As a Duck alum, I think Deion has been good for college football because he increased the interest level in the sport. 25 million viewers watched Colorado's first three games.
The real fans were not stunned. We knew that Colorado's team is not on some levels yet. It is a feel good story , but it came down a few notches after this loss. I can easily tell the long time fans from the bandwagoners by how they talk. Real Colorado fans, they were nervous coming into the game. As they should be with how we've beat them around since they entered the conference. The new ones were always acting like this was going to be a win. A simple look at Colorado State playing them last week was enough to know that everything they did on both sides, we could do better. And we wouldn't get worn down after three quarters.

This is the most unbiased and fair take on Prime & Colorado on YT or any other media. Sanders has brought casual and new fans to/back to the sport who are unfamiliar with the game and culture. I think Oregon fans felt disrespect myself included because everybody in the national main stream media on ESPN and Fox Sports would talk about this game. Only about Colorado didn’t really talk about Oregon. The only time they talked about Oregon was saying how she was disrespectful the line, and that Colorado was going to win. And so we kind of felt disrespected by the media . I did get a lot of the hater comments before the game because I said it was gonna be 51-24 and the bench would be in by the fourth quarter, and they would get a couple touchdowns to make it look closer against the back ups. I agree with you on the Deion tax, but the media does have a part of play at least the national media. I really like your channel and other college football channels that actually will talk about the game and give a fair assessment. I wasn’t surprised that it was a blowout. I was surprised that Oregon made Colorado look like an FCS team. It was 42-0 they had 34 yards with six minutes in the third quarter when they started to put the backups in. Then it took a quarter against the back ups to get a touchdown for Colorado. The score doesn’t even show how dominant Oregon was. The real outrage was win after the game. The media was called on their bias and they faced ignorance and acted like no one picked Colorado to win when in the national media It was pretty popular.
Y’all ain’t getting media attention because you’re quite mediocre for a “Top 10” team. Lanning hasn’t done jack for Oregon relative to Deion at Colorado. He inherited a stacked team from Cristobal that Mario and past coaches had long built a strong athletic culture for going back decades. Deion on the other hand completely revitalized a dead program who surely would’ve failed even worse had he not come to Boulder. He’s instituted a new culture and laid the groundwork for successful recruiting for years to come. This is only year 1, no one is arguing that Oregon has better talent and size overall, but wait a few years and watch it change. Lanning says you don’t play for clicks, appearances, and flash but your 18,000 uniform variations say otherwise. Every team needs to be big and flashy on social media for recruiting, but you don’t need to be so two faced about it. Enjoy your first and only week of fame and media attention. And stay mad when Colorado’s ratings stay better the whole rest of the season no matter what their record ends up being. 😂😂😂😂

The Huskies game will be the real test for both teams. I think Oregon's pass defence has been honestly pretty good. I will be curious to see how effective Penix will be in that scenario. On the other side, Washington's defense has also come up huge in the last few games. It will be two great offenses and two strong defenses going at it. Will be a great stress test for both teams!

The case of an influx of casual CFB fans was spot on. So many NFL fans and non-football fans suddenly became Colorado fans overnight after the TCU win and thought the disparity of talent between CFB teams was negligible like it can be in the NFL. They learned very quickly that their understanding doesn't apply to CFB.
The Buffs will score on USC because they don’t have a defense. USC will score on Colorado since they have one of the worst defenses in the nation. USC will win but not as convincingly as Oregon did.

I don’t disagree that race plays a smaller role than some think or may benefit from stoking the flames for in the conversation around Dion Sanders, but as another commenter noted, society has been taking sides and this is a cultural/societal moment as much as it’s about football. We should all be open to considering all factors in a societal discussion, including race and the expectations folks have for how certain people in society “should” behave. It’s no secret that the race issue is just below the surface of a lot of public discussion at this stage, especially this one. Your analysis is solid, nonetheless, love the content.

Hopefully this makes sense: So people know, the term "Hater" or "Hating" actually comes from the term "Player Hater", it's urban slang. Basically to be a "hater" or "hating" you have to be impeding on someone's success. So back in the day guys that played the field or dealt with a lot of women were referred to as a "Player" or "Playa". EX: Say John is a playa and he is trying to get with Jane. There's a guy named Jim and he also wants to get with Jane and he knows about John's reputation of being a playa, so Jim informs Jane about John's reputation of being a Playa. At that moment Jim is being what's classified as being a "Playa Hater" and he would be looked at as "Hating" on John. Now for someone to truly be "Hating" on Coach Prime they would have to do something that impedes on his success. EX Say a group of coaches get together and formulate a place to get him removed from college football because they don't like all the attention that him and the Colorado program is getting & now top recruits that never looked Colorado's way want to go there. Those group of coaches would be classified as "haters"...Someone rooting for another team or they just don't like him for whatever reason doesn't qualify them as a "hater:".

As they should be with how we've beat them around since they entered the conference. The new ones were always acting like this was going to be a win. A simple look at Colorado State playing them last week was enough to know that everything they did on both sides, we could do better. And we wouldn't get worn down after three quarters.

I think Oregon fans felt disrespect myself included because everybody in the national main stream media on ESPN and Fox Sports would talk about this game. And so we kind of felt disrespected by the media . I did get a lot of the hater comments before the game because I said it was gonna be 51-24 and the bench would be in by the fourth quarter, and they would get a couple touchdowns to make it look closer against the back ups. I agree with you on the Deion tax, but the media does have a part of play at least the national media. I really like your channel and other college football channels that actually will talk about the game and give a fair assessment. I wasn’t surprised that it was a blowout. I was surprised that Oregon made Colorado look like an FCS team. It was 42-0 they had 34 yards with six minutes in the third quarter when they started to put the backups in. Then it took a quarter against the back ups to get a touchdown for Colorado. The score doesn’t even show how dominant Oregon was. The real outrage was win after the game. The media was called on their bias and they faced ignorance and acted like no one picked Colorado to win when in the national media It was pretty popular.

Y’all ain’t getting media attention because you’re quite mediocre for a “Top 10” team. Lanning hasn’t done jack for Oregon relative to Deion at Colorado. He inherited a stacked team from Cristobal that Mario and past coaches had long built a strong athletic culture for going back decades. Deion on the other hand completely revitalized a dead program who surely would’ve failed even worse had he not come to Boulder. He’s instituted a new culture and laid the groundwork for successful recruiting for years to come. This is only year 1, no one is arguing that Oregon has better talent and size overall, but wait a few years and watch it change.
Lanning says you don’t play for clicks, appearances, and flash but your 18,000 uniform variations say otherwise. Every team needs to be big and flashy on social media for recruiting, but you don’t need to be so two faced about it.
Enjoy your first and only week of fame and media attention. And stay mad when Colorado’s ratings stay better the whole rest of the season no matter what their record ends up being. 😂😂😂😂

The case of an influx of casual CFB fans was spot on. So many NFL fans and non-football fans suddenly became Colorado fans overnight after the TCU win and thought the disparity of talent between CFB teams was negligible like it can be in the NFL. They learned very quickly that their understanding doesn't apply to CFB.

The Buffs will score on USC because they don’t have a defense. USC will score on Colorado since they have one of the worst defenses in the nation. USC will win but not as convincingly as Oregon did.

The players and coaches will look back on these experiences that created relationships and bonds of trusts becoming productive members for our communities. Being authentic is the best thing we can do interacting with each other. Having the real person, not the "produced person" is ideal. Thank you for calling out the "hype agents" and helping to make them accountable for their actions all for profitability. Being a true fan of the game, there will be some wins and loses, the end result is the forging of character of young men as they begin to participate in life. This win ain’t gonna stop Coach Prime and what he’s doing at CU. This train is just getting started. They just gonna get better. Oregon can enjoy this win probably will be the highlight of there year as they fall short in the playoffs that’s if they make it.

Dan Lanning has small coach syndrome. “Elite” or not. They’re not winning a championship anytime soon and the Buffs in the next few years absolutely will. Recruiting is everything. And who wants to play from a guy that can’t prep players professionally for the NFL the way Deion can. That’s pretty much it. Love or hate it. These entailed teams days are over.

I don’t disagree that race plays a smaller role than some think or may benefit from stoking the flames for in the conversation around Dion Sanders, but as another commenter noted, society has been taking sides and this is a cultural/societal moment as much as it’s about football. We should all be open to considering all factors in a societal discussion, including race and the expectations folks have for how certain people in society “should” behave. It’s no secret that the race issue is just below the surface of a lot of public discussion at this stage, especially this one. Your analysis is solid, nonetheless, love the content.

So people know, the term "Hater" or "Hating" actually comes from the term "Player Hater", it's urban slang.
Basically to be a "hater" or "hating" you have to be impeding on someone's success.
So back in the day guys that played the field or dealt with a lot of women were referred to as a "Player" or "Playa".
EX: Say John is a playa and he is trying to get with Jane. There's a guy named Jim and he also wants to get with Jane and he knows about John's reputation of being a playa, so Jim informs Jane about John's reputation of being a Playa. At that moment Jim is being what's classified as being a "Playa Hater" and he would be looked at as "Hating" on John.
Now for someone to truly be "Hating" on Coach Prime they would have to do something that impedes on his success. EX Say a group of coaches get together and formulate a place to get him removed from college football because they don't like all the attention that him and the Colorado program is getting & now top recruits that never looked Colorado's way want to go there. Those group of coaches would be classified as "haters"...Someone rooting for another team or they just don't like him for whatever reason doesn't qualify them as a "hater:".

It was tough seeing my Jags fall to CMU after having them down 30-27 with 4 and 7 and less than a minute left. But Oregon's win was gold.

My next question would be, can someone do some research from the last 10 years on the top 5 or 10 first year coaches to be hired by a program with a losing record from the last 5 seasons? I'm just gauging the the levels of expectations those programs had (in their first year) vs Colorado this season.
The amount of times I saw people being called racist for cheering on Oregon was absurd. The Deion Tax is SO REAL!
For the first year Sanders will only lose 3-4 games going 9-3 or 8-4 regular season. Thats a lot better than the 1-11
