What I love the most is how she met someone who gave her the courage to sing again. Wether he was only a small portion of it, I love how much they include each other in their projects musically and not. Their supportive of each other, love each other genuinely and purely. Everything about this song is just...heart wrenching and beautiful❤️

I didn't get it until I saw them looking at Adrienne as if disapproving which is ironically what happened with the church when they got together. And her running was like running back to the world until he went after her and got her and walked with her down the right road. Very powerful!

All the people complaining that it’s a shame songs don’t mention God or Jesus don’t get it. It’s not to try and make the song sound secular. It’s to personalise it. It’s a song TO GOD not about God. There’s a certain intimacy when you say YOU intstead of God. It redirects the song being to the audience and rather to our Heavenly Father. Y’all gotta stop reaching. It’s not rocket science that this is a gospel song.
This is literally how my husband and I met... I was the church girl and he came from the “world”. People really disagreed and most were disappointed.... but we stuck together and now 9 years later and 3 years married and still so strong and united and so in love.... when you know- you know. Gods timing is perfect and Devine! I cried of happiness for these two!!

At first I didn't get it--especially the part where she ran when everyone else took off their masks. Then I looked up an interview Israel did about the album and song and watched the video again and nearly cried when he chased after her when she ran. This is how God chases after us no matter what we've done, how far we've went or no matter how people judge us (which was them looking at her). This song made me cry the first time I heard it and it still bringing tears in my eyes anytime I hear it or think about the whole concept.
The song is so deep and I personally relate to it. We aren't all perfect but we are so good at pointing fingers at other people and making them feel bad, condemned and rejected for mistakes they make. I especially want to call on the "Church" and ask "us/them" to stop pushing people away from God when they make mistakes(something human...) God knows the secrets of all heart but He love us the same.
Please know that "changes can not occur without the "encounter" ... Didn't God says we should be each other's keeper and that the "strong" should pray for the "weak"?

There will always be those who judge and play God so you are ridiculed and shamed into thinking you are not enough but Jesus paid it for us a long a time ago. So with every secret and every sin God sees us inside out and love us the same, past our shortcomings. God chooses us even when the world would have condemn us. My God this beautiful. With God we don't need masks and a pretentious sense of perfection, He sees our faults and loves us the same. Hallelujah to His name, what an assurance.

I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this song. It's simply beautiful. For the not mentioning God or Christ part, I think when a gospel artist fails to mention this in the interview is when it concludes that they were going for a more general and secular approach. I would love Jesus' name to have been mentioned but this is how they chose to have it and I respect that. A musical ode to God.

Yes, I myself misunderstood in the past that, but Ive come into the Right understanding that God's lovingkindness/grace is not only to "shame" our haters but empower us to follow Him with boldness and in Truth. His patience and goodness is to bring us back or raise us up to complete faith(belief) in Him. For deception causes us to disobey(go against His will for us) Him. His Truth always trumps or overrides any lie or deception.
Im still in the neverending process of getting my mind renewed, but Ive learned that deception is death to all who live.

I am never surprised by the star struck comments. It could be anything and people would be saying its amazing. The focus is I don't care what she is singing I'm just so happy she is back singing. Boy I tell you, when it comes to stars and people in the limelight we always want to paint this picture of them being so good and no one should judge yet the life of a believer is somehow put on the back burner as it relates to truly sharing a song with meaning that people can walk away clearly understanding what Christ is all about AND living it out. We will disregard all other scriptures especially about not being unequally yoked. Even if the two have found repentance and are now living as salt and light people won't see that message because they too busy excited about the fairy tale and oooh did you see the gospel greats Sarah blah blah and oh Meagan blah blah. We can't see Christ because it will stay in the natural and people stay at Oh God loves us that's so beautiful.
