A nostalgia search brought me here. I still have mine, but one side doesn't play, hopefullly it can be fixed. I remember buying this deck and being amazed at how it could jump to other songs in the tape. Ah good times.
Interesting video. And what a great find for Goodwill! I used to see cassette decks in Goodwill all the time but they've dried up recently. I have a TC-WR445 which, although a bit different in looks (it has the display on the right instead of the middle), is quite close in functionality. The main difference being the WE435 has AWS and the pitch control whereas the WR445 does not. Sony made some quite nice looking cassette decks in the 90's in particular.
can we connect phone output/other computer audio output into line in of tc we 435 casette deck? .if i connect my phone into line in of casette deck using a sterio pin and play an audio in phone then will i get same audio in line out ?
I believe the AMS button can be pushed more than once to skip more than one song...my 625 does this...so I dont know if it does on the model..can someone tell me if it does, thanks....
I have a Kenwood deck Model CT-201, Not nearly as high-end as your sony deck, but still it has decent quality when playing cassettes. I just got a load of 70's and 80's cassettes from my grandma. I have always said that today's music just does not compare to the old stuff.
that's true, but the microphone on my Sony DCR-TRV 280 would not do it justice. As of right now, I don't have a way to record the audio directly to my computer; that is something I would like to work on in the near future.
Matt, I have a question if you don't mind? I have two the same prerecorded casssettes, both does not have barcodes on j-card, both are white with black text and one of these two does not have screews. Which one came erlier?
Going on line here I find out my expensive SONY recorders don't work because of a flimsly nasty little belt. Thanks a lot, Sony. I really needed to use my equipment. I can't believe they'd make an expensive machine and put these flimsy little belts on that will disintegrate away right in the air. My belts just 'went away.' Who would have thought!
Do not buy cassette players like this. The belts are the first thing to wear out, are a pain in the ass to replace, and you will have nothing but regrets.

Excellent!
Hey Matt. That Sony dual cassette deck & the Sony 5-disc cd changer both look like a perfect match for each other. :) What do you think? :)
could you not record some youtube copy free music on to tape?
though it will still be youtube sound but then we could hear it.

Just use a 3.5 mm aux cable and connect it directly from your stereo to the mic input on your camera.
I thought of that, but the Sony DCR-TRV280 doesn't have a Audio In port.
matmroy
I didn't know that, lol. I've never used a Sony HandyCam before. Especially a older one.
It's not copyright laws it's TH-cam rules

I wish Sony would make those 100, 110 and 120 minute audio cassettes again because isn't cassettes making a comeback?
