Google can't properly do either. Can't feel any difference from A13. Battery life - crap, scrolling in apps - crap, camera - noise problems (I'm not even mentioning video). And that new Pixel is nothing really new, except a few small things and bigger price. Welcome to the world of Google products.
I truly believe that the features are made to the new Pixel devices. B'coz Im using PIxel 6 and most of the features are not yet available after the update. A few customizations are there. Hope Google will bring some more changes in the upcoming security patches atleast (for the old pixel devices) !!!

I don't think you'll miss your shot because you had to wait one second to open the camera app. However you might certainly miss your shot if you accidentally touched the wrong app icon on the lock screen and opened the wrong app, then had to go back and open the camera app instead. That would definitely take more than one second.

I'm disappointed that they did nothing for the chat bubbles. They got rid of the Call Bubble, which was objectively better for functionality as well as accessibility, and replaced it with a stupid Call Chip that does nothing.
@@lloydpbabu you had the option to hide it. The removal of the feature took away the choice. The bubble was always easy to notice, easy to access and easier to dismiss.
@@musicac90 I mean, the notification was always present in the notification shade, the exact location of the current Call Chip anyway... so, you had both options. Regarding the "toyish" comment, that's a personal preference but you could turn off Bubbles in the settings so 🤷🏻♂️.
I don't know if its only me but after my pixel 5 got android 14 its 90hz now actually feels like 90 instead of the 60hz feeling (i turned on full 90hz option in the dev settings).

It's funny that Android was touted to be the customization king, but a lot of their Lockscreen implementation is really copying and following how Apple has done theirs. How can the founder of customization bow down and take inspiration from Apple???? What has happened to Android that they have no backbone left?
Great changes IMO, I really didn't like the 13, has so many flaws and so many emptiness, although I understand the idea behind it was easy and clean usability, but needed so much polishing, now OS 14 looks like what 13 shoula have been, one of the most excited about is the lock screen customization and auto login without enter key, also separating ring volume and notification volume

Phenomenal battery time all around for my Pixel 7a. Night an day! And it is so butter smooth and responsive too. It's like I got a totally new phone now!
How much did battery change? I'm still testing mine... before updating, in the last few weeks battery had become much worse than when I bought it in June... now it seems slightly better but I'm still checking
@@pietrogirgenti367 As I said it is night and day. For me it mostly last more than a day on full charge. Before the update I often just had to charge it early afternoon. It feels like double battery life to me. Even the "standby" drains very little.

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PIXEL PRO 7. You will want to throw it through the wall. Screen goes black and cannot have any info on lock screen. You get blacked out screen when you try to answer phone calls. Something weird is happening with auto brightness just randomly turning on and off. You will also lose the ability to access most of the developers options. Volume is way lower now too. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still no option to reduce or remove the round corners everywhere. The UI still looks horrendous. Last acceptable version was Android 11. After that it's all trash. :( We should be able to keep the look of the 10 or 11 UI.
What really sucks about OS updates? Is that some programs do not update for up to 6 months to be compatible with the new operating system?. My libre 2 glucose monitoring patch that I have to scan will not be compatible with Android 14 until after March 2024. So if I upgrade to Android 14, I will no longer be able to monitor my blood sugar with my phone!

All nice but I have some annoying behaviors I want to have fixed. First is the wi-fi selections. Servers vary in strength and their selection position changes so fast I have to chase the wi-fi channel I need. Any changes here? Also I love always-on screen with my (custom) pics. This has been reduced to 10 seconds which is not only silly but outright stupid. Can we get always-on pictures back? Important and nice if there are two phones on the family table.

My back gesture is still functioning the same way as 13. When I swipe back it has a new back arrow icon but i don't see any previous pages I visited to predict what page I'll be going back too. Isn't that what predictive back is supposed to be? It just goes back to my previous page without a preview like android 13

Update stinks. Pixel 7 pro and almost nothing works. Lock screen keeps changing back to how I had it on 13 and android system intelligence crashes every 5 seconds.
I just updated and my wallpaper on my home screen appears black. I've tried changing it, restarting the phone. I use nova launcher so I tried switching back to pixel launcher but no luck. Idk what to do. My lock screen wallpaper can be changed and is visible but home screen remains black. It shows that it changes in the settings but not actually on the home screen

Now that I've seen all these fancy new features, I plan to turn them all OFF to conserve battery life. Animated backgrounds, high refresh rates and screen transitions never made much sense on a portable device, anyway.

My google pixel 6 pro is a beast of a mobile phone,it does everything a mobile phone should do and a lot lot more,smooth video and game playing plus stereo speakers and large flawless curved screen also not to mention long battery life.

The tap-to-open-clock from the quick settings update is so much more convenient. Similar to how it is on OnePlus devices (I missed that).

Two things to implement in Android:
1. Clone apps
2. Floating window like other operator
Correct me if I'm wrong, but floating window is present in pixel, you have to enable it in developer settings.

predictive back don't work on my pixel 7 😌😌 - I even enablet it from Developer settings, but still don't work.

Why on earth would they change the lock screen shortcuts from a single quick press to now having to press and hold??? that seems like a downgrade to me
