Trick: if there are less than 8 plants in the field, every zombie will drop a plant. You can try keep only powerful ultimate plants.

Here’s another tip, chomper bypasses the whole rng gimmick since it insta kills the zombie. So try your best to get chomper and once you get it, the level will be 10x easier

I beat this with like 2 lane only, oblivion cob and shroom carry

The only way to complete this minigame is getting lucky and getting Ultimate cob-cannon.

Not really. If the number of plants on the field is 8 or less, the zombie will drop plants. If you have 9 plants on the field, the probability of the zombie dropping plants will decrease.
You can wait for the zombie to drop the ultimate plant or chomper then this level will be very easy
