Hey i have a partybox 200, when i plug it in, power light turns on for about 3 seconds and then shuts off, no power after that until i unplug the power cable and plug it back it, then will do the same thing again.. any recommendations? Thank you!
Hey..greetings from Dallas tx. USA I have the exact same speaker that I just bought used. It is like new condition but totally dead. No power no lights nothing. Haven't opened it yet but your directions on where the screws are r a big help I'll keep you up to date.thanks for your great directions.mike retz
Just keep in mind that these power supplies are high-frequency ones and are overheating on top of that. They are not built to last. Lack of active cooling like a fan, plus a high frequency might make them to last only about a year or two. Depends on your usage ;). You can contact me to fix the power supply for you after. @@screen-protectorBad news, after about a year with not much use the 100 behaves like it has life on its own. I turn it off and about a minute later turn on by itself. Then about an hour it turns off and after a minute or two it turns back on again. Continues like that until battery dies.. Looked for some troubleshooting in the internet and it looks is some damage in the battery... I'm very dissaapointed on JBL😢
@@screen-protectorI'm willing to open the thing and replace the battery, but I don't know if the battery is the problem. Buy a battery without knowing if it's the problem... Thoughts?
Hi brother……my speaker turns on when pressing the power button for long…it only turns on when plugged in but when I remove the charger after charging whole day and I turn it on it will only run for a 5 to 8 mins then turns back off
Hi, that means that either your battery is almost dead, or there's a further issue and it's better to take it to an expert. Otherwise it can kill you even, so, if you don't wanna risk it, ask someone for a help.
Hey dude. Ive got the same partybox just came. I got the screws out. 3 were hidden! Thanks for your great directions. ! Anyway i have the same trouble. Power supply is dead. No output.. fuse good .voltage up to first transformer.. 110vac.im in the usa. You directions are great on your videos and really like your troubleshooting techniques. Ill let you know future progrress! Hope its not one of the transformers! Im a very bad rewinder!🤣🤣. Im looking at the power supply and maybe tomorro ill get around to do further testing. Thanks.. I like your solution with the 19volt supply with the computer power supply! I think the voltage at the output connector is about 42 volts. According to the schematic I obtained online . I'll try the MOSFET like you said. Thanks again .. have a great evening✌️✌️🚴🚴.
Hey brother.. i have partybox 300 it turns of immediately after turning on and before this problem it had no startup/shutoff sound and no sound at all.. lights work connect's to bluetoothm. Any suggestions
You'd have to disconnect it from the power, and disassemble it completely to first remove the battery connection. Leave it off for a good few minutes, and connect. Test it again. If won't help, you'll have to take it to electronics repair shop as this might be too advanced if you don't know electronics ;) in general.
Hello…having an issue with my Partybox 100, works perfectly when plugged in but instantly switches off when unplugged battery gauge shows full but can’t turn on without it being plugged….any solution on this?

Hey man, I just recently bought one off someone and it will turn on but once I turn it off it comes back on for a couple seconds and then off and then on again and repeats that until it dies. Something is also wrong with the Bluetooth it won’t connect or even show up in any Bluetooth options. Any idea on how to fix this? Thank you!

Hello, it's looking like the power issue. Did you try to charge the battery, or use another source to power it on instead of the main power supply, or the battery?
If takes ages for a full charge, there's an issue with the charger. I've got DELL laptop here, in them it's a charging IC most of the time. In your case, I'd try to charge the battery externally by using another charger or better bench power supply - if you know electronics. If you don't, you can find someone who does. I live in the UK, so can only serve customers from UK. Don't know where you live. As well, these power supplies in them are of a poor quality ;). You'll be better off with a used laptop power supply - branded one.
My party box 100 is getting on by itself and I switched it off and the same automatically gets happened it gettin on by itself what is happening I am using this like almost around a couple of months but don’t know what is happening help pls some one
You can either get it to someone who can fix it, or someone who can install an internal switch that can go outside and you can manually switch it on and off this way. But, without knowing where you stay and without diagnosing the fault, how you expect you to help? Especially if you'd fix electronics, you could do it yourself, and inside is mains power which can kill you, so how you expect us to help you?

I doubt that it's a transformer, I'd go for some MOSFET, diode or PWM controller. Thanks for kind words.

Are you able to diagnose electronics yourself? If not, you'll have to take it to someone who does. If you do, what did you check till now?
