GA to VA Chevy 1500 6L Hauling Honda Recon

First time hauling 4 Wheeler over 6 hours 1 way up into the mountains of Virginia. 2009 Chevy Silverado 6.0 Gas Engine in Tow Haul Mode 3/4 of the way. The main benifit of the Tow Haul mode is that as soon as you let off the gas you start to slow down. Tapping the break imediately drops you down 1 gear. This allows you to drive at nearly the same speed you would if you were not hauling at all, and possibly have better control during heavy braking. We ecnountered heavy rain multiple times and were able to confidently control the 1500 in various situations. I think you would probably want a diesel for hauling more than 1 with a trailer and 1 in back, but for a single in back, the 1500 was more than enough to haul it happily.
