As a kid I always wanted it to choose the eye but it never did. I was always disappointed but I loved this show. The handymen always creeped me out for some reason though.

I believe they started using 'the eye' in the later series as a spot the difference page. For me I always wanted to see it land on 'the leg' 😊

At the end, those were the two main on screen continuity announcers of CITV at the time: Danielle Nicholls and Stephen Mulhern, the latter of which has become famous on all sorts of programmes for ITV, including Deal or No Deal, Britain's Got More Talent, now ended, and will soon begin a new series of You Bet, which is known in the US, Wanna Bet, with Ant and Dec, hosts of Britain's Got Talent and is better known in Germany and Austria as Wetten Dass. The joke at the end was them mimicking the laughing, before the comic book frame flew off screen and they returned back to using speech. There was another copy of this episode with that extended continuity link.

Well that's weird, was watching this thinking "Is that the same actress playing Daisy as the previous episode?"
Yes, yes it was, but a quick Google revealed apparently there WAS a second actress who took over from series 9!

The Zzzap Christmas episodes are basically compilation episodes from the series, with Christmassy continuity scenes. Looking forward to seeing you react to those in December!
Please also react to the Christmas special of Fun House (UK) from 1997!
P.S. Earlier episodes of Zzzap had a shady, faceless character called Tricky Dicky, who did challenges for kids. He was much more nightmare fuel than Daisy is!

Smart Arty seems very reminiscent of one of Kenny Everett's characters from his early 80s show.

Watching Daisy's segment is much different as an adult. As a kid it's tense, because you're wondering 'will someone win this time?', but now it's a giveaway when the panel appears reading "But Then". They seemed to catch on to that, because some episodes have "Last One" instead, so it's still a surprise. Having watched the Series 1 filming tape, it's also less tense as an adult because in some episodes you wonder if you're watching a real challenge or if they're just acting and producer/director Neil told them to pretend to screw it up for comic (geddit?) effect.
It's funny you mentioned Mr. Blobby, since Cuthbert is basically Mr. Bean with Mr. Blobby's colour scheme. Cuthbert once got a spin off special called Cuthbert's Diary, which was basically a clip show, several of his segments all in a row, each one with a day of the week attached. It's jarring to hear his usual goofy voice, which is actually just Neil making silly noises, then hearing his actor Richard Thwaites narrate in between, with his much deeper voice. If you found the show creepy on its own, well great, it just got worse! 😅
