Kitchen Knife can do higher damage in a burst and are easier to cut into larger ones. But it's bigger and heavier. therefore more difficult to carry.

I rather take the kitchen knife over the "combat" knife. The "combat" knife there is more like a general purpose utility knife. The kitchen knife has a guard of sorts and a larger blade is better for fighting
