i love all the reoccouring jokes of "how to play this" when in reality all you would have to do is play a bunch of individual parts of the song and stitch them together. im not saying its easy, just POSSIBLE

Seriously, though, 7:00 somehow sounds like a bell. How did you do that?
Two factors were likely at play:
1.) The original author (TSMB2) using "chopped notes" at the high end -- when notes are 64th and shorter, playing them in quick succession will make entirely new sounds, and
2.) I used a renderer to create the audio -- it wasn't realtime. When using a realtime driver, there is a polyphony/voice limit that clips out extraneous sounds, but when using a renderer, you can eschew these limits entirely. As a result, "rendered" audio such as this sometimes sounds "buzzy", or in your case of describing it, a "bell"
In addition to that, the SoundFont likely played a role
