    It would be interesting to hear about your time at Southampton. What it was like as a young pro not getting a chance then making the decision to go non league instead of to another pro club lower down. Your story is unique all around.

    He’s right. It’s game situations is what sets you apart. Nothing against doing cone drills, but they’re mostly there to improve technique. After all, cones don’t tackle

      There are some parts I agree in and some parts I don’t. During 2020 lock down, when I tell u i was shit. I was SHIT. Had no Idea how to play as a winger, no flair, technique etc. as I came across the cone drills on yt I practiced, did various drills and planed them. Now it’s a completely different. Im quick on the ball, able to do 1v1 and more agile. I have videos of me before and I can see a massive difference. Yes cone drills aren’t match realistic but they make u confident on the ball.

    As a a keeper I’ve found visualisation really useful. I’ve made saves in games that are almost identical to those that I had visualised in the past. Visualisation as well as analysis of footage can definitely help build muscle memory without any physical practice.

    If your a beginner I believe you need to do repetitive drills over cones to get the foot/ankle strength, coordination and feel of the ball on all areas of your feet. Drills need to be prescribed based on the current level and experience of the player. Before you teach algebra you need to have mastered addition and subtraction. So there is a place for those cone individual drills for certain players at certain times in their development.

    A lot of young players also need to know that just because they are not liked and fit into one coaches system doesn’t mean they wont in another. I have had times where I was playing in the first team week in week out, new manger came in and I was on the bench for most of the season. One coach loved the energy from the youth and gave them all the chance and another only wanted experienced players. TRUST YOUR ABILITY

      @@junaidkhalid3769 Right now, I train by myself. I’m looking for teams, but have gotta keep up with the academic part of my life as well, so been balancing those two together. Ive played nationals, in late 2018, then had end sem exams hitting in 2019, and 2020,2021 was covid all around, so I I kept training by myself ever since, played a few matches with teams, and now looking for clubs..

    I agree to some point but i still think the technical drills are vital to make you comfortble on the ball and good technique. Maybe it wont be game alike but it will better your qualites as a player wich makes you prepared to have the extra quality in games. Im prettys sure lots of players just got great teqniche they improve and try new skills and try things to bring to the top level

  • @sugarresin
    @sugarresin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I really liked the points you made around making sure the individual training session players are doing in their own time needs to be relevant and delivered as close to match pace as possible. Personally I do really like the ball mastery stuff but critically, it has to be dynamic. So I agree, there isn't too much relevance in linear dribbling practices through long lines of cones. If players want dynamic ball mastery programmes look up Saul Isaksson-Hurst one of the best technical player development consultants around at the moment. But love the channel Ryan!

    Ryan bro what u said about mentality and self discipline is so true. We are all human and when things are hard we all want to take it easy and give ourselves a break.
    When I’m playing and training I find it easy to do all the right things, but recently I got a minor quad strain and I realized that in 4 days I had stopped doing all the extra stuff I was previously. It’s all about keeping your mental clarity during these lows!💪🏼

    Hey Ryan!
    Very unique and useful content throughout your channel but more specifically in this video! I play in the highest Amateur league in Perth (5th division in Australian football), Western Australia and this sunday, we kickstart a promising season where the team's ambitions are to win the league and make it to the semi-professional level. I have learned a lot by just watching your channel and I'm very thankful for it; I am 20 right now and even though it's a bit late to go pro, I am still very confident I will make it happen in 2 years time.
    Just a question for you:
    Are you planning on pushing for the Iranian National Team for the upcoming World Cup? I know you probably had that at the back of your mind these years but now that you are in top form and your team is performing really well, and coincidentally, Iran and England are in the same group in World Cup and Teammelli is probably in need of a player with significant experience in british football and attires of a physical centre back to defend set pieces, would you think if Wycombe qualifies to championship this year, you will be able to wear the teammelli jersey in Qatar?

    Does any one agree with me that drills like toe touches and sole roles to dribbling cones benefit you once your younger, but around now they don’t. I’m actually a good player in my opinion and that’s all I did as a kid. Now I’m faster because I grew and my ball control is good. Beating players are easier.

    • @tafazolli
      @tafazolli  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi mate. Most of the drills I do are unopposed but they are still game like. E.g shooting without a keeper in goal, getting someone to chuck a ball up and heading, running at a mannequin and crossing.. list goes on obviously but they can all be seen in game and be done unopposed. Even the simplest drills like getting a ball out of your feet and practicing turning out - will transfer to the pitch

    Im about to have a tryout for fleetwood town academy. Only two spots are available 62 players. Do you have any advice for what I should focus on when playing (imma striker)? And what should i be saying to the coaches to make me stand out?
    Any advice is welcome!!!
    Thx in advance!

      I’d say just be yourself mate. You’ve got the trial because you’re good enough, don’t play within yourself, go out there and express yourself as you’ve only got one chance. If you make mistakes they’ll be watching to see how you react to them so don’t switch off if you give the ball away etc. Make repeated runs off the ball even if you don’t receive it and in the box think about double movements - run back to go front and vice versa 👍

    You’re class mate, I’ve been using the visualisation method, but I just need to improve on my self discipline and and the nutrition aspect and finding that line of consistency. Since watching you for a couple of months, I look up to you as I’m a 19 year old centre half and I am continuously being educated and couldn’t be more appreciative of your videos and you as a footballer. smashing it big man 🙌🏼

    Hi Ryan? It would be interesting to hear about your car? very nice car, looks like a Paykan; am I right?
    If you don't know what Paykan is, then ask your dad, he definitely knows the car.
