@jeffhodge7272 yeah, but for some reason (a reason I cannot fathom), he has a legion of defenders and followers who are blind to what a creep and toxic person he is/was. They idolize him. I could never understand.
Same... Overall,Bruce is my all-time favorite, absolutely hands-down. ... But Ace, while no shredder to match the metal era in which Vinnie and Bruce came up, had plenty of feel, character, style and creativity going for him... Ultimately I put Bruce and Ace as equals in terms of talent and artistry. I happen to like the heavier era of Kiss in which Bruce joined, but everyone (especially musicians) gotta give their respects for the one and only Space Ace 🛸👽🎸
Bruce was the most well balanced guitar player KISS ever had. He was rooted in the same style and feels as Ace, but he was an innovator who cared to evolve and learned the essential attributes of the 1980s shred style -- just enough. Ace never evolved beyond pentatonic box shapes, and that's okay. That's what made Ace, Ace. He was a feeling player and never a technique master. I love him and his contributions to music, but he stopped evolving in his solo abilities in the late 70s. In the 80s he bluffed his accuracy and speed abilities with a lot of heavy delay and reverb on some of the solo stuff that, upon first listen, makes you think, damn he really did evolve. But listen a few times and really analyze it, and its smoke and mirrors. The one thing he DID evolve in was heavy riff writing. His solo stuff always had nice chugging and riff work that aged well even today. I thought his solos were terrible during the reunion tour. You could see the fine motor skill loss from the years of alcohol and drugs in his lack of accuracy and his muddled phrasing. He was definitely a much better player in the late 70s. I still love him regardless, but I think Bruce outshined all other guitar players in KISS with his balance. Vinnie was a shit storm of notes vomiting everywhere, and so was Mark St. John. Bruce had just enough of their technique and enough of Ace's soul to define who he was
Even though you can play good doesnt mean you can come up with a good solo to fit the song . Bruce is just hammering on and doing pull offs and yanking here. Ace came up with all of the great solos for the classic kiss songs
Ace will always be one of my top favorite guitarist and my all time favorite member of Kiss but musically Bruce was always Kiss' best. Just imagine if Bruce and Eric (Carr)broke from Gene and Paul and did their own thing together......
He's the perfect mix of shred and tasty blues. I preferred him over Vinnie Vincent and Mark St John. Didn't care for the releases in the 80s, but I did like Revenge! After 2001 original line up split, they should of reunited the Revenge line up.
jane teitsworth completely spot on - he’s right up there with the likes of EVH, he was really an all rounder, could do the 80’s shred style, but also could keep Ace’s 70’s style too 🤘🏻
He played with a lot of good bands,artists,etc...before KISS.He even knew them as early as '79 thanks to brother Bob,who tried to tell Gene and Paul to get him in the band when Ace left in '83.😮
Obviously a planned out, not critizicing. structure gives more consistent performance. Not genius but good solid guitar work. And Bruce had to step up his game in KISS, since he really is a more "traditional" kind of player. His right hand is clearly from the Eric Clapton school. FWIW
@Angus Dabull BTW I've been playing seriously for 45 years, including live playing, recording, teaching, building and repair work and on and on.... Ask before you assume, that's a better way.

The dude could play. And he was professional. Overall, probably KISS's best guitarist. If any KISS guitarist was better, it was Vincent. Frehley, St. John, and Thayer are a collective distant third.
Ima say f*** the OG lineup. Bunch of premadonna, elitist, alcoholics. Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick were the two best members to be in that band. Vincent is a close second. I’m tired of hearing about Ace this and Peter that. They are not anywhere close to being even in the same universe as Bruce and Carr musically.
@@alfonsorodrigueznieto8078 All my respect to Bruce Kulick, he's a good guitar player and wonderful human being, but no! He may have better technique than Brian May, but technique is not everything. In his guitar work there's nothing as moving and profoundly emotional as the solo of ''You Don't Fool Me'' or ''These Are The Days Of Our Lives''. Not to mention the songwiting skills. Brian May wrote songs like ''Who Wants To Live Forever'' and ''The Show Must Go On''. Kiss with their rock n roll all night and party everyday, are too far away from this level of music.

Great
He will always be my favorite KISS guitarist. I still love the original lineup, but KISS musicianship was the best with Bruce and Eric Carr,
Kulick and Singer.
Vinnie wrote some great songs. He was just a creep.
Had 0 stage presence too.

Dirk van der Poel Totally agree
Totally agree also
Agree.
Hell yeah
Agreed
Kiss had a good without makeup years, Bruce Kulick will always be that guitar player. This is one of my favorite solos.
Bruce profesional Guitar player and no ego man.....
O melhor guitarrista do kiss até hoje dps da saída do Ace ... Bruceeeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bruce's time in KISS made me say...Ace who? Best guitarist KISS ever had.

EXTRAORDINARY BRUCE ❤
I watch this video 2 or 3 times a week at least.
He is an excellent musician I heard is considered the best among all who were ever in KISS by critics, I agree.
I'm loving that tone
Magic fingers man !!!
great solo bruce
i saw this tour it was great, anthrax opened up. bruce and eric are the shit!
I always loved that Kiss has been generous with their openers, always taking great bands to follow.
I love everything about this song forever 💯🎸❤
Hello, how are you doing?Nice to meet you here.
Why didnt he solo like this more? I would've loved to see what he, and eric could've wrote together. If it wasnt for...ya know... those other 2
Check Eric Carr videos. They have some great work of the two of them.

Best part at 2:45 that was sick 😎
Awesome that Gene and Paul let Bruce and Eric occupy the kiss stage. Great job ☺👍
Never forget. Best KISS solo ever.
Bruce : Ok guys, you take 5, let me do the rockin’! (Go’s and blows the roof off the arena) 🤘🏻🔥🎸
He kind of looks like Brian May from Queen.
Very heavy Van Halen influence but also so unique and individual
He was just as good as Eddie
Good player...

KISS, in my concern there will always be two guys on lead guitars that were and still today the best
1. Ace Frehley
1. Bruce Kulick
sounds like EVH..
He's Eddie VH fan.
MONTER tone he is a beast,Best guitar player of Kiss
the non-makup years set the stage for the reunion extra, they could have made it anyway with Bruce.
God....
#1
Underrated

Someone said when eric and bruce were together , they meant Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick. They were a force to be reconded with until the they cldnt.

do you have a link to see Yngwie Malmsteen? because he's a monster also lol but would like to compare :-)

Bruce actually HATED a lot of the outfits that the band wore during these times. He thought they were just silly looking.
hay fig want to do a live solo spot ?
no i f don't. have you seen live with out a net ?
The second half, with drums, wS far better.
no entiendo porque Bruce Kulick no es hoy el guitarrista de Kiss.
Porque ellos querian in guitarrista que sonará como Ace pero que no fuera Ace
this sounds like bruce in channeling ace's style...
