In today's tutorial I bring you the highly requested self haircut for the top, the sides and a style at the end. This will be the only video you need to fully learn how to give yourself a self haircut and learn the tricks and techniques I use to ensure that your hair looks fresh and well groomed.

I have cut my own hair since 2005. Started off cutting fades on my homeboy. So I decided to cut my hair, and It wasn't the best for the first 8 to 10 cuts, but I figured it out. I added it up, a 20 dollar cut every 2 weeks, I saved just under 9K.
Gotta factor in inflation too, probably more than that lmao
@kddalivest2340 I'm sure it is. Now a days I believe a men's cut at a barber shop is close to 25 bucks or more. When I went to the barber shops it was usually 15 plus a tip.

Yeah but, how long did each cut take? Add that up and subtract it from your life. To me, time is more valuable than money.
@Kwelar takes me about an hour to cut hair, trim my facial hair up, and line my edges and neck up. But I didn't start cutting my hair to save money. Was in between barbers at the time, and I'm picky about my hair. So I had just started to get pretty nice with fades and gave my own hair a try and was happy with it. As I went I just got better and faster at it. Used to just only use clippers, but I've learn to do some scissor work as well.
I have three sons. I’ve been cutting their hair for 3 years now, saved over $2000 in barber shop visits. Finally started to try to cut my own hair as well. When one of them gets older I’ll have them cut mine

Good video! I have been cutting my own hair for several years. The hardest part is managing the cowlicks and cutting the back of the head at the crown. I start my fade with a #1 closed.

Definitely considering learning the fade since going to the barber regularly enough to keep the look would mean I'd had to be a millionaire with every other day off and have no life...

You already sound like a professional. It depends on how much of the line I can see. If it is very visible I use the whole surface. If it just needs a little bit of cleaning then just the corner 🤓
@@Harunnawzadi I must confess that before l see ur 10 minutes video, l cut my hair with this method and result is perfect but l always need cut my hair near to top of my hair for reducing line and clean cut becauseof much steps. Btw u ve amazing skill that u finish the clean cut where also l want to finish eventhough u ve lots steps at ten minutes video.That's why l wanna using ur method for finishing clean cut at ur short video. Less steps then finish middle of my side.

I can not see clearly but when u cut, u make curve motion or not at the lines or just push the clippers till lines dissappear its like 10mm.

Man i really enjoy going to the barber. Till they went from $25 to $40 plus tip $48. plus my kid it’s $35 plus tip $$43 . Now I have another boy almost ready for haircut. 3 of us will be $134 every 3 weeks. I had to learn. NOT perfect but almost there. Few more times. Then we good.

How do you cut it so there’s not such a distinct part line like if you want to have the side gradually flow into the top?
Hey Sidney. You follow the same tutorial but use bigger guards. So for example instead of your initial line being zero(no guards), you would make your first line with a No1 guard or whatever other side you want and gradually use bigger guards as you move up.
