Parents always have big expectations for their children. I also had great expectations for my children, however I asked them are you happy then I am happy! We suppose to support our children sometimes we forget ourselves. We want our children to be what we didn’t accomplish, that’s wrong. Our job is to be there and support them!!!

You are the captain of your own destiny. You choose who you want on your ship in your life and how it is handled. Good story.

Mia had to choose between the life her parents envisioned for her and the one she truly wanted. It’s heartbreaking but also inspiring to see her finally take control of her own happiness and future. It really shows the importance of living authentically, even when it means going against everything you’ve known.

Parents have to remember once their children become adults the relationship changes from child to adult. Yes we will always love and support them however we have to respect their boundaries and choices no matter if we agree or disagree.

I knew from before I ever had my first child that I would be raising them to become adults eventually. When I did have kids, I taught them to be honest, compassionate, kind and protective. They were also drilled on manners and learned reasoning skills before they started school. Worked wonderfully! They are hard working and trustworthy, loving spouses and parents. I am a proud Mama!

The parents didn't have the right to define her life. Good she stood up for herself. They came to her only because they needed to use her for something. If not for the scandal they wouldn't have given her her the time of the day.

Why would she ever want her toxic parents again?

No one has right to make plans for your life accept for you and God. And God didn't put us on Earth to please other people or to live up family expectations.

Not impressed with her and Ethan. There is such a thing as forgiveness.

Helping her parents would have open the eyes of her parents, and the choices they made. Remember we are to love, forgive, and help our enemies. Yes I am a Christian, and I follow the teachings of my Savior Jesus Christ. Helping them would have set them on a different path I truly believe, and a path for her. There would be no more anger between the them.

We help because it is the Christian thing to do, but believe me. Most of them won't be set in a differrent path... and sometimes they will not leave you in peace.

You did to your parents what they did to you. Will you do the same thing to your child?

The parents were wrong to make you choose between them and Ethan, but you were wrong to not help them when they came to you. To show them how family love and help each other even if they do not agree with their choices.

Usually, disowning someone is permanent and not acknowledging that person's existence and the parents had no right to ask for anything

I agree that you should be able to marry who you want to marry but I don’t agree with how you treated your parents when they were indeed it wasn’t an issue of you being too poor and not having enough money to help them. It doesn’t cost to give emotional support and you deprive your child from potentially having grandparents that actually liked them so I disagree with what you’re doing.

So she wants to be an independent strong woman choosing outside of "Traditional" views, as if carpenters were an anomaly in this world and marrying one would be a crime of lese-majesty. What a ridiculous and discriminatory way to choose. Basically she is acknowledging that her choice is not standard, and that's why she did choose her husband, going against parent wishes and standards.
Her arguments are just woke blah blah. I would have been somehow embarrassed if i had been chosen for a tantrum, not out of love. PATHETIC STORY

our live was not fancy but it was ours. Sure it couldn't be someone else's life obviously, fancy or not. Just AI BS banality not bringing anything to the table, just meaningless blah blah. She couldn't say she was unhappy because it would mean she chose badly. Just pathetic

she closed the door to her parents 3 times, and they only come into her life because they need something. The scandal blah blah, sure, what scandal, and why use the same excuse twice, this AI pathetic story is only that, pathetic. i blocked this stupid channel.
