When being a wizard just doesn't pay anymore.
😂😂😂
🤣
lol when being a superhero doesn't pay
Before I even seen his face i recognized his voice 😮😅 poor guy I don't know if playing a wizard was good or bad it's like its marked him. 😮
Before magic he tried doing ops work in The Good Shepherd. He got honey potted. Hopefully he's gotten better at the job since then
I have never seen Redmayne in a role like this before😊
For the looks of this, he crush it.
Damn I’m down, he looks badass
Thankyou for saying this😄
I knowww, neither did I ! I’m so excited 😊
he looks way too young and feminine to be the jackal. another dei disaster.
I'm rooting for the jackal on this one.

Came here looking for this comment 🔥
This is the most fiery comment😂. Much appreciated
Most commenters are forgetting the movie was released back in 1973, Willis's version came out 24 years later in 1997.
This movie will keep getting remade every 24 to 27 years.
...based on a novel published in 1971
Those are just based on the same novel by Frederick Forsyth, it is not a remake.
This goes a lot further than that novel.
I so hope they don’t screw this classic up . Edward Fox in the original is priceless . 🇫🇷🎥✒️
It's so rare to see Eddie Redmayne in this kind of role. Gives me some vibes of Edward Norton's old movies. Lets wait to see how it goes
More like Edward Fox
Another DEI Sh*tshow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The original version is a masterpiece, period.
I didn't know this was a remake, I'll go watch the original... I remember this chick from that star wars shows and I don't think I want to see her again, it left such a bad taste.
@@HisameArtwork This is actually the second remake of the original masterpiece from 1973, Day of the Jackal with Edward Fox. Then 1997 remake was with Bruce Willis, all based on Fedrick Forsyth book.
Excellent and enjoyable
this song has been used in 700 movie trailers about loners and assassins this year alone
thats what i noticed, what is it called?
Everything in its right place - Radiohead
And in 3 Body Problem trailer, I think?
Hollywood idea crisis touched also OST ))))
Ask God for Help & Don't Hesitate in Responding by Sensus Fidelium.
Eddie Redmayne? I'm totally in!!!
The 1973 film with Edward Fox was a play by play of the book. Me and the girl saw it last month, she had no idea of the whole Algerian conflict on which it's based on. The 1973 version holds up after fifty years especially the last twenty minutes of the very real parade at les Champ d'Ellisee.
If I recall rightly, this storyline or novel has something to do with the Nigerian-Biafran War in '67-70... by Fredrick Forsyth's experiences during the Biafran War.
@@XQRobertzno, that was "The Dogs of War".
@@XQRobertz Not really. The main plot is that Charles DeGaulle, president of France, gave Algeria, a French colony, its freedom, something that was extremely unpopular in France . Members of the army, who fought hard in Algeria deviced several plots to assasinate him. The movie is fiction, but based on mostly true events.
@alansargent9158 my bad, thanks for the correction mate🙏🏾
@rememberingmiami thanks for the correction, appreciated 🙏🏾
Is that Tokyo?!! Well, i was already sold on Eddie thumbnail.
well gotta say he's stepping up and i don't see any awkwardness he seems fit this role. definitely watching this!
Not sure why this needed to be remade. The first movie with Edward Fox and a wonderful supporting cast was excellent and has stood the test of time.
Because society has run out of ideas. People just don't have the imagination or story telling that they once did so we continue to reboot old ideas.
They have already done a remake, 1997's "The Jackal" with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere. Apparently we need a new one every 25 years or so lol.
@@ThalantyrBF3 They have imagination but many of them are axed by the decision makers of the production companies
They made it for us..... not for y'all. Y'all had yourz back then, this one is for us. 🤷
@@andywhata It reflects your time.
Iconic characters, The Jackal is such a legendary character. I'm curious to see how this modern adaptation brings him to life
I'm not!
I don't want or need a repeat or redefining of yet another movie, cookie cutter laziness
I love it when Redmayne plays heroic characters like this.
I love these two. Shame I won’t be able to see it in the States anytime soon.
One of the most well written villains ever put to page imo.
It looks good but won’t ever be a patch on the 1973 original with Edward Fox, an utter classic
Exactly, I could not agree more.
If this movie has at least ONE Massive Attack song in it, I'm satisfied.
Looks superb
Read the book back in high school! Superb fiction!!!! Hope they stay true to it...
Um, it doesn't look like Charles de Gaulle is present. . . so no.
Unfortunately many people misunderstand it is a remake of the film adaptation so far lol
This might be a loose adaptation. Looks like a prequel/sequel
I loved the Willis version in the 90's and like Eddie's performances.
I really hope this is as good as it looks.
It will never be as good as the original, and he'll never be as good as Edward Fox
He just as well might. She on the other hand will never be Michael Lonsdale. She will bury the movie.
@robertcapek2425 Nothing beats the original, and yes Michael Lonsdale was a one off 👌...
He also played a brilliant Bond Villian , "Look after Mr Bond, see that some harm comes to him"...
True, that first film was (and will be) the best one
Finally!! Eddie, getting out of his comfort zone and trying something new. Although there is no doubt that he is a phenomenal actor but we have to wait and see if he actually fits in this action hero avatar.
Those WB movies really did a number on his career. Oscar winner to Sky original.
I saw this on a billboard and now I'm even more hyped for it
Where can you watch it ? For free specifically if you know
looks like a james bond movie about the bad guy
Yeah, I hope they wont go over the top too much. The original Jackal is a superb movie based on equally superb book. Forsyth is one of my favourite writers and was always very realistic and meticulous with his espionage stories, very little emotional drama, lots of operational details.
Everything in it's Right Place 🔥
It's so difficult to picture sweet Eddie Redmayne in a role like this. EXCITED
He is a Genius of an Actor. He can play anything.
Man's intro promises he could be the next James Bond..
Just my 2cent 😊
Interesting
Had never considered him, but I could definitely see it now.
😮. Perhaps a bond villian???
It was 2 cents
Jesus,I just tried to say your name out loud and my furniture started levitating
This looks awesome. The first one is good and the Bruce Willis version is very good. I'm gonna do a rewatch of both now
This is literally the trailer for The Accountant. Music, genre and all.
I always thought Redmayne gives out serial killer vibes, but never seen him in a role like this.
Wow. I really hope this movie turns out to be as good as the trailer
Can’t wait I’m excited for this
If you can't wait, then watch the original or the previous remake, or the remake TV show, or whatever.
The book, oh the book what a classic!
He's gonna have to be amazing to beat the Edward Fox performance!
Brilliant!!!!
I love this fella Eddie. 🥰🤘🤘
FANTASTIC JACKAL and WHERE TO FIND HIM
Eddie Redmayne is such a good actor. I’m in!
When does it come out and where can i watch for free ?
@HaiderKhan-di8wq you'll be a good boy and pay
lol Newt Scammander went from Hufflepuff to Slytherin lmao
This guy in an action role. Sign me up!
Hope it does justice to the book. One of my favourites by Forstyth.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Eddie Redmayne, evolving! Bravo!
best movie ever at last from uk top action movie, waiting for so long for this kind of movie
Now this is a trailer if I ever saw one...I cannot wait🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀🤸♀
This is a role that you don't often see Redmayne in. I'm interested.
If this is not even remotely close to Frederick Forsyth’s book I am not gonna watch it…Chacal was cunning and ruthless in that book
The book doesn't translate to modern times, since the plot wouldn't have happened they way it did - and that's what made the book so entertaining
Remember watching the original and then I think the Bruce Willis remake
Yes with a Bruce playing the villain and Richard Gere was a great remake of the original
must we remember the Bruce Willis/Richard Gere fiasco? Must we really?
No. Those are just based on the same novel by Frederick Forsyth, it is not a remake.
The latter being far batter than the reviews made it out to be. Sure, it wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't as bad as its made out to be.
Bruce was THE WORST casting on Jackal role!
I saw the thumbnail and i was already in. Wizarding aside, the awkwardness is gone,he looks the part.
WAy better than the killer and i haven't even watched it,
What makes this interesting is that it’s a TV show, not a movie.
Another DEI Sh*tshow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ohh ...I thought it is a movie. Thanks!
Looks worthy of its predecessor. Worth checking it out
Not even the wolf of wall street could sell me on this guy playing a killer
SENSATIONAL AND THIS TRAILER IS 🔥
Who hired Captain Overconfidence ?
why?
@@ChrisEvery-tx5np Saw what she did in Multiverse of Madness?
Looking forward to this🔥🙌
This trailer looks slightly different than the one uploaded on Peacock’s channel. I wonder why?
This looks like it will be intriguing and well scripted to draw you in to a larger universe!
This feels like a recap of the movie rather than a trailer.
The 1073 movie was phenomenal.
Wow. That old? How they projected pictures? With candles? :D :D
( Sorry. )
I think they were just flipping hand painted postcards really fast back then.
is this a film or a series? (why don't trailers ever say that?)
10 episode series for Sky Atlantic in UK, and on Peacock in the US
For those looking, the song is "Everything In Its Right Place" by Radiohead
Seem like a great movie. Well done!
It's a series...
JE VEUX VOIR CETTE SERIE!!!
This guy quit being a wizard for an assassin
The day of the jackal was a great book. And already made into a great film. Why not make a film of another great book? There are so many out there
Not really. Books are just copying previous books. Sometimes they can convince the judges ("I swear I didn't know about 'Battle Royale' " - the author of Hunger Games) but in most cases the resemblance is way too obvious and they know if they'd adapt it into a movie, meaning make the story more simple and short, then it'd turn out the adaptation of the other book.
Because milking the brand (as always these days)
idk why this is the first time I saw a movie with Radiohead as their soundtrack... so chillin to the bone
1. Because you didn't see enough good movies (e.g. Children of Men)
2. Because you still haven't. This is a trailer for a series not for a movie :)
Modern version of The Day of the Jackal
I want "The Killer" type of realism in this action movie.
Codename Jackal hasn't met Codename Komodo Dragon.
It's giving me the vibes of "The Killer" movie played by Michael Fassbender
This is an interesting take on Frederick Forsyth's novel of the same name and I am here for it! I read the book over 40 years ago and have seen both previous adaptations. For those saying we don't need another one, I say "hooey". I like to hear/see how someone sees a book that I have read. We don't all have the same views, otherwise we wouldn't have book clubs.
Looks fantastic!
eddie doesn't not get noticed.....but will def give this a shot
this is like Marcus backstory from John Wick
No, it's like a remake of a TV show that was a remake of a Bruce Willis movie that was a remake of an 1973 movie that was a remake of an even older book....
I really like the look and feel of this. I'm in.
They wrecked it.
Can't wait 🎉
fantastic beasts and the jackal :D
Wow, people not known how to read? The Day of the Jackal is a book written by Frederick Forsyth, and by this moment, have three adaptations counting with this new movie, The Jackal with Willis is a remake of the original movie.
From studying black hole, to wizad to assassin
this looks exhilarating
GOAT antagonist
The opening scene was like David Fincher's THE KILLER
Do La Femme Nikita. Watch a doc on the actual Carlos the Jackal.
Wasn’t it Edward Fox In the original ? that was quite a rated film and its day
Yes
OH COUNT ME TF IN
This looks incredible, and you can never go wrong with “Everything in its Right Place”.
Another DEI Sh*tshow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make him the next James Bond already !
Broo this is something 😍🔥
I'll prefer watching the original one released in 1973 over this DEI inspired one.
Yes, no point in adapting the old story, should have made a Hitman movie
Everything in its right place - Radiohead (a perfect soundtrack)
Как же вырос актёр Саша Головин!
Да, похож :)) Но актёра могли найти побрутальнее.
Oh I'm so into it
I like it, i was a fan of the original, but this trailer looks very good.
One of those unputdownable books whose adaptations so far haven't done justice to the source material. This however looks like it might pleasantly surprise us. Looking forward to the beginning of the JACKALverse.
Thank God there is a strong black woman as the hero!!! About Time!
Third time is a charm for this movie.... although there was nothing wrong with the original.
Eddie and Lashana...this is gonna be fun.
