Just checking in to say that doing the Guitar Drumming excercise makes me way more aware of my rhythmic options and injects a lot of feeling into my playing. Thanks

Hey I recently watched “How To Use Basic CAGED To Solo Effortlessly Over Chord Changes” and it was game changing! Seeing chords within the g shaped scale has helped me target chord tones as well as quickly play chords after licks. Would you be able to do a part 2 where you show the mini chords in all 5 caged positions?
I'm glad you enjoyed that one. That would be a much longer video, but definitely something I can do. If I feel like there's enough interest in a longer video on that topic, I'll make it.
I'm so bad with rhythms, definitely struggling with it. I had to close my eyes and start with hitting every beat at 200bpm then every other. Rhythm/timing is a huge struggle for me so i think this exercise will be a daily must for me now. Also can't count and play at the same time get so confused haha. Great videos that are super helpful. Thanks
The trick is to always play with a metronome and practice counting out loud. There is a book drummers swear by called Progressive Steps to Syncopation by Ted Reed. It might be worth getting that book, a practice pad, and some drum sticks. Playing through the simple early exercises in that book(while counting out loud with a metronome)completely changed how I heard and understood time. It took about six months, but once I trained that aspect of my nervous system, it never left… even during periods where I wasn’t playing or practicing music.
I self taught while homeless and came out with a weird style. I basically just play basic chords but a melody also comes out on top of it. No idea what my hands are doing, most of the lessons I've looked up more recently seem to just go over my head

Can you please do a short video on how to rightly fix acoustic guitar strings. thanks
@ you can’t really “fix” strings. Are you wanting to restring your acoustic?
@@andrewclarkeguitarWhat I really meant was putting new acoustic strings. Thanks.
Kind of went from very basic to advanced.

I'll do more for sure! And I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying the play-alongs on Guitareo. I had a great time doing them.

Good stuff! I do this constantly. My wrist always gets stiff from working with a mouse.
this was great but can anyone recommend videos like this but that also give chords progressions to practice as well>?
You know when the windshield wipers match time with the music for a while?
Hahaha, that's the best when that happens.

I'll check it out! Math Rock isn't really something I'm into. But if I see something worth making a video on I'll do it. Cheers!
analog case - an oversize case for all guitars
Anyone else found the 200bpm the hardest??? Lol
I was born with good rythem timing, i found that out when i was learning singing during primary school before i play guitar
