Such a great show/cartoon. A good little reveal about the Neosapian uprising being crushed, was because Pheaton sold out Marsala, the leader of the Neosapian uprising at that time.
Marsala did have a very good argument at the end. Neosapiens don't have anything to anchor themselves to the greater world around them. No past, no future, only their own existence. We cannot comprehend that because we are intrinsically bound to our family. Even orphan children, while not knowing their family or history, still know they are part of that chain. It's no wonder Phaton was so niellistic about his Neosapian Empire.
@@thisithisthey took over the planets because Phaton convinced the ruling human government to send their entire Starfleet into deep space to hunt down the pirate clans that had been troubling them for decades. Phaton had kept up a facade of peaceful coexistence between Neo Saipans and humans for decades while secretly building a vast army to rival the Exo Fleet. When the Neo Sapians attacked, they were only met with resistance from local law enforcement and a few scattered and poorly equipped defense militias. That’s the reason they conquered Earth and Venus so quickly, as Mars was more or less already under Neo Sapian control.
@@Stg_newtypePossibly for some kind of sense of familiarity among the humans. Plus, easier to explain concepts like “sisters” to a species that has female members
When I think about it, exosquad is my first exposure of "bad guys being the protagonists and painted as good guys" and is very similar to Matrix movie. Exosquad Neosapiens are the Matrix robots.

For a kids show meant to sell toys the writing and the lore is just topnotch.

Dude, he even told his closest advisor when she questioned his plan to blow up earth, “I’m already dying, what do I care about the future?”
Makes sense. Easier to control if they can't reproduce
Seeing how the Neosapiens took over Earth, Mars, and Venus, It's clear that didn't work well for the human in the first place.

They still have female Neos.

@@dylanfrancis5996 I love when Livia and Phaeton see the anti-Neo graffiti in Chicago. "Curious. Horns...Horn could be very useful..".

Holy shit! That had me splitting my sides. 😅
Thank you for pointing that out :P

It could have been a great video if you had allowed in the rest of the Marsala speech and not put in the Bill Murray clip.
The real reason is I can't show more than 30 seconds of clips or I'll get flagged.
Fair enough. Sorry. Thanks for the video.@@thisithis

Is that acceptable enough?
clearly you've never seen the Marsala/Nara art out there.
