Brother Hasan, this is not a substitute for authentic Islamic scholarship. This is just what it appears to be, a Westerner fascinated with Islam, trying his best to convey information about our religion from a semi-outside perspective. We can use it to further our own understanding of our particular tariqat and approach relations with other sects from a position of knowledge. No one is suggesting we do away with Deoband, Mecca Madina, Najaf, Qom, Al Azhar or Deoband. These are the main centres of Islamic learning. How can our friend here replace them? He is smart enough to know he can never replace them bi Ibnillah.

While I'm familiar with most of what you're saying here, your presentation brought perspective and context to it. Excellent work! There might be one little thing that I found oddly off. My experience has been that music does, indeed, play a very important role in our gatherings. Sema is practically a sacrament and the music is unique and amazing. Dr. Nurbakhsh gave us very formal guidelines for our conduct when engaged in Sema. This might be particular to the khanighas of America or something like that, but its been a major feature of our ritual gatherings in my personal experience. That said, I wouldn't expect anyone who hasn't participated in our orders gatherings to be familiar with this, so the oversight is understandable. Again, wonderful job! I'm a fan of your work! Indonesian here. Enjoy your video on Sufism so much! Please do take a look at Sufism in Indonesia. You can start with the story of Wali Sanga (The Nine Saints) & Syekh Siti Djenar. To put it simply, Siti Djenar is a rogue sufi saint that confronts the more conservative Wali Sanga. Wali Sanga tried to put down Siti Djenar because his teaching is deemed to be "too iconoclastic & borderline heresy", sometimes Siti Djenar is compared to Al-Hallaj. In the end, one of the Wali Sanga managed to kill Siti Djenar, but no one really knows of how Siti Djenar really died. Some said he attained "Moksha" so no one can find his body, other said his dead body bloomed into beautiful & fragrant flowers, some said lights as bright as sun emanates from his body when his followers tried to bury him. Yes so many version! It's just a single story from the Island of Java and there's a lot more sufi figures from other islands of Indonesia. Like, Hamzah Fansuri & Syekh Abdurrauf Sinkili from Sumatra, and more I recommend Geertz's "Religion of Java", Woodward "Java, Indonesia, and Islam" & Munir Mulkhan "Syekh Siti Jenar" (only avb. In Bahasa Indonesia). Again, thank you so much!

Watching all your talks, your very clear, if not always accurate. I watched your video on Naqshbandi, it was a lot different to my experience as a once practicing Naqshbandi, I actually felt that it was not as orthodox as some other very rigid interpretations, but that's my only criticism of the video. I never got too involved because I don't agree with the worship of Sheikhs, never the less the multi-racial group of Dervishes I met in the tariqah where some of the most sincere, humble, open, kind, friendly, generous, and loving people I have encountered on average, and I have dwelt with several tariqahs, since the mid 1970's. I'm sorry Filip you had to experience the bad and ugly. Sadly, for many it is a controversial subject being many times tied to political legitimacy/ethnicity, which makes it even more important to shed light unto it. The Turkish government still doesn't see alevi cem evis as places of worship. Alevis have been subjected to several pogroms in Dersim, Sivas, Maraş... The Bektashis were expulsed after the fall of the janissaries and oppresed by communist regimes. I'm sure you will be able to explain things in the clear and objective manner you always do.
Love this guy. He is not biased because he does not belong to any Sufi order and thus expose the magic or occult science that are practiced by he sufies as well. Many sufies are in denial about the Magic they are taught and believe everything they see are miracles. Thank you Filip.
The document shown @8:52 can't be a writing of Shah Ni'matullah as it's in Urdu not Farsi. Moreover it's prose rather than poetry. However it's talking about what appears to be Wahdat ul wajood so it could be a translation of his Farsi work.

There is no sultan as lame as Timurlane.”
- Shah Ni’matullah Wali
That's quite interesting. I'm surprised I never heard of him before 🥺 I like to mirror his kindness to animals
I think everyone should!
Always look forward to your uploads. Can you by any chance do a video on Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal?
I definitely will!
I'm from Kerman, and you thought me more about him today than I l'd ever learnt living literally 30 minutes away from his tomb.
Thank you for educating us on this saint. He was indeed correct to tell his followers to take up a profession. Islam does not encourage ascetic practices.
its not islam
I enjoy your videos very much. Your research and passion is very obvious.
Its very interesting to me that there is a common pattern to beliefs in all religions and sects
I'd love to see you do a video on the Bektashi's.
research as brilliant as always!
My great great grandfather on my mother's side was a Sufi master. he was known as taooso urafa. thanks for your work.
Awesome video. Do you consider doing a video on the relationship between Shia Islam and Sufism? Seems to be an important area for research.
Great video, really enjoyed it! You mentioned Tamerlane,in this video, some say he was one the most powerful Naqshbandi masters, and others considered him as tyrant, it would be great if you would make some video about him! Thanks!!!
Most of his political advisors were Naqshbandis, so there is definitely a connection!
@@LetsTalkReligion you right definitely there’s connection, if I’m not making mistake, his spiritual mentor, was sayyid Baraka, one of Naqlshbandi Tariqat
masters.Anyways looking forward for more of your videos greatly appreciate it!!!
8:53 you say he wrote in Persian, but display an Urdu text. Seems like a meditation on God, and a description of his qualities.
Lol! I thought since when I started understanding Persian as I speak Urdu!
Insightful as usual. Great work.
I think another reason the order was able to transition to Shia Islam was the fact that most sufi orders view Imam Ali (a.s.) and Imam Hussien (a.s.) similar to how shias view them
Great channel. Great job. Please could you make a video about Shorawari and illumination school. It's not a easy goal.
Like, Hamzah Fansuri & Syekh Abdurrauf Sinkili from Sumatra, and more
I recommend Geertz's "Religion of Java", Woodward "Java, Indonesia, and Islam" & Munir Mulkhan "Syekh Siti Jenar" (only avb. In Bahasa Indonesia).
Again, thank you so much!
went to Indonesia 1990...all wome dressed in beautiful traditional clothings...no I see them wearing this Arab fashion and looking stupid...such a pity to trade their own cultural heritage to something..so why are they not content with their own Sufism?
Salam
Hi,
can you please kindly advice whats the background music in This video.
Thanks
I look forward to your introduction/session on the Bekdashi order. I once heard it's origin is in the Balkan and that one of the Egyptian prince who declined the throne around the first world war followed the same order yet I'm not sure what characterizes Bekdashi order from others?
Lover and Beloved,
Desire and Desired,
Seeker and Sought,

So beautiful and liberating!

Anyway no big thing, keep up the good work dude. JZK.
If im not wrong i understand what you looking for ! I requmend you study shah naimatullahi order . This for all religions all race all gander and for all colours as well and not boundaries like other order have .
Loved it great video.
Love your videos
Would like it if you would consider making a video on Noorbakshi order as well
Love your work
Keep up. Learned a lot.
Plz make video on shams tabrez
Keep up the fantastic work; Amazing diverse channel for non partisan comparative religion (especially paired with esoterica). Ni'amtullahi unity of being feels similar to thunder perfect mind.
Just waiting your Instagram Profile for this channel. I really appreciate your job here!
Hi, please make video on Imam Husain and event of Karbala.
The base of Persian sufism is chivalry, compassion, love and service to humanity. It goes back to long before Islam. The first Sufi being Adam.
Shah Naimatullah r.a. predicted many incidents that impacted earth. If You would kindly study "Qaseeda Naimatullah Shah Wali" and make a video,it would be great and informative.
My mother is from the lineage of Syed Shah Niamatullah Hussaini. When his son Syed Shah Khalillulah Hussaini migrated to Bidar, India (Deccan) as per the request of Bahaman Shah (Bahamani Order). His lineage is still lives in India and mostly are practicing Sunnis.
So Ni'matullah Sufi order in India still Sunni?
@@marjanmerah3495 no such order remains at this point of time because there is heavy influence of Chishti Sufi order on Sunnis in India which is mostly orthodox sufi order.
I love your videos! Would you be willing to make a video about Sufism and ganja? I've noticed that in Pakistan smoking is very common at Sufi shrines, which I find super interesting
Can you please also do a video on shams tabreiz and rumi.
I love watching your detail videoa..jazakAllah❤
Loved, loved, loved it! Thank you 🌹
Great presentation. The Chishti order is much less understood today. Perhaps it might be worth covering that too?
the death of tabandeh was so sad , he died like a hero , I was waiting for him to give up since our govenment buys everyone but this person was honestly following his belief
Could you do a video abaut Scheich Nazim al haqqani al naqshibandi. Thank you.
Nice video as always!!!
This is quite brilliant!
Tq for the information on shah nimatullah . Appreciate if you can talk more on imam ghazalli.
There are brilliant Nimatullahi poems
with musical background on TH-cam I suggest all of you to search for them.
Another established Shii Sufi order would be the Oveisi, itself also divided in several branches.
How to find them ?!
@@zeldaaachen7200here is one of them th-cam.com/video/68BITHWAvFk/w-d-xo.html
“I perceive all the professors of exoteric knowledge to be full of learning with no applicatiom Day and night wasting their lives, pursuing discussion, chatter, and empty disputation” Shah Ni’matullah Wali
Very very interesting channel, learning more about Islam ❤️👍👍
Sufism is not really Islam. There are so many branches and many innovations that contradicts the sunnah of prophet Muhammad SAW.
MashaAllah just discovered this channel and it's amazing.
Have you covered West African Tarikas? That would be amazing.
Did you ever have a video up on Bektashism/Alevism? I swear you had one up but I can't find it anywhere
I did yes, but took it down because it caused some misunderstandings. Will probably do another one at some point!
@@LetsTalkReligion I would love to see a new one!
Please make detailed video on twelver shias. And beliefs
Love this guy. He is not biased because he does not belong to any Sufi order and thus expose the magic or occult science that are practiced by he sufies as well. Many sufies are in denial about the Magic they are taught and believe everything they see are miracles. Thank you Filip.
Good show, mate!
Fantastic video, as always! Would you consider doing a video on the chishti order in the future?
You did not mention about his predictions, was it intentional ?
100s of people in history throw random stuff out and its bound too come true or pushed too fit..
Hi there, thanks for this informative video.
Thanks for watching it!
@@LetsTalkReligion My pleasure. Such a good and productive channel you have..
Tack! Jätte bra video. Jag följer Naqshbandi tariqa. 💐🙏
The document shown @8:52 can't be a writing of Shah Ni'matullah as it's in Urdu not Farsi. Moreover it's prose rather than poetry. However it's talking about what appears to be Wahdat ul wajood so it could be a translation of his Farsi work.
Timur is a strange character to me I read an account of his campaigns and life, he seems to have had one part of his soul in the brutal old mongol nomad culture, and the other his father entrenched in the acknowledgement of the Divine.. And he seems to pay tribute to both sides with equal intensity lol
Hi when will you talk about sheikh Ahmadou bamba from senegal? Thanks
Always Authorities find sufis threatening which is very strange
great video brother.
Could you make a video o Imam Khomeini and his gnosticism?
U havent discussed his poeatic predictions... which he is famous for in sufi orders today ? If u could plz make a video on it..
Can you please do a video on the Mi'raj that would be greatly appreciated thank you
Great video! Just wanted to point out one thing. I know the pictures used are not accurate in representing the video but lots of the snapshots of poetry were urdu rather Persian. It's not a big deal at all. Just thought I might point it out! Great work over all loving the channel!
Thank you, that was very interesting. Appreciate your good work.
I've recently discovered this channel and am very impressed with the content and a big part of that is the effort you put into pronouncing the words correctly. Well done young man, one thing has been bothering me about this video though, when you say "shi'i" it really puts me off. I've never heard this word before but could easily infer it's meaning, I wonder though why you use that term instead of "shi'ite"?
جزاك الله خيرا
Could you make a video about Salman al Farisi al Mohammadi and his status in shi'ism and sufism ? It would be interesting to share
It's possible! I'll write it down! :)
Salman Al Farisi is a companion of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH just one of the companions, he has nothing to do with sufism or shiism to be clear. Those sects are inventing fake stories about him as they invented their own Philisophies away from Qur'an and Sunnah.

@@قآھړآلْطۈآغڀٿ theres a hadith that goes: If Abu Dhar knew what Salman knew, he'd kill him", meaning, Salman's spiritual knowledge was so deep and far beyond what most others knew, that Abu Dhar would think it heresy and kill him...
Seems to be that the more Tawheed-i a person gets in their spiritual path and practice, the more distant they get from the typical outwardly understanding of "God is One" they get, and that scares some people.
Will you do videos about Ismaili (aga khan branch), Mormonism or Jehovah witness?
