I feel the same way about how friendly and welcoming everyone is. I knew coming to Thailand that the culture was much more friendlier than where I came from (United States). But you don’t understand just how nice and friendly thai people are until you experience it, it’s one of my favorite things so far about Bangkok.

I really think it is something that you have to experience firsthand to really understand it. If only all countries had the same welcoming attitude!

I’m a quick walker too. I have to zigzag past those slow people 😅

Ah, I like your straightforwardness. Double price is unacceptable, I agree. My opinion : Thai governments from the past till the present time … they’ve taken their own citizens as poor people. Therefore poor people need to be specially treated such as reduced payments meanwhile foreigners who are traveling in Thailand must be rich to afford traveling aboard. So rich people pay an extra rate and they’re still fine. Certainly this perspective is incorrect & unfair. But I perceive this issue because I know them well.
Knowing that Thai hospitality is beautifully engraved in your ❤️. It gladdens me & ensures you that your decision since day 1 to start leaning Thai until it led you to have this memorable experience in this part of the globe was the right choice. Hope you will keep learning & have opportunities to use what you’ve learnt to communicate with Thais. Lastly, keep watch Thai BLs นะคะคุณวี 🥰

Thank you! Hopefully double pricing changes soon, especially for the foreigners who are living there and paying taxes etc.
I can't believe how much my life has changed since learning Thai (the topic of a future video!). It is such a beautiful language and culture, I'm so happy I made the decision to start! I am back watching Thai BLs, I took a break because I was so busy but I am finally catching up on the ones I missed 55555

Defo agree about the cockroaches! I remember one of the DLS teachers telling us about how she turned on the A/C in the school in the morning and a couple of cockroaches ran out... Ever since then I intensely watch my A/C whenever I turn it on 55555

OMG I would be traumatised if they came out of my AC! I was already a mess just seeing them in general, let alone if they fell from the ceiling! My skin is crawling just thinking about it 5555

@@VictoriaReign You know what else is traumatising?! Moving into a new place (after specifically searching for more expensive places where everything's super clean and stuff) and finding a cockroach inside ON THE DAY OF KEY HANDOVER... after you just signed a 6 month lease... and then awkwardly saying to your agent "uhh.. excuse me... there's a dead cockroach in the middle of the living room..." and them responding with "so? what's the big deal?" 5555 it does build you up though I guess... PS It's Ingmar/Iggy from Duke :)

Welcome back and cool video. I am suffering in San Antonio, Texas, USA with the darn cockroaches. I was hoping that Thailand's condos and apartments wouldn't have these pests. I hate roaches.
I can't believe your teacher grabbed your abs like that. Thats bizarre. You should have charged him some baht for touching you or told him "Touching you is for your date/boyfriend only." lol.
I didn't know you were half-Jamaican. For some reason, I thought your dad was an American.
Do you prefer Jamaican food over other cuisines? I love their curry chicken with potatoes.

Thank you! Cockroaches are the worst and I won't be taking questions 😂 I think I was just unlucky with an older building that didn't regularly spray the building so once the infestation got it...it got in! I have friends in Thailand who have never seen one in their condo, or max like 1-2.
LOOL I think they would have found it funny if I told them only bf can touch me.
Nah no American in me haha, Jamaican isn't my favourite cuisine, but it is my 'home' cuisine that I craved a lot in Thailand and when I'm not well, or I want to celebrate, then I want to have it. I think because I have it so often, it feels normal, so then my favourite cuisine is one I don't eat often. I'm glad you like JA food!

I don't like the double price. That's nonsense. It's one price for all.

    • @VictoriaReign
      @VictoriaReign  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It does take some getting used to, but I agree, it should just be one price for all. Thankfully, I think it is slowly becoming less common.
