    Game changer and the way it should have been! You totally cleaned the look of your bike up!

    havent seen anyone do this with the OEM crash bars. Looks awesome!

    Looks clean! Blackout the passenger handles and both sets of foot pegs.. New black exhaust, the bike would look sweet blacked out and sound better with a new exhaust

      That would be awesome! Thanks.

    I have the exact same upgrades waiting to be installed on my TA...plus Veridian CC and Honda heated grips and 12V socket. Black is definitely a go on the bars and skid plate! The silver is a better look on my '19 ATAS than on the TA, for sure. Nice job!

      Thanks. The upgrades you are doing sound great. Let me know how the heated grips work out for you.

      They are the Honda OEM grips. If they’re the same as on my ATAS, they’ll be top notch.

    I always hated the look of the Honda skid plate. It makes the bike look out of whack. But in black it looks fantastic!! It no longer looks like an add on making the bike look pregnant!

    • @chunkybullmoto
      @chunkybullmoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are exactly right! The bike did look pregnant before.

    That is not a Transalp issue, it is a "too much time on your hands and too much spare chage in your pockets" type deal, but hey you have to be happy with what you own so if you can do it, have at it. Looks good.

      Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it. Just an FYI: I work six days a week at a blue collar job. So no, I really don’t have “too much time on my hands and too much change in my pockets.” I wish I did!

    It’s a pity you don’t get the White and Blue version in the US, like elsewhere in the world.

      I really like the White and Blue version better. Wish we could get that color here for sure.

    Looks great! It's worth mentioning for folks who are looking that the cost of the OEM crash protection +$400 for powder coating is more than twice as expensive as an already black aftermarket kit from a company like SRC in Oregon or Outback Motortek.

    • @chunkybullmoto
      @chunkybullmoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. If I had to do it over I would have definitely went with aftermarket kit from the beginning.

    While I am not a big fan of the flat black on bikes, that looks 100% better.

    I have done the same thing with my engine guard and crash bars, I left the skid plate aluminum as I didn’t want it to look plastic, which I think makes it look to much like a sport bike.

    • @chunkybullmoto

      Nice! Just doing the bars would be great as well.

    Why not buy SW Motech came in black and no need to spend extra for power coating?

    • @chunkybullmoto
      @chunkybullmoto  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are absolutely right. That is definitely the way to go. Sine I was already stuck with the OEM stuff, I was just trying to figure out the best way to do it.

    I've taken a look at some aftermarkets that are a bit cheaper, come black, but are much uglier (imo). Looking how it should have been, great job!

    Why did you not have the same treatment applied to the luggage rack?

    • @chunkybullmoto
      @chunkybullmoto  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly, I didn’t even think about doing those. Thanks for the suggestion.

      @@chunkybullmoto It was one of the first 'improvements' made to my Transalp one year ago. I was surprised how heavy it was, and so usually use the bike without it, with a day bag strapped around the pillion seat.
