I don't really know why they keep banging the drum of base sasori > 3rd kazekage, where it can literally be an assassination + poison hax, like the 3rd kazekage was in the village and no one in the village notice their fight, and I don't even believe people on madara's level can kill a top kage level fighter in a fair fight so quickly that 10 thousand + people (including chiyo and rasa who are kage level as well) failed to notice it

So my guess is that Sasori poisoned him, and he fought the third before the third succumbs to the poison. But with the third kazekage puppet, he should still be superior than Kakuzu and Deidara IMO. But Sasori is not beating sage Jiraiya.
OK on Sasori, he ALSO said after he wanted to kill then that he was inpatient and said before that it was a waste to use his other human puppets. Plus Poison is OP and Chiyo saved Sakura from several surprise attacks and she still died despite all of this and Chiyo had to use her revive Jutsu. That being said Sage Senses + just how HUGE some of his attacks are I do think Jiraiya would win, but that's match up not being stronger. I think Itachi is much harder than implied though. Sage Mode is such a perfect counter for him. Can't catch them in Genjutsu except for his very conditional hax, they can feel Amaterasu coming and move away, he can't even see things like Frog Kata, and Sage reactions should put you on his tier. Also he can just run away and outlast Susanoo use. I think simply due to the matchup Jiraiya has a good chance, like a 3 out of 10.
This is where I’d agree with swag, we know for a fact sasori wasn’t going all out against sakura and chiyo. They also had counters for everything he had. The fact he was monologging in battle shows he wasn’t going all out. He couldn’t use his poison, he let himself get hit with the last attack, and like I said was nerfed as chiyo had his literal parent puppets fighting him. Third kazekage scaling is also insane, especially since iron sand is stronger than both regular sand and gold sand
Noodles made a very good react to this video and he's 100% right. I don't agree with his Kakuzu and Minato scaling, I think they're horrible, but in this subject he's 100% right. Swag and Seth just knows that 99,81% of the Naruto community is a Jiraiya fan and they don't want to lose their fan base.
