 4 hours away from my itty bitty hometown, and far far away from any cattle and horses and goats and chickens and I miss them all so much, what I wouldn't give to leave corporate America forever and just go ride on the trails 😭
@@duetopersonalreasonsaaaaaa Same! I miss everything, even the smell of manure! 😂 reminds me of mucking out stalls...and cleaning tack. Us kids worked hard back then, and it felt good. We had no devices to distract us. We had good manners. If you didn't a grownup might go upside your head. 😏 I feel sorry for kids today. What a wicked world for them...if I were to win the lottery, I would get some property, and rescue horses and young people. Out in the country, where no drug dealer would dare go. Let them work with the horses, and chickens, milk the nanny goat. I miss those days. And I'm afraid...not really afraid, but aware that these are the last of days. We're at that place, again, where we've blown it, big time. Destroying ourselves and each other..😞

Technically speaking here that Colt is a miniature horse.
There's a good difference between a baby and a miniature horse.

Lakota certainly plays his role as pesky, younger, stable-brother well. So cute to see the control Rain has when she kicks at him! They are both adorable; if I had to pick one, I think the filly. Lakota, not gelded; I think will take someone who handles stallions well, not me thanks!!
I watched this all the way through it's got to be the closest to Paradise a little foal could have in their start in life. And the bird song was absolutely stunning! ❤

I wanted you to know I had surgery on the 4th with some major complications turning a 2 day stay into an 8 day stay. I watched this video several times, especially at night when my pain was high and I couldn’t sleep. The views AND the sounds were incredibly relaxing. Lakota reminds me of me when I wake up. 😂 They are so darn cute when they play. I loved the way, in the beginning, Lakota startled Rain when she came up behind him and made him jump, lol.
