    I love the picture of Queen Mary wearing Cullinan 1,2,3, and 4 in that portrait shot. 1 and 2 as a stomacher?! That St Edwards sapphire at the crown top of the Imperial State Crown is so beautiful. The tiara at the end switches from Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara and Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara Mary’s tiara has the spikes, but just as beautiful. It’s the one pictured on the red pillow. Princess Elizabeth wore the Queen Mary Tiara on her wedding day. Very much enjoy your videos!

      Glad someone pointed out the difference between the Kokoshnik and the fringe!

      @@JewelleryPleasure no worries. There are so many tiaras it’s easy. I swear there’s another tiara that looks like both of those that turn into necklaces.

      Me too! I love how when Queen Elizabeth II was a little girl she called Cullinans 3&4 (I think it was 3&4) "Granny's Chips" So Cute

    Catherine’s ring did belong to his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales but it does not date back to the 19th century. It was bought from Garrards, the then Crown Jewellers in 1981.

    I am familiar with all these pieces but the most stunning ones are: the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace. the aquamarine and diamond parure, the lover's knot tiara and the Queen Alexandra's kokoshnik tiaras.

    I know you probably are already editing your next video and have lots of Ideas but next could you maybe do the Jewels (that weren't stolen and sold by the Bolsheviks) from Imperial Russia??? Or the Jewels (that weren't stolen and sold by the Iranian Revolution) from Shah Reza Empress Farrah the Pavlovi Dynasty? Oh! And the tiaras and Jewels from Spain? Lol 😆 just a few helpful suggestions I'm sure that would each take days and weeks worth of Research, Finding Images, Narrating, Editing, Re-Editing 😍 you know 😉 just 3-4 super quick videos lol no trouble at all!
    Edit: Also, Perhaps you should set up a Patron account so you can get donations for your hard, flawless work ! ✨️

    I'm not sure that Diana was given her ring. Charles actually took her to Garrard's in London where she was shown an assortment of rings from which to choose. She allegedly chose this one because "it was the biggest" but in a later statement, she said she selected it because the colour matched her eyes and was her favourite. It was also the biggest ring of those she was presented. Interestingly, at the time, it wasn't extremely valuable as is Camilla's enormous diamond ring. The value assigned to Diana's ring today was is simply that it was hers. It's wonderful to see my cousin William grown now into the kind of man Diana would have wished and to see Catherine wearing his mother's ring. I have great respect for William and Harry and the choices each has made.

    Sell some of these jewels and give the money to the people that are struggling

    • @JewelleryPleasure
      @JewelleryPleasure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not think, that this will resolve all issues of struggling people. Just "giving money" has never resolved any problems in world history. Giving the money for economic development, actually, may help.

    The beauty of the Hyderabad necklace can never be underestimated , nor the generosity of the gift . With regards to the sapphire engagement ring given to the lovely Kate , now Princess of Wales , it cannot and does not compare . If anything it is and will remain just a fairly decent but “flawed “ sapphire in an ordinary setting. The ring is only “iconic “ because of its previous ownership but is of no astonishing merit - just a catalogue piece of Garrrards commercial jewellery , not terribly sophisticated at all . Chosen by Diana herself from the Garrad’s then , current catalogue . Thereafter , various members of the Royal Family , particularly The Queen Mother , subsequently gifted her existing pieces of jewellery containing sapphires of greater quality which she , largely , had reset , at great cost . ………..A good video but inaccurate in parts .

    Okay so I know this next comment will be controversial and people will may be appalled lol but I'm just not a fan of the Cambridge Lover's Knot Pearl Tiara. I respect the history of it and that it was Beloved by Princess Diana

    You presented the most spectacular crowns and tiaras, some of the worth billions, then you jump to …. Meghan engagement ring. Seriously? 🤣

    • @JewelleryPleasure
      @JewelleryPleasure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, there is a logic in your words, but the video, actually about the most famous pieces, not most expensive or most oldest ones :) And, you know, all this hype about Megan and Harry nowadays makes Meghan's ring actually famous. And, anyway, all such lists always are subjective :) So I understand that for other people the list of most famous UK royal jewellery might be different.
